I had heaps of success using this Houndoom as a SkarmBliss counter:

Houndoom (M) @ Liechi Berry
Trait: Early Bird
EVs: 70 Atk / 188 Spd / 252 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Flamethrower
- Pursuit
- Substitute
- Reversal

I haven't used it in a few days recently, but I just put him back him.
His speed hits 300, which is good enough to outspeed those pokemon who hit 299 w/out +SPD personality.
The plan is to sub down until Liechi, then Reversal, if Skarm/Forre/Cloyster comes out, a single Flamethrower will knock them out, unless they have DEF ev's.

He's actually good to use, not just as a SkarmBliss counter, but as a Subrevver, I mean, the set works.

On another note, Blaziken can lear Thunderpunch now, so for Netbattling, go with Thunderpunch over HP Electric.

well then revise the blaziken HP electric moveset to thunderpunch

In general Fire pokemon will not break standard teams as Suicune and Salamence will lay the smack down on you.

Getting past "Skarmbliss" is not hard at all, it's getting past Suicune and other friends. :] Suicune is the absolute essence of stall.

Lapras is the best cune counter next to bliss... since it can p haze it w/ roar and t bolt...

and a poke that only beats a bliss w/ a ch isnt really much of a counter lol

Nonetheless, something that explodes on suicune should take off enough hp for dutrio or something to finish off... though the CH counter is stupid.

thats a high possibility as if theres a roaring cune, theres a spiking skarm...

and the fact that tyranitar is pretty common in a stall team
