I have always wondered that since Pokemon do not exist in real life we use actual animals instead to make it seem like Pokemon actually is real. There are some theories I have to try and make this actually happen.
1 Make sure you own a pet or an animal to begin with.
2 Teach the animal to fight and make sure it picks up all the attacks that you teach it.
3 Since Poke Balls are not real take a cage and throw it at the wild animal that appears nearby and trap it and once it is trapped then close the cage and befriend it before opening the cage again.
4 Go to like a place where you will find lots of wild animals and once you find one then battle it.
5 Before you go on your Pokemon adventure go to like a vet or pet store and buy a lot of medication for that pet and don't forget to feed or give it a drink.
6 Keep in mind that Vets or Pet Hospitals can resemble PCs and can heal the animal like an actual PC can.
7 Teach that animal moves that can actually be done in real life.
8 Whenever you see someone else has pets as well then ask if you want to battle them and if they say no then just walk away.
9 Faint does not mean murder. It means injure the animal without killing it and the severe injuries would prevent it from fighting while still having a life and could be healed at the Vet or Pet Hospital.
Tell me if these are good theories to make Pokemon really exist in real life and if any of U alls have something to tell me about these ideas then post it here.

I think it's wrong to cause sentient beings pain to satisfy the vanity of people. Something like that should stay a video game. In my opinion it's really awful to make animals fight until they're incapacitated then heal them to fight again. This occurs in Pokemon, but I don't think it causes them pain.

Really because animals fight each other all the time which means that they can handle the fighting and they won't really die from this. For example let's take a parrot and you find a wild mouse somewhere in the bushes. U can attack the mouse while it'll attack back then throw the poke cage on it and trap it inside while taking it to a vet to heal the animal and prepare it for the next trainer or gym battle.

They fight each other for protection, to be the leader or they're just hunting. I'm by no means an animal activist, but why cause them unnecessary pain, why make them fight if they don't want to?

They'll act as if they are Pokemon and all Pokemon like to fight.

You want to make real animals fight? What in the world makes forcing animals to hurt each other a good idea?

Hmm... I'm not quite sure that this is an appropriate thread, so I'm going to close it before it goes any further. Pitting animals against each other in fights is illegal in many parts of the world because those animals do get hurt or killed, whereas Pokemon is fantasy- nothing is actually harmed in these fictional battles. While I understand you aren't actually advocating this and it's more of a theory like you stated, I don't see much positive discussion coming out of this thread. Sorry.
