I am almost certain this goes here....

But anyways, vBulliten 3.04 was released last night at 1:41 am EST which my forums is as we speak upgrading too.

The developers call it a minor upgrade, but a necessary one. This upgrade adds alot of security to the holes exploited by the worms we recently saw and some expierenced.

Anyways, what do you guys think about the new version....

Most hated 3.x, so is 3.04 any better?

Nah, all of it is the same, minus a few bug fixes. I hate 3.0's UI too, but it was new and cool and everybody wanted it.

The worm they're talking about is the Santy worm which exploited security holes in the phpBB forums. (Bugs are fixed if your phpBB is upgraded to 2.0.11.)

EDIT: By the way, I think it's spelled/spelt(sp?) vBulletin. :cross-eye

    Richie can't spell :P

And I like the 3.0 look, I hate the old look.

Well, I guess I'd better upgrade before I open the forums back up. Now that I've just reuploaded all the 3.0.3 files. x.x

Man, the forums will never come back... >_>

bleh, i got it... its ok... i personally think the admin cp is still slow...

I can spell when I am not deprived of sleep xD, don't worry I am on my normal sleep cycle again. So expect the return of good posts.

    Admin CP slow?

I think it just may be Kyle's host, because my Admin CP goes fast.

I hated 2.x so much, 3.x it is much more better designed.

that was the day vBulletin was slow. I mean, the cp callback was slowing me down. Usually its pretty fast...

Is there anything added to the admin cp? Or just bug fixes?

its the call back that was making it so slow. thats coz teh vbulletin server was so slow x.x'' anyway, i believe it is just bug fixes, as i have not seen any new features

v3 has better features. I <3 its proper quick reply system.

Well, I just logged into my admin panel to be smacked up-side the face with this:

"There is a newer version of vBulletin available to download
    Latest version available: 3.0.5
You are currently running vBulletin version 3.0.4
Click here to download vBulletin 3.0.5 from the Members' Area"

Apparently there was a major security hole in all the previous v3 releases that 3.0.5 fixes. =/

o_O So is PC gonna update now?

I think they'll wait for something like 3.0.7 or another hacking. XD

Personally, I just wish that they'd stop these new releases long enough for me to get WCF back up and running... x.x

I just wish they'd install vB updates as soon as they came out on PC so that we wouldn't get hacked again o_O

Great New News~~ Vbulletin 3.05 Came out Yesterday and it Rocks -- Too good Fixes..3.4 is just old when compared...Its really good.

o_O We've already found out about 3.0.5, CC. Please, er, read other people's posts.

Yeah, since I got my license, I have been through 3 versions of vBulletin
    3.0.3
    3.0.4
