It has a few that made me laugh, but the real gold on that site is their Super Effective comic. That's pure genius.

I heart thier face <3

Funny, I found out about VG Cats because of PC.
Someone had an avatar from VG Cats, and so I typed the URL.

And now it years later.

I really enjoy what Scott comes out with, especially Super Effective.

Adventure log, I'm pretty sure why he rarely continues that now.

Variations upon a theme, namely that of Penny Arcade. Bad jokes, poor criticisms of games and distasteful strips. The bottomest of the bottom barrel of webcomics.

And thier little dog too!

That's the best one. I laughed for 5 minutes straight when I read that and the one before it.

Anyway: It's really hit-or-miss for me. Some are great, some I just don't get at all. I've read them all, and I check back every month or so to see any new ones.

Awesome. XD

Caution, Large Image:
Spoiler:

This one, I had mixed feelings about because Aries wasn't beating up Leo, but it was heartwarming. XD

All in all, crude(but Cyanide and Happiness is crude-er) but enjoyable. XD

I think this should belong in Other Clubs.

I love this webcomic. Super Effective is great, and his various comics on Pokémon, Metroid, and Super Mario Bros are great. Bad Mushrooms, well, I never finished reading it. But what I did read, it's great.

It's not a fanclub, it's just talking about VG cats. :\

As for me refer to past comments: Hit and miss, funny, SUPER EFFECTIVE, ASDF SCOTT DIDN'T UPDATE.

Yeah, they were good.
Most of the other ones were actually really bad, and some of them were pretty good.
But the real good ones mostly flocked in Super Effective. About 3/4th of the ones there was pretty funny, and 1/3 of that portion was hilarious.

It's really gone down hill recently. He tries too hard for a non-existent punchline, making him take 4 months per comic. He's fallen into the trap that so many comics, TV shows, and comedian get stuck in; thinking that vulgar instantly equals comedy. It doesn't.

The thing that pisses me the most off about the artist, is that while his comics are always late (even when he promises to have them out the next day, which never happens), he's always on time with updates for when he's going to be at Cons selling merchandise. He's still riding off money made from VG Cats when he only puts up a new comic once in a blue moon. I sure wish I could get money to live off of from working once every few months. And by working, I mean going to a Con.

Just to those making the Penny Arcade comparisons? You're wrong. VGcats is actually..I dunno...FUNNY.
Penny Arcade has been trash for years~

Exactly. I don't know where people get off loling all over Penny Arcade when I can't remember the last time a strip made me so much as smile. (Plus the art style has become dead fugly.)

As for VG Cats, I still think it's amusing and I love Super Effective!, but I agree with Shadow in that the creator has a lame sense of 'regular updates'. I like to think he has an IRL job that prevents him from updating when he says he will, but if he's always at Cons pedalling his stuff, then...:/

As far as I know, he lives off the money he makes from advertising, products, and his girlfriend. I have never seen him mention a job, only crediting his lack of updates to being busy with cons or redoing the same strip over and over again.

And Penny Arcade vs. VG Cats is a matter of opinion. VG Cats hasn't made me giggle from a new update in over a year. Penny Arcade still has things that makes me fall from my chair.

I used to like it but the lack of updating has mostly killed VG Cats for me. It's one thing to take a hiatus and quite literally tell the fanbase, "Sorry, but I've just been having real problems coming up with material on time lately" and quite another to just have no update schedule whatsoever. No one wants to go back and refresh your main page every single day. I hate when webcomics do this.

Anyway, I don't think there's been a VG Cats comic that's made me laugh in a while. They're so few and far between that I don't even notice them until the comic is already a bit outdated. :/ Scott's good at drawing so I never mind reading the comics but the content just... doesn't interest me these days. (I must admit, I do like the Super Effective shorts, though.)

...I think I live in the same city as him, hmm.

I read this when it was around #150 to about #250, I preferred the style the older ones were drawn in. Went back in 2009 to see if Scot did #200 but the 'TBA 2009' part had been changed to 'TBA never'.
I wouldn't call myself a fan of any webcomic, just had nothing else to do.

I love VG Cats, it is super funny. I loved the ones that had to do with Mario, Legend of Zelda, Pokemon, Inuyasha, etc...those were great. I used to remember the creator will update every Monday...hmm. Well it doesn't bother me if he is busy doing something else. I will only read VG Cats once in awhile.
