I've just managed to get Wi-Fi up and running. It has been great, although it does get a bit tempermental at times.

Anyway, I'm thinking of getting some NES, Turbograpfx or even SNES games via Virtual Console? Could anyone suggest anything?

    Note: European releases only please.

    Thanks ^_^

i think that pokemon snap would be a good choice.

especially as this is a pokemon forum!

Um pokemon snap, ocorina of time are th N64 ones. But if you want classics I got a bunch:
bubble bobble legend of zelda kirby kid icarus and metroid. These are all the starting games for the ninty heroes. Oh lets not forget super mario

Also link to the past its one of th best 2D zeldas. And the way it plays its like a prototype twilight princess in my eyes.

just a tip, if you buy a snes game i'd suggest only using the classic controller, the gc controller doesnt feel right with most snes games -_-. Suggestion-wise super mario world for the snes is a good choice, and any of the old insanely good games you might never have played, OoT, mario 64, etc.

I wouldn't repurchase any games you already have unless it's like...your favourite N64 game ever and you want to see it 480p. I would really concentrate on the N64 games. The other games are great. They're classics. But, they are fairly simple and primitive compared to today's games - even those of the same series. I wouldn't purchase the originals except for nostalgia.

That said, it is a crime if you haven't ever played the original Mario, Metroid, and Zelda.

I got my niece a Zelda collection for the Gamecube (Legend of Zelda, Zelda II, Zelda Ocarina of Time, and Majora's Mask). I was happy to find out that you could use the D-Pad for the first two Zelda games.

I had gotten them because in her youthful inexperience, she had never played the original Zelda games that I grew up with (namely Zelda I and II). Well, she has now and she keeps telling me that Legend of Zelda is driving her insane. I simply responded by telling her to try inputting ZELDA as her name. I had a good laugh there, because that was the same way I was introduced to the second quest. What's funny is she actually did better on the second quest than the first one.

Jeez! Doesn't anyone read the first post any more? I asked for a NES title!<grumbles>

Well, I'm looking for these kinds of games because I was brought up at the end of the 8-bit era and into the 16-bit era. I bought an NES on eBay with a few games including Kid Icarus, just to see what they're like, but I don't really want to go through waiting weeks to get these games. So that's the reason for asking about the Virtual Console.

I would consider Kirby's Adventure, but I already have Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland for the GBA (It's basically the same game). I already have three different versions of Super Mario Bros (the original NES, NES classics on GBA and the remake on Super Mario All-Stars).

What about Excitebike (NES)? Is that any good?

Edit: Managed to get a couple of VC games - including Donkey Kong Country (I played this before, but never actually owned it).
