In Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, our mascots are [Primal] Groudon and [Primal] Kyogre.

Groudon is a gigantic dinosaur-like Pokémon with the ability of expand and raise continents. While Kyogre is a giant whale-like Pokémon that possesses the power to widen the sea through bringing torrential downpours.

Last but never least is the third member, Rayquaza, a huge serpentine who normally resides and flies endlessly in the ozone layer. Legend says it only descends to earth if Kyogre and Groudon are clashing. While the Primal duo didn't clash in Gen VI, like in the Emerald version. Rayquaza received its own arc which takes place during post-game.

My thoughts:
Plot wise I'm fine with what we have, but it can be better. Something like the player's Kyogre/Groudon against Maxie's Primal Groudon/Archie's Primal Kyogre, depending on the version you're playing. Then Zinnia making her appearance with a Rayquaza.
I'm fine with the designs of the Primal duo, Mega Raquaza on the other hand went overboard for me. The green dragon's Mega form is beautiful, but it looks like Rayquza's long lost cousin or it's something like Plusle and Minun, Sawk and Throh.
