The skipped episode that everyone thought it was banned and not going to be aired has air..

    any comments?

It's funny that 4Kids decided to delay that episode until now. It was two episodes too late according to the Japanese version, but I feel like they got a good reason as why they did so:

Suprisingly, I found AAML bits in the episode! First off, May instantly found out that Romeo was in love, unlike Ash, who, of course, never caught on. He didn't even seem all that interested after he found out, as well. Just like in the old days, Ash is still way too thick-skulled to understand the concept of love. That didn't clinch it, but the last lines that May said to Ash suprised me. "You'll understand when your older, Ash" was the line that May said, and I can remember that Misty said that exact line before.

It would make sense that this episode would air after Misty made her appearence.

Ok. Ash is AT LEAST 2 years older than May. What the heck was up with "You'll understand when you're older, Ash."?? Did anyone ELSE think this was odd??

Ash, in my opinion is shaping up to be a Tenchi Clone. He's going to have ALL the girls flocking to him, and he's going to be a complete moron about it...

Age? What's that in the show???

Trying their best not to actually mention age, the producers really don't want to say that Ash (or anybody else) actually aged. Sure they mentioned time here and there, but as far as they're concerned, Ash is still ten years of age, and I for one really don't want that thick-headed trainer to grow up!

I'm inclined to agree with you, SBaby. But I did find it a bit odd what May told Ash considering he *may* be older... I mean, we don't know exactly how old May is, but I still love her regardless. These type of little quirks make me love the show even more. :)

I'm really glad they kept the episode in its original form (or at least seemingly; I've only snapped shots of this episode).

Yes its very odd that she's saying that. I mean in in the 3rd movie of pikachu short they say that one year has passed, well not exact word but like that. So it mention that Ash is getting old.

It was okay, but I didn't like the dubbed voices.... X_X

(because I watched the japanese verson and saw the difference)

I only seen that twice them saying it. "ONE YEAR HAS PASSED" in the original Pokemon Johto for the Final Badge" and somewhere in the JOHTO Eps. Im happy the episode got unbanned, im gonna watch soon. real soon. didnt it get banned cause of Gender wise?

But when he ends a league tournament thing, he says that one year has passed, so he must be like 14 or 15 now.

It was a cute episode. The only thing that triped me up was Illumise's name. I always pronounced it ILL-OO-MISS, but it's supposedly EE-LOO-ME-ZAY. The latter seems needlessly complicated, but I guess that's the way it goes.

lol, that be a better name. Illoomiss. lol, then u got a Illoomr. LOL. ok seriously, whats up with the Ending Song? whatever happened to the Pokemon Rap? and What not and those other great Title Songs? Now u got this? And btw, who got that TRAINER CHOICE right? with the Mudkip one? I said Roselia, but they should Pulse? huh?

I'll admit, I thought Roselia would've been better. Leaving stats out the picture, Mudkip's attacks wouldn't be very effective on Roselia, and would do normal damage to Plusle. I don't know why they were thinking Plusle at the time.

I just watched the ep in Japanese today... it was cute. ^^

Though from what I'd heard, Takeshi though Satoshi was the girl... but apparently he knew it was Satoshi. That made it even funnier. XD

well, it's soooooooo funny when Brock tried to hug Ash (dressed as the girl) and ash being chased by Brock..

It's sooooooooo funny and cute. XD

That was funny(Ashes 2nd time having to dress as a girl)

As far as I recall, they DID acknowledge Ash starting off at age 10 and going through Kanto in a year. I would assume it took a few months to get around the Orange Islands, and possibly another year and few months in Johto since he and the group spent more time making stops (*cough*fillerepisodes*cough*). Satoshi seems to be spending more time in Hoenn than he did in Kanto, so chances are that he's around 12 or 13. May's comment made no sense since she's younger than him. o_O She can't understand it at her age if she tells someone older than her that he has to be older to understand.

    Anyways, I actually liked the dub of this episode. My only problem was Eric Stuart's constant shouting as Brock and James when you could clearly tell they're talking. x_X I hate how he feels the need that he has to shout all of his lines for the characters he plays. Romeo and Juliet's English accents irked me abit, but not by much. Mainly because it makes no sense for Asians to have English accents. >_>;

At least Ash didn't have to be called Ashley again...

Even with all of these plausible answers, I still think Ash is 10. He never got taller (if he did, then everyone grows at the same rate...), his attitude didn't change all that much, and still doesn't grasp the concept of love. Sure, he mentioned a year has passed at least twice (second trip to Viridian City, Pikachu and Pichu short), but nobody's ever revealed their ages after they introduce themselves.

Only people that said their ages thus far: Ash - 10 (THE first episode); May - 10 (first episode of Pok?mon Advanced)

I'll cash in my two cents about this episode. It was good. I liked it. Also, about Romeo and Juilet's voices, that's not the first time I heard voices like that. There was a kid with an Alakazam that challenged Gary's Umbreon to a battle in the "Power Play" episode with that kind of voice. Also, in "Hocus Pok?mon", Lily's (the witch, not Misty's sister) voice was like that as well.

Important note: You'll understand this next part better if you know a lot about the Megaman X series.

For any of you that have played Megaman X4 or have at least watched the cinema clips that are in that game, you'll notice that Iris's voice has that same kind of accent.

There. That's my opinion about this episode. I might even write a fanfic about Romeo and Juliet getting married.

While I don't know the exact episode, (I'm pretty sure it was somewhere in the Johto Episodes), Jesse makes a statement about how many years they've been tailing the "twerps". I think she may have said three years.
