Weekly Video Game Franchise DEATH BATTLE! [Nintendo]

Welcome one and all to the first week of Franchise DEATH BATTLES where we are going to show what video game franchise PC likes the most! This will take a couple of weeks/months to complete, and thus, you will get to choose between much video game franchises to see your favourites! Now, if you'd like to see what this is all about, feel free to read the rules below:

Spoiler:

- Every week, there will be a poll attached, with different video games. Each thread will have different video games from different franchises and from different companies like Nintendo, Sega, Capcom, and so on.
- You are not restricted to one vote - you can vote as many video game favourites as you like!
- In the event of a tie at the end of the week, I, Dragon will have the tie-breaking vote, just to have a clear winner!
- Frequent voters will receive an emblem featuring the winning video game at the end!
- Feel free to explain who you voted for, and why on this thread!
- Any questions? Feel free to ask me in VMs or PMs!

So, as said, this week will focus on the nintendo franchises, so choose your favourite nintendo series of games, and the winner will be posted on Monday, April 13th!

In all honesty, I've played none of these franchises save for Smash Bros. and Mario. I've seen some of Animal Crossing and Fatal Frame, and I've played Kirby and Zelda, but I've not actually completed a game of either series.

So, my vote went to Smash Bros.

Fire Emblem, Golden Sun, Kirby and Zelda are my picks. I have never found myself bored when playing any of those games unlike some of the others.

Is Pokémon not an option? I feel like it must have not been included on the poll because it's like a default option on an actual Pokémon forum but I don't see anything stating we can't vote for it in the post. (I'm also a little unclear what counts as "Nintendo" since like... Fatal Frame has always been multiplatform in the past. :B)

If it is an option, my vote goes to Pokémon because it's the only Nintendo series I'm pretty much guaranteed to get every main entry in. Everything else, I either don't play or play very, very sporadically.

I guess otherwise, my favourite on the list is probably Picross because my god I just disappear for a whole week whenever I get a new one of those. >_> I won't resurface until I've perfected every single puzzle so I have to be reaaally careful whenever I get one that I can actually afford the time sink, hahaha.

I've added Pokemon, although, I was pretty skeptical because, well, this board steers away from pokemon, but, no matter. Also, Fatal Frame was a mistake.. sorry. Just ignore that!

Looking at that list makes me realize how many Nintendo franchises I've missed out on during childhood and from having not purchased one of their systems since GameCube.

To be fair, I've only played several of them including The Legend of Zelda, Mario, Pikmin and then others here-and-there, but nothing to warrant absolutely loving any other series other than Zelda. So that would be my pick!

Pokemon since that's the only franchise I played.

Mario, Zelda, Animal Crossing, Smash and Pokémon. Donkey Kong's nice for me too, but I haven't played enough of the series to say it's one of my favourites. But DKCR3D is awesome.

From the list I've played Earthbound, Fire Emblem, Legend of Zelda and Pokémon. I chose to pick only Fire Emblem and Legend of Zelda, while those two are just amazing. From those two I really wished I had more games available to play which I haven't played yet. Pokémon and Earthbound are good games too, just a little less.

i'm a nintendork, so i played most of the franchises listed here at least once c:
but um, my votes went to Pokémon and Animal Crossing because obvious, and Pikmin, Advance Wars and Golden Sun.

I chose Golden Sun, Zelda and Pokemon, as those are essentially the Nintendo franchises I play most.

Votes went to Advance Wars, Fire Emblem and Golden Sun because they were the ones I really enjoyed spending countless hours on playing.

I voted for FE, Advance Wars, Smash Bros, and Pokemon just because I loved playing them and I'm somewhat adept at them

My top three picks are Animal Crossing, Pokemon, and Kirby. I played the first two for hundreds of hours and would use multiple characters/versions for myself just to have extra space. I'd restart the game just to experience it again.

I've loved some of the few Kirby games I've played (Crystal Shards, Amazing Mirror, Air Ride). Kirby's games are loads of fun and the powers allow for so many different experiences through the same level. There's something about the tiny puffball that appeals to me. I almost always pick him in Smash Bros (this would have been my 4th pick).

I debated between Fire Emblem, Pokemon, and Smash Bros for a couple of minutes, finally picked FE, and then scrolled down and realized that it's possible to select multiple choices...argh.
