Weird Battles

    I'm curious to see everyone's response to this topic:

    Have you ever been apart of a battle that had a really weird/unexpected turnout in any of the Pokemon games?


    Today my cousin and I were discussing Pokemon and he reminded me of a weird battle I had back on Pokemon Stadium when we were younger.
    I took nothing but first form Pokemon into the battle against Mewtwo. At first, things weren't going so hot for me, as all of the pokemon I took into battle were dropping like flies. This wasn't really surprising to me, as I wasn't expecting to win, but lo and behold I send a Squirtle out as my last Pokemon and somehow managed to hit him with Blizzard, freezing him.
    Since back in Gen 1 you never thawed out of being frozen, I actually won the battle against Mewtwo.
     
    I battled my sister in Ruby once and even though she was farther in the game to where she was above my level, she had absolutely nothing that could hit my Shedinja. So she cried and begged me to return it, and of course, I'm not doing that. So she pulled the plug on me. Pulling plugs, man. Remember those days?!
     
    I remember this was a glitch in either R/S/E series or FR/LG, but while surfing I ran into a trainer with a Kingdra, used Thunderbolt and got the message "It's Super Effective". At the time I assumed that it was just because of Kingdra's water type being weak to water, a few years later I found out that Dragon is resistant to Electric attacks. XD

    This only happened against one trainer. My brother ended up running into him on the other version and ended up getting the same message XD
     
    I battled a random trainer in a double battle in wi-fi, and he had like 6 Darkrai. I lost.
     
    I was looking for random opponents on Battle Revolution. I get a match with a trainer using Pokemon like Cleffa, Mime Jr. and Seedot. (can't remember the others, but they were all first stage or baby Pokemon.) I'm using my Platinum team of Aerodactyl, Gliscor, Luxray, Weavile, Lucario, and Giratina - a team that has beaten teams consisting of 6 Legendary Pokemon before!

    Opponent used Trick Room, followed by combinations of special berries, Protect, and Explosions...total destruction...I wanted to cry...
     
    If they used Explosion, how did they defeat your Giratina?
     
    A bunch of times on WiFi I have come across weird battles. Some guy had a whole team of magikarps and another had a full team of Rayquaza ._.
     
    Hoenn Route 119. Weirdest battle, I think. I had a Swellow that I taught Fly and I battled a Ninja Boy. He sent out a Koffing then I used Fly. It exploded and died. Then he sent out Ninjask, which I killed in one hit with Swellow.
     
    I had a metronome battle with someone in a tourney once. I won by hax. Mewtwo used Metronome Sheer Cold and hit on first try and later on my opponent's Celebi used Metronome Explosion on my Dusknoir once. Complete hax.

    It was a 4 on 4 battle, I don't think I used my Giratina for it because I didn't think I'd need to! But there was more than just Explosion (berry-influenced attacks and such) but that was the first attack. But either way, I got destroyed by baby Pokemon!
     
    Many times in Pokemon Stadium I would play some friends, one day, a friend of mine decided to go all rock types. I had a more well balanced team but was still crushed by a Golem and Rhydon.
     
    Yellow Version, Battle against Blaine:
    Blaine was down to his last pokémon, his lv.54 Arcanine, at half health. My Pikachu was my last trained Pokémon standing. After him, I was down to my HM slave lv.15 Lapras and lv.5 Rattata. Pikachu took a Fire Blast to the face, but not before getting a lucky paralysis with Thundershock (I was a kid, I didn't know that Thunder Wave was better). I send out Lapras, just wanting to get this over with.

    The next three turns went like this:
    Enemy Arcanine is paralyzed and cannot move!
    Lapras used Water Gun!
    It's Super Effective!
    Enemy Arcanine is paralyzed and cannot move!
    Lapras used Water Gun!
    It's Super Effective!
    Enemy Arcanine is paralyzed and cannot move!
    Lapras used Water Gun!
    It's Super Effective!
    Enemy Arcanine fainted!

    ...

    I literally rofl'd for like ten minutes as I watched my lapras grow to lvl.24. XD
