Historicly blue is most popular and most used.. now throw in anime or gaming and all the rules change... any (non offensive) color is acceptable.

Steve is right...for professional pages blue should most likely be use..but when you put thing like anime in there...you just need things like vibrant gfx that will pop out at the view and keep him/her intruiged...

blue, but as long as the site doesnt resemble a craptacular geocities site with tons of animated gifs and massive use of the times font, i dont mind the color all too much.
