Every been on a site or a manga store and found yourself drawn to the same old genre? Or repelled away by another?

Personally, I'm always reading Adventure manga because school life and stuff like that bores the living crap out of me. Life is samey enough without reading how a boring guy meets a tsundere girl. >_> Martial arts is what I'm really into, also. The only non-adventure genre I can tolerate is TWGOK.

Also, the day I read shounon Ai or yaoi is the day where Hell freezes over and penguins fly.

I'm pretty much into every genre (except harems) but I especially love romance/comedy in a manga. If it so happens that it also happens to be mixed with some other genres than it makes it even better for me. :)

I'm pretty content with anything as long as it's not them shoujo 1v1 romance (SoL and harem doesn't count obviously) and mechas. Well, there are some exceptions, but they're few and far between.

Sign me up for a harem any day though.

Don't really read manga much tbh. But if it counts for anime, it's usually sports on the top and then maybe some sort of action or mystery/psychological type genre. Aside from that it's normally the synopsis on anichart rather than the genre.

Except shounen ai/yaoi, I'd take anything to be frank. And, unlike a lot of people, I'm also big on hentai and series possessing explicit content. So, seriously, nothing is off limits. :p

Although just saying "as long as it is good enough, I wouldn't mind if it is any genre" wouldn't exactly be true. I've seen myself craving series from the following genre more often than others - Comedy, Romance, Action. Then there's Sci-Fi and Thriller genre both of which I'm a big fan of as well. Particularly the latter since I like being kept at the edge of my seat. :3

I don't have a particular genre that I love the most, although I do know that I will absolutely avoid almost anything that's moeblob slice of life, and I tend to lean away from trashy ADHD shit like Kill la Kill or FLCL. Idk how to explain my anime preferences, but I like more serious shows like Samurai Champloo or Paranoia Agent.

I'm open to anything but find myself reading/watching a lot of shounen stuff.
Maybe it's the kid inside me.

For manga, I usually go for shoujo stuff--romance, drama, slice of life, etc. For anime, I usually like sci-fi and fantasy stuff. I generally don't care much for shounen anything, although there are some very notable exceptions (Soul Eater and FMA).

I can really get into just about anything as long as there's some semblance of story and the art doesn't look like something I drew. Romance, SoL, Action, Adventure, Mecha, Fantasy, etc. etc.. There's not really anything that I can say I outright dislike. There's some gems in everything and there's at least a few more things that are watchable/readable in every genre.

When a new season approaches I find myself watching action, fantasy, slice of life (the 'normal kind' - not necessarily moe) and romantic comedies the most.

I'm very fond of the mystery genre, across media, but it includes anime as well.
I can accept a pseudo-mystery such as a thriller, but I still prefer mystery above the rest.

I get drawn to drama often surprisingly. They can be really amazing. As a side thing, Romance can go hand in hand with Drama so those to an extent as well.

I never look at tags or anything before watching a show though so maybe it's just by chance I end up watching them.

I'm totally into mech and mystery, and I am not into romance and I have totally nothing with hentai. Though the plots may be of high quality, I seriously can't understand how people find drawn characters sexy, lollz. I'll choose a living human being of flesh and blood over a digitally created character any time ;). Though I do understand it's of course much easier to have an artificial character do stuff that normal people can't do, whether it's because it's not legal or simply because of physics xD

Am I an awful person if I say harem?

I really like anything, as long as it's not yaoi. And for some reason I just can't get into sci-fi stories.

Magical Girl and Mecha. I have the highest success rate with both, and for some reason I enjoy action scenes a lot more if they involve girls in costume or giant robots...or both; Cross Ange was amazing. I've gone into some truly horrid shows of these genres entirely blind and come out regretting my lack of discretion (Madoka and Reconguista in G are the two biggest ones of recent times) but mostly I enjoy what I watch from either. I usually give most police/detective shows a chance to impress me as well; if the plot is good enough I tend to enjoy the intrigue, although those can be dreadfully dull at times.

Otherwise I just pick and choose based on what looks interesting from the plot summary.
