why do people insist on user ledgendary pokemon online or at all for that fact. they require no skill to win with and they take the whole point out of haveing a "fair fight" if you fight a arceus and you have you awesomly trained pokemon, you have a 1/8 chance of winning. the only thing i can immagine winning is a perfectly trained swellow "which i have" with Guts and Facade with the toxic orb. ive seen many people kill ledgendaires but thats because they are tactical with their moves and the Uber trainer is a dumbass...

Or, of course, unless you use one yourself.

That's why some seasoned trainers use them: they have their own tier of competitive battling. Of course, little kids using them in normal battles is against standard rules, so if you catch somebody here using them in a non-Uber fight, report them.

By the way, keep in mind that not ALL Legendaries are Uber. That's a classic misconception among newbies....

...And, yes, it is sometimes fun to fight a Kyogre versus a Giratina.

Ubers are fun when used against other ubers. Its just as competetive as OU in my opinion. Believe me, mewtwos huge SpAtt doesnt seem as big against a max SpDef lugia. Thats why there's such thing as a tier list, so you can use pokemon in the correct enviroments. That way it stays as good clean fun.

And 1/8 of winning? Where did you pull that statistic from?

I am pretty sure he just used any random number.

Anyway, your point makes sense, and I guess nobody can say otherwise but people who use Ubers simply don't know the standard gameplay or think it's stupid to follow rules. Sorry but there isn't much to discuss. Everyone agrees they are unfair, but you are talking about random people who are unaware of this. That means nothing can be done about it. Also, this should have been posted in Strategies & Movesets but there isn't much to discuss, I think.
