What kind of avatar do you prefer? and WHY .~.

    Square? Rectangle? Transparent background? Portrait? Full-body shot? Full-face? Half-face? Icon? Grotesque? Macabre? Nature scenery? Animated? Realistic? The pre-made ones on PC? etc etc?

    I prefer partial-face avatars because the unseen portion of the face is left up to the imagination of the observer. For all you know my avatar's character has six rows of vertically aligned teeth.
     
    I prefer Anime Avatars than celebrities. ^^;

    It's because I'm an Anime Otaku. hhaha :D and I liek it~ :3 simple as that. XD
     
    I prefer to keep avatars that are close-ups of the face of a person or an anime character. There's no rock-solid reason behind it, though. Its kinda more of the fact that I just like it that way. xD;
     
    I prefer to have my avatar matching my theme, which is usually a photograph of a celebrity. It really depends on which image I find attractive - and is, therefore, an image of their face, although it may be partial or front-on.
     
    My Avatar is always of characters I like. :3 I like to make them bright and colourful if they're in colour, and sharp and deep-black if they're in greyscale. I don't tend to really make a ~theme~, as I'm new to the whole forum thing XD My sig just tends to be whatever I think of at the time. :3
     
    I change regularly. I have weird avatars a lot of the time. XD; Don't really have a preferance.

    I just go for a picture of whatever I'm interested in, with some words or maybe a heart if it's a shippy-type pic.
     
    I prefer realistic ones like famous people.
    But then again, I like them to match my avatar which kind of.. Expresses me..?

    Any avatar that matches my mood. Usually has to be related to my signature somehow. There is no real hardcore reason behind it. I just like it that way.
     
    Transparent backed portrait (before I found out how it'd have a 1px black border), generally borderless and almost invariably a manga female. I can quite handily draw my own but the fact I don't goes to show I'm a lazy bint.

    I only think about the person or thing i want and pick the coolest one ^^'
     
    I'm partial to square ones with rounded corners, or Pokemon sprites, either edited or not.
    I like the way the half face/partial face avatars look.. but every time I attempt one my perfectionism nags me and I end up making it full face. D:

    My only real stipulation when using an avatar is that it usually needs to match whatever kind of theme I'm going for at the time, but I'm pretty lenient even with that.

    As you can see, I've chosen the no avatar route as of right now. :D
     
    I wouldn't say I have a preference. Atleast for myself. Sometimes my avatars are real life pictures, sometimes they're anime, and sometimes they're just miscellaneous junk I find on the web.

    Although, I do have a soft spot for avatars and sigs that are made by people on this website. Since most of them come out very well and I think are very admirable.
     
    I prefer anime related avatars. The one I have now is a placeholder until I can make one to match my signature. A spinning Quality Inn logo really doesn't go along with Blue/Leaf XD and lately I've tried to somewhat do full avatar/signature themes.
