What kinds of weapons will be used in WW3

Tch. Bio weapons could become quite effective an' decimate entire armies, an' laser weaponry could be effective because it would be hard to block, and, being massless energy, you could store a lot of charges in one single battery cell. XD
...clones would take a very long time to grow however(unless they fid a way to accelerate the process), but I for one think they'll use RC robotic war machines to reduce their number of casualties -- like RC MIG planes and stuff...
...but nukes an' H-bombs would still pwn! XD

Hmm, Clone Soldiers sounds like a stretch right now, but I wouldn't be suprised if they were used in future wars.
Real Lightsabers are a realistic possibility, as crazy as that statement sounds("Hey Mom look at my lightsaber!" "WTF!"), but I doubt they would be used in war. Melee weapons are always at a disadvantage to ranged ones, and the focus of Star Wars battles wasn't around the weapon itself, it was about being able to anticipate attacks with an unknown force, convieniently labeled 'the force'. Without those acclaimed superhuman Jedi reflexes, the weapon is rendered useless. Why? Because a laser sword won't defend you from many bullets being released from a sub-machine gun, it just doesn't work like that.

So my opinion on it all, aside from what I've already spoken on, are that each of those will just improve, unless 'the force' is activated, in which you will have to excuse my second statement. Also, I think this belongs in OVP.

It's going to look like the Iraq war on land, but there will be massive air and naval enguagments. It will be a high tech-simi high tech-low tech venture with the U.S. having the advangate of knowing whats wrong with its junk due to Iraq. Then the draft, then whichever country controls the oil wins, blah, blah, blah.

As, likely, the world's going to join together to destroy the United States, I would stay conventional and say nuclear weapons for countries and bio/chem weapons for rogue states and terrorist cells.

Well I think it may happen for various reasons:
Venezuela (where I live) has this president called chavez people have tried to take him off the power pacifically and he has manipulated the election system so he could win, He is allied with china and cuba (*gasp* its true) And has recently cut comercial relations with Colombia which is a US ally and he has taunted US and Colombia so many times now...He is going to transform this country into another cuba and he says "we just bought some new rifles for the army in case of war" IMO yeah right stupid what are you gonna do try to shoot the atomic bombs from the sky? I think he?s looking for a war and I dont think bush will take it anymore after all my president is a **** terrorist communist and has insulted bush the states and many other countries! So I say it could be possible but maybe not, maybe bush is mature enough to know this guy is just a stupid but hes been manipulating all so I think its time for a war against this guy....btw the things I just explained have happened in 3 months if I explained you all the things he has done in his presidency I would never stop posting.

Personally, I think that if World War 3 is to break out, it won't be a conventional war, and I'm not referring to the weapons used. Very likely, it's going to involve messy politics, rogue states, and terrorists. As for the weapons that will be used, I think that anything could be possible. Remember, there already are lasers that can shoot down planes. I think lightsabers-type weapons may already been invented by then, but I doubt that they will be used. Very likely, it's going to have nuclear bombs (or a derivative of some sort, such as a proton or hydrogen bomb), and biological weapons that can possibility change D.N.A. strands to actually "modify" the enemy biologically. Chemical weapons are possible, but I doubt that they will be used if there are such powerful weapons I mentioned above. "The force"-type weapons are also very possible, and we may be using them via a tool of some sort (I remember some Hong Kong science fiction movie predicting this). As for cloned soilders, it will likely be used, although such technology will probably only be utlilised by rogue states that have access to the technology.

Hello It's good to see a singaporean around this parts. I thought I was the last Pokemo fan and the oldest one in Singapore

Anyway, the movie was Quan Shen, Avenging fist. But something was wrong with the concept, using 100% of your brain will not led to death. Dolphins 100% but they live happy lives with us and with nature!

But 100% in human would acheive another dimension of conciousness, alertness, reflexes.
