Well I have been asked this question alot lately, but im not sure which one is the storngest though :P Hmmmm Dialga or Palkia?

Perosnallyu I am going for Plakia dunno just thinks it biggwer and better with its spacial rend altohugh roar of time is powerful as well im just getting sick of diagla and that move.

Overall, Palkia is more useful simply because it and Kyogre are pretty much Uber's greatest team in tandem; lead Kyogres have Palkia blasting off rain-boosted Surfs from 150 base SpA. (So do Kyogre's, I believe, but Kyogre's typing is in general far inferior to Palkia's.)

Just by themselves, though, Dialga would win through superior typing, and the fact that Palkia has no moves that can effectively combat Dialga.

Yeah, I'm going to stick with DonRoyale, a Palkia is from what I've heard more useful than a Dialga in competitive battling, however in a battle between Dialga and Palkia, Dialga would win due to their moves and types. I voted Palkia though.

Palkia cause it's cool <3. although it would lose in a fight with Dialga

Sorry to spoil your fun (keep debating) but Palkias base stats are 22/30 compared to Dialgas 21/30 overall. So Palkia :P
Dialga pwns when they go against each other though :o

Ok, me and my friend tested this once. I had Dialga, she had Palkia. They both had equal stats, werent holding items, and were both the same level.

    I won with Dialga.

Maybe its just the strategies we used, but according to my theory, this is the answer.

    Dialga owns Palkia.

I chose the 4th option. I really dont care for them and really, there are other legendaries way better than them. I mean Dialga? It looks like some starved dog and Pakia? It is a pink dino for crying out loud. Plus their stats arent THAT great.

So yeah that is why I chose hte 4th option. I really don't care about Dialga and Palkia

Palkia's stats are better if I remember correctly.

Umm, idk where you got that, but they both have base stat totals of 680, meaning they have the exact same overall stats. :|

It is not a matter of whose overall stats are better, anyway. Why do you think nobody bothers to use Deoxys-f?

Regardless, a combination of a slightly superior movepool, a better STAB, more speed, and more tangability with other Pokemon make Palkia superior.

I got it from 'Pokemon Diamond and Pearl - The Official Guide.'

    Lol xD

Well, there's nothing I can add on to this post. I agree.

Alright well if we are going by competitive battling Palkia... If we go by the anime and such I feel like Dialga would tear Palkia a new one if they could just go at it the whole time.

palkia is my all time fav pokemon and its stats are a lil bit higer then dialga and it has less weakness so palkia is the coolest even thogh it will get its but kicked if dialga use roar of time :(

As a former Palkia lover when I used to have Pokemon Pearl and a former Dialga lover when I used to have Pokemon Diamond, I would say that they have their own weaknesses and strengths, so I say their evenly matched.

Dialga, since Palkia can't effectively combat it. But personally, I prefer Giratina. But this isn't the thread for that. I vote Dialga.

    Equal for me.
But they both could do better than shoothing beams and slashing (like stop time or black holes or something).

Their stats aren't that great compared to what? Arceus? ):<
Jeez, 100/100/100 defences are looked upon as sturdy. 100/120/100 and 90/100/120 saying anything to you? D: Also, the only thingies that have a higher special attack than them are Deoxys-A and Mewtwo. -.-

If your talking about Dialga and Palkia, in a battle against each-other, Dialga wins all the way not only cannon-wise ("I'ma gonna freeze u in tiemz & beet u up & thers nothin u can do about it!"), competitive wise, Dialga wins the majority of the time, though only if they're sent out at the same time. Otherwise, Palkia has the better move-pool (Dialga's Roar Time does less damage in the turn strikes, and the turn it needs to recharge then Palkia's Spacial Rend does in those same two turns. Unless Palkia misses or something in one of those two turns, or has to KO something that would otherwise one-shot it in the second turn used to use Spacial Rend again, but that's too small to really mean much...)
