3rd Gen What pokemon shall i use?

I want to do a solo run but im stuck on who is good to use please give me ideas on who to pick USING SPAHIRE/EMERALD

It depends, if your doing an emulator and can cheat to get the pokemon, I'd say Try Voltorb to Electrode, but if you can't just try something you can get at the start of the game

yes im using emulator i dunno whether i will use voltorb (i dont really like it)
