What sleeves are the best make?

Hey there, I've been a collector of Pokemon cards for a long time, but I recently got back into it with a massive wave of nostalgia and mild OCD, and realised my old A4 sleeves are looking a little worse for wear.

I was going to buy some new ones, but I just wanted to know which were the best quality, and which ones people would recommend.

So, what type do you use? Are they a particular make or just simple plain sleeves?

Ultra Pro is usually good, but anything that is acid-free will be fine as long as they spend most of their time sitting in a binder, away from exposure. Basically, the more expensive the sleeve the better quality it is, with less acidic elements, stronger plastic, UV protection, etc. They advertise these things on the package. Cheap ones may do it for a while, but long-term they might fail to protect the cards.

EDIT: I just realized you might mean individual sleeves, not pages. If that's the case, my favorite sleeves are Dragon Shields; they even protect the cards from wear when I play with them, though for long-term I would store them in the binder pages.

I use Ultra Pro platinum sleeves and binder pages to store my collection. I put the card in the sleeve upside down, then in the binder right way up - it stops dust getting at the card.
