What's a good electric-type?

    Okay, so I just beat the Elite Four and I am on my way to Kanto. My party so far is Feraligatr, Scyther, Growlithe, and Dragonair. I am positive that I want Tyranitar and also positive that I want an electric-type. But which one? I want to be able to catch it in-game (I have Heart Gold).

    jolteon
    zapdos
    and raikou

    they are the best you can get

    jolteon is a speed freak
     
    The most popular electric type in Johto is Ampharos, nice stats (SP. Attack especially), great movepool and you can get a Mareep very early in-game, that's your best option IMO.
     
    Are you playing G/S/C or HG/SS?

    Anyway, Jolteon or Ampharos would be good for reasons stated above. If HG/SS, you can go with Electivire.
