What is happiness in pokemon diamond and pearl? How can you make a pokemon happy to evolve, for example eevee.

in hearthome city, next to the pokemart theres a poffin house, you just go in talk to the lady and choose a berry to make a poffin out of. Also there's a bell or something that if you give it to the pokemon, it's happiness will go up faster...can't remember the name though.

yes, the sooth bell, I'm sitting here thinking Shell Bell, and I know that's not it. haha

The Soothe Bell can be found in the Pokémon Mansion, south of Hearthome. Although I forgot if someone in the mansion gives it to you, or if it's just lying around.

you can also ride around with ur bike
every 256 steps your pokemon's happiness will increase by 1

and there are also 6 berries that increase their happiness but will lower any earned ev's by 10 points
they're berries #20-26 i think, or something like that

Or u can give it vitamins like Carbos, Zinc, Iron all those kinds.
And u can give it ribbons from the Ribbon Lady in Sunyshore City.
