When making a layout....

I made a layout (simple table one). And then, when i went to put my content in it, when the text came to the end of the line, it continued instead of going onto the next line. Help please.... i dunno if it was the write one, but i tried <br> <br> and it didnt work so now what do i do?

Well i cant, but ill try to explain again.

I made a table (lets say 500 x 500).

Then i put the text into the table, but when the text gets to the end of that line, instead of moving onto the next line, it continues on and makes the tabel bigger (so its about 600 x 500. XD
