What do you consider to be the end of a Pokemon game?

    Spoiler:

In my opinion, finishing an entire Pokemon game would mean being an absolute completionist; National Dex complete, League completed, a full in-game team of level 100s, and every trainer battled at least once. In games where there is a Battle Frontier (Emerald and the 4th Gen games) I think the player should get all Gold Symbols for the game to be considered "complete".

I'm gonna be lame and say whenever I beat the Champion. A lot of times unless there is story to go along with it, I don't bother catching the Legendary Pokemon, I play competitively so I like the feeling of knowing that If I want to go back and try to catch them at decent IVs I can do so without restarting the game.

Personally I agree with what Lunalie said. I don't often go for completing a game 100% as I easily get bored of them once I've finished the main story. The only game I remember ever doing that with was A Link Between Worlds, actually.

If I were a completionist, however, I'd say that the end of a Pokemon game would be fulfilling the National Pokedex! That's a challenge in itself, definitely. Of course that means defeating the League and catching all the legendaries, but that goes without saying.

I usually consider the main story the end of the game. Likely due to me not being a true perfectionist when it comes to games as far as I'm concerned.
