Which do you prefer?

When it comes to music, do you prefer the Insrumental (all music - meaning it has lyrics, but they aren't heard, or it is all music to begin with) or the song itself (Lyrics and music) ?

I prefer instrumental music above all cause I tend to ignore the lyrics...

(and I HAD to do that 4th option just once...couldn't resist!)

I like both because instrumentals are soothing but sometimes incredibly intense like some of the StaWars songs. And I like regular music too but sometimes the Lyrics tend to bore me.

Well my favorite song is an instrumental. Tha Call Of Ktulu by Metallica. And it's an original song. So... Mixed, I guess?

It really depends. Many songs have great instrumentals but crappy lyrics, so I tend to listen to the former most often. Occasionally, I listen to both, but only if the lyrics aren't crap.

I like a mix of both. Lyrics and the music are both good to me. :0 Though I don't think I've heard many instrumentals of songs.

But songs with no lyrics at all are instrumentals also. So it's still pretty confusing XD

I just want the plain old song, or like a demo or alt recording of the song. Cuase I am like a sing-a-holic in my room and in my car XD My parents get annoyed by it XD

It would depend.

Take "Ultraviolet" for example. I dissect it...

I analyze the poetry of the lyrics, I feel the texture of the guitar riffs, I get mesmerized by the bass lines, and I try to tie it all up with the drums...

All in all, a song is a song. I eat the whole package.
