Who do you think would have won if the fight continued?

if Ash did not stop Mew and Mewtwo's fight in the first movie who do you think would have eventually won?

i say Mew, it obvisiouly has more experience and knows every attack

neither, the whole point of the movie was that the fighting caused by Mewtwo would only create Chaos and confusion. Ash being turned to stone smacked mewtwo into realizing that setting up a rebellion against human beings would hurt completly innocent people. If Ash didn't do anything to stop the fight, even if Mewtwo lost, Mew would never have the heart to finish him off.

While Mewtwo is left wallowing in his own hatred and self-pity, he will try and create more clones and would start attacking again in a form of revenge. (which actually tried to do anyways, but Mew would give him more incentive.)

I would say Mewtwo only because I don't know much about Mew. Also because Mewtwo is bigger and seems more powerful.

It would've been like Rocky. Mew would've won, but only after nearly losing. After being floored, the Pokemon and humans would all start cheering for him/her. Mew would then get up and beat MewTwo almost immediately with a bum rush of attacks.

You know now that I think about it, I'm surprised nobody's done a Pokemon fic in the style of Rocky yet.

Mewtwo because he was made to be the ultimate life form and a better version of mew. Mew would of came close though because Mewtwo's anger and rage would've led him to be more vulnarable.

I like Mew, but in the topic that goes here, I'd say Mewtwo would have won. Why?

He's a clone, and before he was born, the scientists made him stronger than Mew.
In the game, Mew learns every attack, but I never saw 'it' used those attacks in movies though.

Mewtwo would have won that match, no matter how long would take them to finish.

Mewtwo why? becuz he's considered the most powerful pokemon ever, besides Arceus, and has stats to back him up, along with a decent movepool. And don't give me that crap saying 'this is the anime, its different from the games!'
uh where do you think the anime comes from? the games, meaning the anime mewtwo is going to share the same traits as the mewtwo from the games as well as mew and his anime counterpart.

Mew's would have had time to evolve since the time that Fossil had formed, so they would have become stronger.

I think Mewtwo would win because Mew isn't that serious when it battled Mewtwo... Also, Mewtwo was built to be stronger than Mew... So Mewtwo would win. Though it may be possible for Mew to win if it got more serious in the battle.
