Who was your favourite Paldea gym leader?

I agree, Ryme is easily one of my favorite gym leaders. I loved her aesthetic and the fact it was a double battle.

My other favorites are Larry and Katy. Larry for the simple fact that he stands out. Among all of the many colorful characters in this franchise, Larry is a clear deviation not only with personality but also his design, I also (like Katy and unlike most other major battles in the game) felt actually challenged. And I just love Katy's whole design, the whole feel of Cortondo/the battling area, and that her gym was kinda challenging, for me at least. Her Teddiursa literally knocked out my Crocalor and Fletchinder. TWICE. I guess I should mention Bug and Normal are two of my favorite types (alongside Grass).

I have to say that Grusha was my favorite from this game. There was something cool with the story line and I'm a sucker for ice types. I'm also a big fan of the Pokemon that spawn around Glaseado, so I do a lot of shiny hunting up there, too.

I suppose purely aestheics, I'm gonna be basic and say Iono haha

I really like Ryme and her rapping and her Greavard, DJ G-Rave.

I also really like Brassius. I love his art pieces, and he looks a bit like Hubert from Fire Emblem: Three Houses, who I like a lot

My favourite was Kofu. His personality is friendly and major, and he sort of reminds me of the Sinnoh gym leader Crasher Wake, who is another one of my favourites.

Mine was Ryme. My first playthrough of Gen 9 was done in RP, and her personality mixed quite well with that of my character, which was quite welcome after many of the other leaders were either annoying for her, or just not people she took interest in. I personally liked her the most because she was the only way I got to reliably do double battles before the second DLC burned me out on them (and battling in general tbh) for a while lol.

Ryme was mine, hands down.
I was amazed that Scarlet/Violet introduced a middle-aged woman of color and gave her an occupation that is traditionally youth- and male-dominated.
That is not a character archetype I typically see in fiction, let alone Pokémon of all places.

I'm going to have to join the Ryme team here. She just stood out compared to the rest with her pokemon team and backstory. I'll be honest i kind wished they had used the teachers as some of the gym leaders.
