Why are most Hacks made on Ruby/Emerald/FireRed & not on LeafGreen/Sapphire?

Just curious to know why most Hacks are created on Ruby, Emerald & FireRed ROMs, & not on Sapphire or LeafGreen.

Also why don't many Tools (like Wichu's Advance Series) offer support for LeafGreen & Sapphire.

Because FireRed has everything Leafgreen has and it would just be time consuming to make a tool support Leafgreen as well.
Same goes for Emerald.

When it comes down to it, the slight differences in offsets make it a bit of an inconvenience for tool makers to figure out when a simple search can provide a lot of what they need already for the "main" games.
