Why doesn't my DeSumE emulator work with roms?

The last time I downloaded it, it worked pretty fine, but when I put my Pokemon Volt White rom(a hack of Pokemon White), it freezes and doesn't even play the game at ALL. I emptied my useless space, and that I redownloaded it 4 times, and it's still the same. Is there something wrong with my Disk Space or my emulator. I checked my rom, there's nothing wrong with it, its not corrupted. But why doesn't it work when I put Pokemon Volt White? Plus DeSumE is a Nintendo DS Emulator. Really I need help.

have you tried no$gba? i have both emulators, some games work on one and not the other.

Have you tried reading VW's useful cheats?
Maybe there's something to bypass this situation
The document is on the Documentation that came along the patch

Go to drayano;'s thread and get his ips. make sure you rip a copy of the EUR version of pokemon white to use as a base. in the patch notes it specifically say dont use the USA rom(it in the readme with the patcher)

IPS patches don't work on files larger than 16MB.

Well, Normatt, the head honcho of the Desmume project, specifically stated that he won't fix issues related to Pokemon games. I'd suggest looking at the settings. Or, try running it without the save file. Perhaps check to see if you're running the latest version. Other than that, I can't think of anything. Desmume can be a real pain at times.

I was thinking of patching it my own, by getting a White rom in the patch station.
