    My bro wants to restart one of my Diamonds and he wants all three Johto starters to use at the beginning of the game. I have all three, and this was my plan. He picks Piplup, goes up to the first town, catches 3 pokemon, trades them over for the johto eggs, hatches them, and continues. Will this work? Does he first need the national dex?
     
    I think it will work. just try it yourself, and hope for the best!
     
    It will work, they'll just appear as ??? number in the pokedex if i remember corerectly.
     
    Yeah Gofre, your right. They will have no number till you get the National Dex. Hope your brother enjoys them. :)
     
    Yeah, it worked for me, because I had to trade my Electabuzz and Rhydon to eveolve them. The game I traded them to didn't even beat the third Gym Leader.

    Please remember to not bypass the character limit by "filler". You could have added a bit more to make your post less spammy. And since this thread is pointless now, it doesn't need to stay open.
