This thread is to discuss the Wisconsin gubernatorial and legislative recall elections. Both the primary and general elections will be discussed here.

Discuss breaking developments, poll numbers, debates, campaign issues, and even who you are supporting.

I'm supporting Arthur Kohl-Riggs for Governor. He is a progressive liberty Republican running in the primary against neo-con Scott Walker. While I don't agree with all of his views, I still feel that he is a superior choice over the incumbent Walker.

I love how Walker's using his $15 Million USD or so from the Koch Brothers to make it look like he's actually done something except screw Wisconsin over.

This is what Walker is touting as his accomplishments for Wisconsin:

    Scott Walker said:
On January 3, 2011, Scott Walker was inaugurated as Wisconsin's 45th Governor.

Since that day, he has proposed bold reforms that have eliminated the state's $3.6 billion budget deficit without raising taxes and gave school districts and local governments the tools to balance their budgets without the massive layoffs seen in other states. To date, these profound changes are saving Wisconsin taxpayers over $765 million and counting.

Governor Walker also remains committed to helping Wisconsin's private sector create 250,000 jobs by 2015. In the annual survey of job creators, 88% said Wisconsin is headed in the right direction (vs 10% who said that in 2010).

To be fair, liberals can't complain about the Koch Brothers too much when they have George Soros.

Wisconsin is last in the nation in job growth during Walker's tenure. That fact says all you need to know about Walker.

Aside from Soros not being a major or even relevant political player in the US, George Soros doesn't invite Supreme Court Justices to partisan political functions on the eve of major campaign finance decisions that just happen to benefit large corporations like Koch Industries. Soros and the Koch Brothers are entirely different.

Walker even has an entire website dedicated to touting the greatness of his reforms.

The primaries are on Tuesday. I'm going to be calling WI Republicans to try and convince them to vote for Kohl-Riggs in the primary.
