I was thinking about what the greatest thing would be in the pokemon world if they made a fifth Generation. What do you think it would be? I think that they should make a super crazy super powerful evolution to the most under appreciated pokemon ever... Shuckle. I think it would be a really great suprize. But in evolution terms I dont mean like give it a lame yanmega thing. I meen like give it a crazy bug turtle dragon thing with wings and tusks and fire and all sorts of crazy things. Make it super intimidating or something. It would be really great.

For generation five, I hope they give elaborate details about the politics, economy, and religions of the Pokémon world. Also, in the anime, I hope Misty would return for forty episodes and leave.

It would be cool if they let you be other things than a pokemon trainer, like a pokemon breeder or other jobs like a Pokemon picture capturer. Those who take pictures could submit their photos to contests and people could vote on the best picture. The best picture would then appear on everyone's pokedex as the official picture for that pokemon.

i think it would be cool if they had actual players as the gyms leaders and elite four, and held tournaments for each position say.. every 3 months or so

Not necessarily. There are plenty of films marketed towards children that have complex underlying themes that only older viewers might pick up on, and there are some political aspects shown in the series as it is with the villainous teams and their desires to rule/destroy/whatever the Pokémon world. The manga takes these aspects and enunciates them to a greater degree. I'm sure delicate themes about such matters could be gently weaved into the game storyline; whether Nintendo would bother to do this is certainly up in the air.

I would prefer if they make the battles harder. Well, in Generation 4, I think that some trainers were difficult, but I also have a feeling that the game designers can do better than that.

Oh, and give the Vs. Seeker a higher rate of creating more rematches.

I don't know... I wouldn't find it boring at all because it will elucidate some details into the Pokémon world and make some nice trivia.

Now let me fantasize about Pokémon episodes where Richard Dawkins, PZ Myers, and Peter Singer make guest appearences.

Ugh I think the best thing that would happen to the Pokemon series at this point is for them to stop trying to top themselves with every subsequent generation. :I Just go back to basics for now~ We don't need an (another?) ultrasupermegaGod Pokemon. ;w;

The greatest thing would be that they included contemporary political analyzes into the 5th Generation where they split up the smallest of differences between each countries' political parties and how they've went on the offensive with their ideals and plans during each election. And if they won; how they managed to keep up with their promised solutions to the contemporary problems in healthcare, education, budget resolutions etc. and what the in-depth reason was that they were/weren't able to keep up with them.

No, you do not have to have detailed political discussions. You could just talk about how Pokémon Centers and some gyms are funded.

For instance, you could have a gym in the new region that recently had to appoint a new gym leader because the former leader embezzled money from grants to help run his gym (by paying the staff and making repairs; this would function like NIH and NSF grants for scientists to pay postdoc salaries and grad student stipends and research material) from the government in the Pokémon world. They could talk about how some gyms are funded (Gyms that are not backed by a profit generating enterprise such as Cerulean Gym [the performances from the three sisters], Celadon Gym [selling perfume], Goldenrod Gym [selling Miltank dairy products]) by high taxes (let's say 60%) from the government. How does Brock make money for his gym: he has to work as gym leader and take care of his siblings. He doesn't seem to have time for paid employment.

Pokemon is meant to be portable and bring people together. Nintendo aren't going to make a Pokemon mmo, atleast that's what they say for now, because of this. It's the same with consoles, it limits it. I wouldn't mind bigger regions and a more expansive story, as long as it remains portable. Pokemon is my favourite car trip game and I can't afford to get a TV and a Wii in any car :|
