my favorite is the g/s/c generation because they actually had the story planned out then and you know this because they showed ho oh in like the first ( or second) episode. After that its still good but theyre just milking the pokemon teat, u know what I mean?

first - raichu, articuno, dragonair, etc
second - sneasel, chinchou, cyndaquil, espeon, etc
third - banette, nuzleaf, etc
fourth - weavile, garchomp, etc

I can't choose. :(

then go R/B/Y so you can conform and be one of us cool kids! The first gen felt like they were real monsters, at first cute, but there were the uber powerful ones of rus homcidal 8 year old types!( I just loved life when I was 8)

The first three generations had good starters, but only a small number of competitives that I use were in the first. The second and third though, have the most competitive Pokémon I use (Skarmory, Swampert, Umbreon, etc.) The third generation isn't bad with Frosslass and Porygon-Z, but the third generation alone holds my favorite Pokémon of all! ;D

So my vote goes to the 3rd!

I always avoid saying this for any topic, but in this case it's true: "The classic will always be the best."

All the other generations are great, but emotionally I'm connected to R/B/Y the most. I was raised on that stuff.

Gold Silver Crystal generations had an annoying, funny and laughable rival, plus a good storyling. GSC generations were the only generation in which you could collect 16 badges and is the longest Pokemon games ever. The theme song for wild Pokemon changed if you progressed far enough in the game.

I personally like all of them, but my favorite would have to be...GSC.

You can get my top five favorites in GSC(Smeargle, Umbreon, Quilava, Ditto...ok, top four)

That and it has the awesome Silver in it. <3 (even if he is my rival...)

Although, I hate the level wild Pokemon are. It's hard to train. X.x I'm trying to train for the 7th gym and here's level 20 wild Pokemon! What the heck?!
