This is an rp about The International Fighting Academy :rambo: . Or basically, a high school that has many of the typical aspects of high school life, but on the side is training the world's next batch of top fighters. But these are fighters we all know and love/ hate (you choose which). Characters from Street Fighter, Tekken, Mortal Kombat, or any other fighting game you could think of are welcome :chinese: . Original characters are also welcome, but characters should preferably be from games.

Character Info should be formatted as follows:
Name and Game: (who are they and how do we know them)
Age and Grade: (only high schoolers! please no advanced youguns or creepy old guys who failed like a lot!)
Physical Description: (post a pic or refresh our memory. height, weight...)
Daily attire: (they aren't always wearing their battle garb are they?)
Personality: (how do you percieve your character?)
Type of Training: (Martial arts? weaponry? which weapon?)
    Likes: (duh...)
    Dislikes: (ditto)
In school activities: (drama? newspaper? cheerleading? track? curling?)
Out of school activities: (paper route? ballet? shaving canines?)
Unexpected quirk: (fear of clowns? Insatiable thirst for butter? Degrassi addict?)

Alrighty roo. Please join! :classic: You know you want to! Fer shure! By the by, please be nice and follow basic rules (and please :nervous: no aliens, magic, animal humanoids, etc).

    And here is my character!

Name and Game: Jin Kazama from the Tekkens
    Age and Grade: 17/ junior

Daily attire: Typical I don't care preppy boy look. Lots of wrinkled khakis and tight t-shirts. he loves to show off his body. flip flops a must...
Personality: Jin tries to be down to earth, but often lets his ego get the best of him. He's generally nice, but would gladly show you up in anything. He's not the brightest, but he's not too stupid.
Type of Training: Tries everything he can! Plans on winning the King of Iron Fists Tournament one day. ::heh heh:: Lately has been weapon training with a light weight spear.
Likes: popcorn, movies, girls, old cars, english, guitars, milkshakes, cartoons
Dislikes: soap operas, atm machines, oldies music, brainiacs, bowling

Out of school activities: works at the local pizza place 3 days a week.
Unexpected quirk: has pyromaniacal tendencies occasionally

    Well, that was fun...

  • Hmmm...this sounds like fun. May I use an original character?

    Name and Game: Cassidy
    Age and Grade: 16, Female
Physical Description: rather short, only standing a little over 5 feet, she has a small/normal build, but has muscle definition. She has short blond hair cut to a chin length bob with bangs, and piercing blue eyes.
Daily attire: cargo or other baggy pants, and solid colored shirts. She wears Converse sneakers of varying colors.
Personality: a loner, she doesn't take well to making friends quickly. She can be pretty cold most of the time, and keeps her emotions hidden from others.
Type of Training: Shotokan style karate, and has experience using a bo and numchaku
Likes: practicing her martial arts a lot, and is also a bassist for the school orchestra and jazz band. She enjoys listening to all kinds of music in her free time.
Dislikes: snobby popular people, and people who think that they are awesome, when they're just the same as everyone else. She despises people with egos and will steer clear of them.
In school activities: orchestra and jazz band.
Out of school activities: nothing really...her martial arts take up a lot of time!
    Unexpected quirk: She is emotionless.

  • <OOC>Alright, peeps. I don't know about you, but I say we get started!<OOC>

Hitomi ywaned an hauled herself up from the base of the tree. Glancing down at her watch, she looked somewhere between stunned and horrified. She'd slept straight through three classes. She'd only meant to miss Calculus. Breaking into a run, she hurried back to the school, diving into the Journalism class seconds before the bell rang.

  • Cassidy made her way through the halls of her school, avoiding the eyes of everyone. Her pace was brisk, and her eyes set on her goal: making it to Orchestra in time. Her acoutsic bass case leaned against her shoulder as she pushed it along. Students made way for her.

She set up quickly, rosening her bow, and playing a few warm-up exercises before she took her chair. Their conductor took the podium, and rehearsed a Mozart piece with them, one that Cassidy found rather dull. She did not care much for the dull bass parts of the Classical Era. She adored modern music more than anything. It offered her such liberty.

After Orchestra was finished, she headed back into the hall after packing up her bass. She wondered if she would ever meet people she was compatible with here...

OOC: Are we already members of this fighters' group, or have we yet to be invited?

[OOC] Wow. Sorry I didn't get to this earlier today. Alrighty. Well, yeah we're already at the IFA. I'm sorry I didn't tell much about it in the original post. Well, it's a private high school located in the northernmost part of Maine and is fairly small, with only about 200 students per grade. THe students that attend though are from around the world, as the IFA is the premiere fighting school of the world. Generally, students live there...

    [ic] ~*Jin Kazama*~

Jin walked quickly to the library. There was a big History test that he hadn't studied for and he had to cram hardcore during study hall. Why would he ever need to know the major militarial tactics of the 18th century? Ridiculous.

His pace quickened in the school. He didn't want to get distracted. As he sat down, he noticed something outside the window. 'Good job, Hitomi...' he thought to himself. School had just started for the day and she was aleady asleep in a tree.

Jin pulled out a notebook that had all of his notes for the test in it. 'Thank God for study halls...' he said under his breath.
"Mr. Kazama! Remember what we talked about!" The white haired old women peered at him through her thick rimmed red glasses. "Oh, uh, yes ma'am," he responded. "You aren't the only one here," Mrs. Johnson further lectured.
Jin looked around. About 5 other students sat throughout the massive library. Jin smiled at her and looked back at his notes. But what he thought was notes was not. "Oh dear Lord..." he let out. "JIN! That's enough!" spat Mrs. Johnson.

He stared down. What was supposed to be notes was not. Lyrics to the many songs that Jin had buzzing in his head were there instead. He had the wrong notebook. Next period he had journalism. Hopefully, there would be someone in that class who also had the test that day. Hopefully...

  • Staring around, Hitomi realized she was a period early. She had a study hall right now. Bowing out of the room, she returned to the tree and set her watch to wake her up an hour later.

  • Cassidy cursed something awful when she went to algebra II that morning. She hated math more than anything, and they had a quiz today, which she was sure she had failed. Grumbling, she left the classroom.

"I guess I have IFA to look foward to," she muttered, and went back to the music room for her study hall.

Though she was sure she could do some homework, the music director had allowed her to come in during her study hall to practice. Cassidy couldn't choose a favorite between martial arts and music. She adored both, and felt passionately for both, striving to be the best, and conquering each obstacle that faced her.

She rosened her bow and played a few warm up exercises, and proceeded to play parts from a bass concerto she was working on. Later, she worked on her bass solo for jazz band, and wrapped it all up with some stuff she had made up on her own.

Takeda-Sensei, her music director, as well as her personal trainer for IFA, commented on her improvement. She allowed a small smile to cross her face to show appreciation, and thanked him, before setting out once more into the halls for her next class.
