Hey guys!

I have been doing and looking into Pokemon cross stitch lately and since I have had more time on my hands (besides Christmas time now where my time is a bit more taken up) I have been planning more Pokemon Cross Stitching projects for leisure and commission! I make all my patterns myself from Pokemon sprites and I use Anchor Floss always!

I wanted to share my works with you guys here on the community and hear what you think of them! For all my other non-pokemon related cross-stitching you can find them at:

I like it! Believe it or not, I used to Cross-Stitch back when I was about 13 or so. I miss it sometimes, but I just don't have the time for it right now with me being in college and whatnot. Good job though, and keep 'em coming. :D

Thank you very much! Yeah I love to cross stitch and thought this would be a perfect idea for Christmas gifts! So I am making different ones for my whole family (not all Pokemon actually I think this is the only Pokemon haha) Although more Pokemon will be on the way! ^_^

Thank you very much! ^_^ Hopefully I will have more soon! Just have to finish my other Christmas gifts first! (Working on a Yoshi from Mario Kart right now)

Woah it is soo pretty!
This is a pretty unique form of art type here at PC so I recommend you keep it up and if not for PC, then for yourself.
Keep up the awesome work, I can't wait to see more Pokemon!

Thank you very much! ^_^ I didn't think it was going to be very unique on this community until I actually got here and went through the Art Gallery boards and found nothing at all similar. I will definitely be keeping it up and would love to share all my works with you guys here! Although my Christmas gifts do have to come first as I only have about 6 more days to get done like 5-6 more bigger projects. (Tinkerbell right now haha)

You can still take pictures of your non Pokemon, Christmas ones so you have more to show us here. The arts gallery isn't made specifically for Pokemon art so you can post your other cross stitching if you'd like.
I can't wait!

These are so good. ;;
They sure must take some time though.

Wow, nice work.

Hehe, it's so cool. I always love how it looks so pixel-y. x3

Ooo, artisan crafts! You don't see that much often around here. The rose is beautiful. I think my closest relation to cross stitching is plastic canvas; not sure if they're the same though. :D Keep going with the Pokémon works.

Ooh lovely new ad with the rose.
It looks so realistic and beautiful!
Good work, can't wait to see more!

Thank you so very much to everyone! ^_^

[email protected]: You should take up cross stitching for sure! It is a lot of fun but you need a lot of patience for it!

[email protected] (http://www.pokecommunity.com/member.php?u=106042): They do take up time but the amount all depends on how I am feeling and how my day went!

[email protected] (http://www.pokecommunity.com/member.php?u=54846): I always loved the pixelated look of cross stitching too! Tis why I usually only do full stitches because I think it looks neat!

[email protected] (http://www.pokecommunity.com/member.php?u=14204): I am glad that I am able to bring something more unique to this community! ^_^ If you are cross stitching on a plastic canvas then yes it is the same! Another kind of needlework on a plastic canvas would be probably more just close to cross stitching.

[email protected]: Hehe well hopefully I will have more either later tonight or early tomorrow morning! (http://www.pokecommunity.com/member.php?u=14204)

I have a question about cross stitching!
Do you like draw the picture on the canvas and then stitch over the top so you know what you are doing, or do you just copy an image and do it from scratch?

December 21st, 2008, 7:04 PM
[email protected]: When cross stitching you are copying a pattern from scratch. It's proper name is Counted cross stitch due to counting squares on the fabric to matching the pattern!

December 21st, 2008, 8:41 PM
Ooh ok that makes sense...
Would it be ok for beginners to draw the image on the canvas and stitch the squares under the image outline?

December 22nd, 2008, 8:45 AM
I can't see why not! ^_^

December 22nd, 2008, 2:40 PM
Well than I might need to try out this cross stitching for myself...
But knowing me, I won't get started. :)
