Scrap the Aggron USC(Which I never got round to :P) I'd like to try a Abra->Kadabra->Alakazam run on Soul Silver. One quick question though, can I use my starter to train him to lv.16+ on the sprout tower trainers as Abra doesn't learn any moves until level 16 after he evolves.
Yeah, if you're have a really weak Pokemon that either has no means of dealing damage (Abra, Ralts against Poochyenas in RSE, etc.) or your Pokemon just flat out sucks, you may use your starter to help them along. You can't use your starter for any important battles (no rival fights, Gym Leaders, etc), but you can train on Wild Pokemon/I guess trainers if you really wanted.

Diamond update #5, FINAL!!!

Started from Sunnyshore City:

Surfed to Victory Road.
Navigated it pretty easily. Had to use a couple Full Restores but nothing big.
Found the Dragon Pulse TM in there.
At the Pokemon League, I fought Barry for the last time with Fireheart.

Had to use a Full Restore because of Snorlax, but the rest went down easily.

Now it was time to face the Elite Four and Champion for the final time with Fireheart!

First up was Aaron, who specializes in Bug Pokemon.

Well, gee. Flamethrower was king here. Pretty much all were OHKO except Drapion. Almost all the damage here was from Flare Blitz.

Next up was Bertha with her Ground team.

I actually lost once due to Hippowdon's Stone Edge doing >50% to Fireheart, and the Sandstorm damage really was annoying. The second time around, I taught Fireheart Dragon Pulse (replaced Flare Blitz) so he would have a special attack that was neutral to her Rock Pokemon. After a Full Restore, Fireheart pulled it out in the end against Hippowdon with a Dragon Pulse and a Flamethrower for the 2HKO.

Flint was next with his Fire Pokemon.

This battle wasn't too dificult. I took damage, but didn't use an item here. The Sitrius Berry saved Fireheart in the end when I OHKOed Drifblim with Crunch, as the Aftermath almost killed me.

Lucian and his Psychic team was next.

Easy win here. Fireheart OHKOed all of Lucien's Pokemon except Medicham, who took a Crunch and a Flamethrower.

Now that I had defeated the Elite Four, only the Champion was next for Fireheart and I.

Champion Cynthia, with her well-rounded team was Fireheart's final opponent.

Lost once here to a critical Muddy Water from Gastrodon.
Here's what happened the second time:
Fireheart VS Spiritomb: Dragon Pulse, Dark Pulse, Flamethrower, Spiritomb fainted!
VS Gastrodon: Crunch, Sludge Bomb, Flamethrower, Sludge Bomb, Crunch, Gastrodon fainted!
VS Milotic: Crunch (critical hit!), Ice Beam (frozen solid), Full Restore (Fireheart), Full Restore (Milotic), Dragon Pulse, Ice Beam, Crunch, Mirror Coat (failed), Crunch, Milotic fainted!
VS Garchomp: Dragon Pulse, Earthquake, Dragon Pulse, Garchomp fainted!
VS Lucario: Flamethrower, Lucario fainted!
VS Roserade: Flamethrower, Roserade fainted!

So Fireheart was able to stand firm while injured and use Flamethrower twice for two OHKOs on Lucario and Roserade to win the game and the challenge!

Some final screenshots of the Hall of Fame, Fireheart's final stats, and my Trainer Card.

After defeating Brock I healed Zenny and headed off on the long Journey to Cerulean city. Defeating every trainer i came across with ease.
First thing i did in Cerulean city was heal Zenny at the local pokecentre then challenged misy.
A couple toxics and she was defeated.
I then went up Nugget Bridge and defeated My rival with ease, along with every trainer i came across.
I saved Bill from being a pokemon forever and scored a SS ticket.
I went straight to the SS Anne and challenged my rival once again. Winning with ease.
I got cut and taught it to my Cut slave (Sandshrew).
Challenged Lt Surge and won with a few Bubblebeams much to my surprise as i tought i was going to have trouble.
I discovered team rockets secret hide out challenged ad defeated them.

I'm gonna hack him in all games. Let's get started!

January 3rd, 2011, 1:44 PM
Well, congrats! here's how i'm going.

I'm in Mauville City, i skipped the second gyn cuz i kept losing, i'll go back when i'm stronger, i already cheated in a Trapinch because i couldn't get it before the first gym, it's been doing great, it's lvl29 now it has a timid nature,it's nickname is Ven and it is female.
May was a real pain in the ass! she had wailmer and shroomish to leave me crumbling and Combusken to finish me off! eventually i won by critical hitting Combusken with sand tomb, i tell ya my girl has a high critical hit ratio.
Anyway, i'm gonna keep going now.

January 3rd, 2011, 2:02 PM
Gonna start a Girafarig solo run soon on LeafGreen. It may be an Ultimate run if I like him enough.

Ok, started my game on LeafGreen.

Named self Gerry, rival Gack.
Picked Squirtle, named her Aquaslave.
After the Parcel quest, used an encounter code to catch a Girafarig at L5 just before Viridian Forest. I named her Palin, and she has a Sassy nature (+SpD, -Spe).
Eventually reached Pewter City, where I grinded Palin to L13, when she learned Confusion.

Geodude was a OHKO, Onix took 2 Confusions. Bam, match over.

Went through Mt. Moon, Palin destroying everything with Confusion. Palin learned Stomp and I taught her Thief and Secret Power as well.
Caught a Clefairy, a future Flash/Dig/Strength slave.
In Cerulean City, I met Gack.

Confusion = ownage. All OHKOs (damn Quick Attack kept it from a flawless victory).

Beat Nugget Road and got the SS Ticket from Bill.
Challenged the gym.

Palin OHKOed Staryu with Confusion, and Starmie was 2HKOed with Thief.

Went down south to Vermilion, where I traded a Spearow for Ch-Ding, a Farfetch'd who will be a Cut and Fly Slave
Boarded the ship SS Anne.
Dominated with Confusion - nothing new here.
Found Gack waiting for me at the Captian's cabin.

Got the flawless victory this time. OHKOs all around with Confusion.

Got Cut and taught it to Ch'Ding.
Entered the Vermilion Gym.

Palin's Confusion is still dominating. Raichu took 2 of 'em, though.

Caught 10 pokemon, then went through Diglett's Cave to get Flash.
Taught Flash to Clefairy, then went east from Cerulean to Rock Tunnel, where I saved.

Am currently in the middle of Rock Tunnel.

Team Gerry:
Palin the Sassy Girafarig, ♀ - L40
Ability: Early Bird
Moves: Confusion, Stomp, Secret Power, Thief
Clefairy the Quirky Clefairy, ♀ - L10
Slave Moves: Flash, Dig
Ch-Ding the Adamant Farfetch'd, ♂ - L10 @ Stick
Slave Moves: Cut
Aquaslave the Brave Squirtle, ♀ - L7
Slave Moves: None Yet

January 4th, 2011, 7:05 AM
Well, I've decided to do a run of Leaf Green with Koffing->Weezing, wanted to choose somethign I knew would give me a challenge as well as using a pokemon I've never done before. If I like him, maybe do an Ultimate too! So here we go:

-Chose Charmander, now known as 'Cut master', and defeated Red's Squirtle
-Went through Oak's parcel quest blah blah got Pokedex
-Wild Pokemon modifier to find wild Koffings, caught one named 'Noxious'
-Grinded in Viridian Forest to lvl 11, then decided to just go ahead and face the gym armed with Tackle, Poison Gas and Smog
-Beat the trainer, Noxious to lvl 12
-Managed to poison Brock's Geodude with Smog first round, only lost 6 health when it fainted due to MANY defense curls by geodude
-used poison gas, then kept hitting onix. Luckily Rock Tomb missed on the last turn leaving me victorious with 6 HP left!
-Battled through the trainers up tp Mt Moon, saved at Pokecenter in front

Dunno how to add screenshots yet, anyone can help me there?

Dunno how to add screenshots yet, anyone can help me there?
You need 15 posts first. Welcome to PC, mamo!

Another update on my Palin's (Girafarig) run of LeafGreen. I am flying through this game.

Mostly just screenshots this time. Started from Rock Tunnel.

After arriving in Lavender Town:

In Pokemon Tower. Palin learned Psybeam during the fight.

Forgot the screenshot for Giovanni in the TR Hideout. Palin learned Crunch in here.
Got the Pokeflute and woke up Snorlax on Silence Bridge, then headed to Fuschia. Taught Palin Return and Shock Wave.

http://img510.imageshack.us/img510/7992/sologack4.png http://img821.imageshack.us/img821/9756/sologiovanni2.png
Sliph Co. battles.

Taught Palin Thunderbolt around here I think.

Did the initial Sevii Island arc.

Final badge!

After re-battling some trainers on Kindle Road, this was MY final tune-up before Victory Road.

Am about to go through Victory Road and beat the Elite Four/Champion.

Team Gerry:
Palin the Sassy Girafarig, ♀ - L84 @ Leftovers
Ability: Early Bird
Moves: Psybeam, Return, Crunch, Thunderbolt
Aquaslave the Brave Wartortle, ♀ - L19
Slave Moves: Surf, Rock Smash
Clefairy the Quirky Clefable, ♀ - L14
Slave Moves: Flash, Dig, Strength, Softboiled
Ch-Ding the Adamant Farfetch'd, ♂ - L11 @ Stick
Slave Moves: Cut, Fly

January 4th, 2011, 1:26 PM
Ok, here's how i'm going:

Well, Ven's evolved to Vibrava now, made her hold an everstone and cheated in a mew to be my HM Slave.
she's about lvl 36 now, going good, my mew is lvl 16.
compeleted a pokemon contest cute normal rank, couldn't do super rank because i didn't have the right moves.
Currently in Meteor Falls just past the team aqua scene.
compeleted the third gym and went back to bust the hell out of the second gym too.

January 4th, 2011, 2:34 PM
I would like to start an Ultimate Solo run with Farfetch'd.

Also since Farfetch'd cannot be obtained in any game before the first gym, I will just hack it into every game, as soon as you can catch pokemon.

I will use Fire Red -> Heart Gold or Crystal (depends if I can get HG to work on emulator) -> Emerald -> Platinum

January 4th, 2011, 3:59 PM
Beat the Elite Four, then after doing the Sevii Islands arc, I beat them again. I was trying to get Palin to L100, but it didn't happen...ended up 389 exp points away from L99 lol.

Pics below!

I taught Palin Psychic before battling the Elite Four.

http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/4796/solohof1.png http://img543.imageshack.us/img543/3896/solohofchamp1.png

After catching 60 Pokemon to get the National Dex:

http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/2896/solorocket.png http://img638.imageshack.us/img638/5262/sologideon.png
Final Sevii battles.

Elite Four defeated!

Champion defeated! Had to use 2 Full Restores due to Tyranitar's Crunch and Sandstorm nullifying Leftovers. Ended with Alakazam, who fell to a single Crunch. Ended the run with 0 Thunderbolts and Psychics.
And the requisite ending screenshots:

http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/5461/solohofchamp2.png http://img34.imageshack.us/img34/7375/sololgstats.png http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/1291/sololgtrainercard.png

Team Gerry (Final):
Palin the Sassy Girafarig, ♀ - L98 @ Leftovers
Ability: Early Bird
Moves: Psychic, Return, Crunch, Thunderbolt
Aquaslave the Brave Wartortle, ♀ - L23
Slave Moves: Surf, Rock Smash, Waterfall
Clefairy the Quirky Clefable, ♀ - L14
Slave Moves: Flash, Dig, Strength, Softboiled
Ch'Ding the Adamant Farfetch'd, ♂ - L11 @ Stick
Slave Moves: Cut, Fly

I am gonna make this an Ultimate Solo Challenge. G,S, or C next.

January 4th, 2011, 6:21 PM
It has definitely been awhile guys. I got to play a lot on the drives we took during my vacation, and got another ten hours of play time in or so. I sorta lost my notes on what happened so I'll try to remember the most interesting parts.

I left off heading towards Hearthome. I polished off the Ghost Gym with ease thanks to Crunch. Next I headed towards Celestic Town and took care of Team Galatic.

Surfed to Canalave City, trained in the Iron Mine, and topped the Steel Gym. Btw you would think there would be plenty of steel types the trainers would use, but everyone has an Onix instead... pretty lame. Well Bryon fell a whole lot easier than his son did way back at the beginning.

Then I did the whole lake quest, beat the commander, headed off towards Snowpoint City to help my rival and beat the ice gym. Both were too easy. This isn't even a challenge anymore....

Destroyed Team Galactic in their headquarters, defeated Cyrus, who gave me a Master Ball 0.0? Well I'm about to head up Mt. Coronet and kill Dialga, who needs a legendary when you have a Drapion that wrecks the game?

Current Team:
Eve the Drapion
Level 62
Adamant Natured
Item: Poison Barb
Ability: Battle Armor
Attack: 154 Defense 163: Sp. Attack: 83 Sp. Defense: 119 Speed: 148
Movset: Crunch, Cross Poison, Earthquake, Ice Fang

-After doing all the beginning stuff, put in code to catch Farfetch'd in the wild, caught and named my partner Kendo.
-Grinded to level 10 before entering Viridian Forest, and then up to 15 before facing Brock.
-Defeated Brock
-Went through Mt. Moon, defeating every trainer.
-Defeated Green
-Defeated Nugget Bridge
-Helped Bill
-Defeated Misty
-Got CH'DING (the Farfetch'd you get from in game trade), gave the Stick to Kendo.
-Got a Bike Voucher, then went and got a Bicycle.
-Entered S.S. Anne.
-Defeated Green again.
-Got HM 01 Cut, taught to CH'DING
-Defeated all trainers in S.S. Anne
-Defeated Lt. Surge

CH'DING the Farfetch'd HM SLAVE
-Sand Attack

HM MASTER the Squirtle
-Tail Whip

I'm starting the ultimate challenge right about... now. My other challenge is getting BOOORING so I'll take that and this on and off.

I'll be going Leaf Green -> Shiny Gold (Hack approved by Myrrhman) -> Sapphire -> ????? (I'll figure this out when I get there)

My pokemon of choice? Kecleon!!! :D

Though I did seriously consider Shedinja. Think of how hard that would BE. But no, I'm going with Kecleon :)

And here goes my first update.

-Hacked Kecleon into being every pokemon found on route 1. (I dunno how to change starters lol)
-Renamed Hacked version Kecleon Green

-Bla bla talking, bla bla pokemon...
-Named myself XGTR. (Clan tag on Black ops. lol)
-Named Rival KOSH. (My friends clan tag. :D)
-Chose Squirtle (Possible HM ***** for later)
-Received Pokedex
-Caught Kecleon (Relaxed Nature, Color change - ability)

Alright! Next update will be my battle against Brock.

EDIT: Ok, took Brock down. I'm done for the night with this :P

My Pokemon:
Kecleon: Lv. 14
-Tail whip
- Faint attack
- Astonish
- Scratch

Brock's Pokemon:
Geodude: Lv. 12
Onix: Lv. 14

Brock: Bwahaha! All my Pokemon are rock hard, just like my... determination! Bwahaha!
Me: Dude, it is WAY to late for me to care about your... determination.

*Kecleon uses faint attack and takes out Geodude*

Me: Man, I used to think you were the hardest gym leader.
Brock: I am though.
Me: No, look how easily-
Brock: No - I am the HARDEST-

*Kecleon does to his Onix the same that he did to Geodude*

Me: Ok.. how about that badge.
Brock: I've hidden the badge on me. You have to find it.
Me: .... You know what, I don't think I want it anymore. I'm going to bed, it's late.
Brock: Yeah... you do that. ;)
Me: O.O On the other hand, staying up all night sounds good too!!!!
Brock: *Sigh* Just take the damn Boulderbadge.

*Boulderbadge received*

Leaf Green Solo with Weezing - COMPLETE!

Well, as the line above states, managed to beat the E4 and Champion Solo with Weezing. I can't upload any screenshots yet, need to do some more posts first, but I'll give you some details until then:

'Noxious' the bold, female Weezing
level 87
Thunderbolt, Sludge, Shadow Ball, Flamethrower

'Cut Master' the naughty, male Charizard (grinded against only wild pokemon/double battles so he could learn fly)
level 37
Flamethrower, Fly, Cut, Strength

'Surfin USA' the sassy, male Dratini
level 23
Surf, Thunder Wave, Twister, Dragon Rage

Okay, some quick details on the E4 battles:
Lorelei - Dewgong, Slowbro and Lapras to Thunderbolt; Cloyster and Jynx to Flamethrower
Bruno - Onix x2 and Hitmonchan to 2x Flamethrowers each; Himtonlee and Machamp to 2x Sludges each
Agatha - Gengar x2 and haunter to 1 Shadow Ball each, Golbat and Arbok to 1 Thunderbolt each
Lance - Gyarados and Aerodactyl to Thunderbolt; Dragonairs x2 to 2 Shadow Balls, Dragonite to 3x Shadow Balls
Red (Rival) - Pidgeot - Thunderbolt; Alakazam - Shadow Ball; Arcanine - 2x Thunderbolts; Exeggutor - Shadow Ball+Flamethrower; Rhydon - 2x Shadow Balls; Blastoise - 2x Thunderbolts

I think I'm going to have to not make this into an Ultimate, it was fun but would be too boring to do over 4 games, especially since Weezing's movepool is pretty limited in terms of solo play - Selfdestruct, Explosion and Destiny Bond don't really work well when you're trying to play by yourself XD Can anyone give me an idea for a pokemon that has a large enough movepool and stats in both special and physical attack to back it? And I don't want to do ones like Nidoking, I want to do something unique. I know it's a big ask, but it's kind of the reason I chose Weezing in the first place.

Anyway, that aside, could someone please add me to the list of winners for Leaf Green?

EDIT: I'm going to do another run, starting from Red, with Lickitung. Wish me luck!

UPDATE: Lucky the Lickitung and I are through the first 5 gyms with ease, lucky at about lvl 57 after 4 hours of sped up play. Moveset is Body Slam, Stomp, Thunderbolt and Bubblebeam, though the latter will be replaced with Surf in a moment. Lickitung is AWESOME!!!

January 5th, 2011, 4:10 AM

January 5th, 2011, 3:57 PM
I'm sorry to announce that I'm no longer going to be doing the whole story thing. I've lost pretty much all motivation/inspiration/desire to write it, and if I have none of that, then I can't write.

But I do have an update on my Nidoking Challenge. After sitting and gathering dust for a while (due to the game Okami, one of the best games ever), I picked it back up from after beating Roxanne.

-Recovered Devon Goods and saved Peeko
-Sailed to Dewford
-Utterly destroyed Brawly with Peck and got his badge
-Delivered the Letter to Steven

Starting a Scizor Ultimate Solo Challenge.
I started off with Fire Red:
-Started game and picked Squirtle as my starter for surf.
-Hacked game so that a wild Scizor would appear on Route 1.
-After 3 deaths and about 17 Poke Balls I caught my Scizor.
-Nicknamed him Edward(Edward Scissorhands reference)
-Trained to level 6 then stopped and went back to work on Soul Silver playthrough.

More to come tommorow

Hmm so it seems this will be my third Ultimate solo challenge I shall be embarking on(and no doubt completing), if you remember when I started my ultimate solo with Kabutops I was deciding over whether to use Kabutops or Nidoking, and as Wingman chose Nidoking(and the fact that we both did Metagross before) I chose Kabutops. But now I've decided to start my own Nidoking journey across all regions+Unova/isshu.

Anyway I'm just gonna say this challenge wont go as fast as others I did as 1 I have alot of other games to play so I will just be doing this when I have nothing else to do, so don't expect me to finish Kanto in a matter of hrs or anything :P. Also to anyone who has ever though of using Nidoran-Nidoking I have to say they have a very great moveset for early parts of the game, peck for grass, fire rival starters and double kick for brock, and some other great moves(not to mention poison point as the ability).

January 6th, 2011, 2:00 AM
My challenge is over :D

Go emulator at 555% speed :D

Well the league wasn't hard at all. For every single person I used Substitute first and then went attacking with the fitting move. Refreshing my Sub when needed and heal when needed.

I recorded my battle with the champion :D

Posting to say I beat Fire Red with Raticate.

January 6th, 2011, 3:28 AM
AND another solo run complete. Lucky the Lickitung swept the entire league without healing! Let's see, end team:

Lucky lvl 78
Body Slam, Earthquake, Surf and Thunderbolt

CutMaster the Charmander lvl 6
Scratch, Growl, Cut and Strength

Flyboy the Doduo lvl 21
Don't actually know its moveset apart from Fly XD

I think that I'll do this as an ultimate, so onto Silver version for me! Btw, that was completed on Red, and I'll be doing Ruby and then Platinum after. Do I get listed as a winner of Red Solo with Lickitung, or does that only happen at the very end after all 4 regions? And if whoever is the organiser for this thread wouldn't mind, could i be added to the list of winners for Leaf Green with Weezing? Thanks

Well, i think i might finish the game today, or atleast this month... i think.

Did i mention i beat Winona? yeah no sweat! Tate and Liz weren't too much of a problem either, it was a double battle so i needed a HM slave in there too, buncha revives and hyper potions did the trick.
afterwards i headed for the team aqua problem, got to Kyogre and beat archie again of course, Archie realizes what a horrible mistake he's made and walks away, tralala, i go to Sootopolis, go in the cave of...can't remember it's name, battled Kyogre, captured it for a trade to another game, named it Nepo, Nepo being the greek (i think) word for water.
Battled Wallace, he was a real problem considering Ven's type but after teaching Ven Earthquake i beat Seleo 1HKO And the other water types 2HKO.
On my way to the big leagues and Victory road, Ven about lvl54 or so.

Completed Challenge!!!!

Um, i don't see myself in the Champions section, would someone mind putting me there please?
Edit: oh wow, i bred my Ven with a nincada and the egg hatched shiny! shiny Trapinch called Leo!
This place really needs to be updated! not only me, but my sister just joined and we are not even on the list of challengers list, and not just that, i saw that the ultimate fail has finished his rattata solo run on pokemon firered, yet he is still in the kanto ultimate solo runners list! i think someone else should make an updated list, and if no one will step up to make this list, it will be me!

January 7th, 2011, 2:32 PM
Hey, sign me up for a Heart Gold solo challenge using the Totodile family.

After I finally got Professor Oak to wake up, he proceeded to quiz me about myself. I can only assume we're conversing via email, otherwise he would know I'm a girl and wouldn't have to ask me. Anyway, my name is Zhinc, and I'm off to...do...something. I dunno what yet.

I head downstairs and have a chat with my mother, in which she mentions that both Ethan and Professor Elm are looking for me. Well, the Professor sounds a bit more interesting, so I'll go see him first. Except that Ethan is RIGHT OUTSIDE MY DOOR with his Marill. They then run off as I head over to the lab. Elm asks me to help out with his studies, which seems pretty awesome, and asks me to choose a Pokemon to head off with to Mr. Pokemon's house just north of Cherrygrove. Since I think they're absolutely wonderful, I choose a Totodile and name him Champ because it's short for Champion and it kinda sounds like chomp (which would hurt if he did that to anyone).

So after wandering around and battling everything in sight, Champ and I make it to Cherrygrove, where an old man decides to give us a quick tour of the small town, after which he gives me a pair of running shoes. I heal up and make to head north, but the old man stops me to give me a map card for my Pokegear. I suppose that might come in handy...

Heading north, I spot a house next to a strange looking tree. Assuming it's Mr. Pokemon's, I enter. It is not his house however, and I politely accept some sort of Apricorn carrying case from the man who lives there. I leave and continue north where I run into a fork in the road. The left fork seems to be blocked, so I take the right fork, at the end of which is another house with a tree next to it. I examine the tree and get the apricorn before heading inside and meeting Mr. Pokemon.

Mr. Pokemon excitedly greets me before handing over a 'mysterious' egg. Really? Mysterious? Shouldn't we have already figured out how Pokemon reproduce by now? I mean...we've only been living on the same planet for millenia, right? Anyway, I also get to meet Professor Oak live and in person. He decides to recruit me for his research, too, and gives me a Pokedex, which is pretty awesome. He then leaves for Goldenrod shortly before I too leave Mr. Pokemon's.

Just outside, I get a call from Professor Elm, who is ALL frantic and asks that I return to him immediately. As I'm about to head east from Cherrygrove, a strange-looking young man approaches me and insults me for being a waste of space or something like that. Of course, I challenge him and his stupid little Chikorita to a fight, which I win quite easily. He runs off, but not before I see his name on his trainer card (who's the idiot that gave him one of those?): Chris.

Dashing back to Elm's, I'm told a Pokemon was stolen, which I assume to be that Chikorita I just battled...Ethan bursts in to back me up and I leave the kid's name with the police. Now that the police are gone, I'm able to hand off the egg, which somehow takes Elm by surprise. Again: REALLY?! Anyway, he says I should visit mom before I leave town, and she agrees to save some money for me from my battles (how is she getting the money?). I head out and am met by Ethan, who shows me how to catch a Pokemon, which is a rather boring, drawn-out affair. I then go and catch a bunch of them just to show him I know what I'm doing and...well, because I can.

The left fork north of Cherrygrove is finally open! There, I meet to Youngsters who are keen on battling me, and Champ proceeds to thrash them into a million little pieces. Similar events occured with every other trainer on the route. I love my baby. (:

I'm finally in Violet City! After exploring a few routes around the city, picking up a couple more Pokemon and an HM, I decide to check out the Sprout Tower, which will probably spell trouble for my little water-type. But we'll see soon enough.

Well, I'm glad to be back after a lack of a laptop for a month, and then no internet for a LONG time. I will update sometimes, not super often, but quite a lot.
After clearing up my laptop, I accidentally erased my diamond part of Blast's solo run, so I will be starting it again. I will very likely update again today.

EDIT: I have obtained the first gym badge from Roark, which was easy thanks to Dragon Rage, and I may update later today, if I'm not feeling too lazy.

Just be patient and wait for myrrhman to update it, he usually does it at least every other week. Don't worry so much about being in the list right away, it eventually gets done.

Reminder. I, 649, am also dragon0fangz.

Anyways, I decided to reload My Zigzagoon Solo challenge. (change my name as well).
I finally beat Roxanne after what seems like hours of grinding, Z was lv 20. Z and Nosepass had an extremely long stallfest, caused by my Sand attacking him 6 times, then I kept Tail Whipping him, while he hardened. Sometimes, he tried to use rock throw, but it would always miss. Then Tail whip ran out of pp, and I kept Headbutting and Tackling. After what seems like forever, he was taken down. Finally!

January 8th, 2011, 1:47 AM
I have just defeated Gardenia, with a very late screenie, but I still managed to take one.

January 8th, 2011, 3:58 AM
AND my Lickitung solo run on Silver is complete! Now, does anyone know the minimum number of posts for one to put up screenshots? I don't think I'm there yet, but when I get there I will edit this post with those pictures. Anyway, a few details:

Lucky the male Lickitung @ Leftovers
level 77
Strength, Thunder punch, Ice punch and Earthquake (Fire punch until Vermillion City)

HM the Farfetch'd
level 16
Cut, Fly, Thief, Sand Attack

HMs II the Chinchou
level 20
Whirlpool, Waterfall, Flash and Surf

Snorlax (not nicknamed)
Caught because Strength and then thunderpunch paralysed it and had it down to 2 HP, threw a poke ball and it got caught first time XD

Well, going to wait until tomorrow before starting my run on Ruby version, but Lucky is AWESOME!!!!!

January 8th, 2011, 5:22 AM
Mamoswimeftw, you need to have at least 15 posts to be able to post screenshots, and also nice work on the completion of your silver run.

January 8th, 2011, 7:44 AM

...Ok, but i've seen mhyrrman (sorry cant spell) online a buncha times yet he still hasn't gotten around to updating this place, it's like he forgot or something!

January 8th, 2011, 8:35 AM
I'm having some problem with bringing an Remoraid in that can evolve. So i'm changing. I'm not gonna play an Octillery Ultimate Solo.

Change it to an Remoraid Ultimate solo run. (oh god)
I will update when i beated Erika.

January 8th, 2011, 9:11 AM
Wow. So, I'm not doing a long, drawn out log like before, mostly because I got WAY too much done last night. I'm currently...where am I? Oh, yes, I'm ready to head on into the Lighthouse, after I level up a Magikarp I just caught so I can have an awesome HM slave. Which means...I cleared the Sprout Tower, the Violet Gym, Union Cave, the Rockets in the Well, Azelea Gym, the Forest, Goldenrod Gym, and Mahogany Gym. Oh, and like 42564734 battles with my rival Chris? Well, maybe not that many, but it seemed like a lot. And I do love his battle music (I think I should make it my ringtone?).

Anywho, Champ has obviously evolved twice into Feraligatr over the course of...well, everything, and it now at level 37 or 38 (I can't remember which). He knows Headbutt, Ice Fang, Water Gun, and Crunch, two of which I'm planning on keeping in his final moveset. I just need to replace Water Gun with Waterfall and Headbutt with...either Super Power or Earthquake, I'm not sure which...probably Earthquake, because those electrics are already a pain in the rear, esepcially the ones with the ability Static. Although...Super Power would put a lot of Pokemon out of their misery a lot quicker than 5984796 Crunches...=/

Ok well I got really into the game this morning, and from right after Lt. Surge I made it all the way to the E4 and finished my challenge!

Champion Hall of Fame Registration:

Kendo's final Kanto Stats and Moveset:

Trainer Card:

Sorry for not updating with everything I did, didn't feel like typing all that this morning and then I had to leave right before I did the E4 so just now finished. I will begin my Heart Gold Adventure either later today or tomorrow!

January 8th, 2011, 11:27 AM
Completely blazing through the game right now. I had a hard time with all the gym leaders, having to rely on Tail Whip most of the time, until I learned Belly Drum. I never knew how useful that move could be. Just Belly Drum, heal, and you're good to go. Wow!
I recently owned my dad. Belly Drum + Dig = Win.

Update Time!

Made it out of Mt. Moon (Without Flash)
Battled a few of the trainers around Mt. Moon and reached Lavander town and healed Rapidash
Exited Lavander town and headed West towards Celadon City, battled a few trainers on the way and did abit of grinding and Rapidash grew a couple of levels
Reached Celadon City and explored, entered the Game Corner and battled the Team Rocket Member, entered the hideout, got a few items, battled all the Rockets, battled the leader Giovanni & cleared out the hideout and got the Silph CO. from Giovanni
After alot of batteling, healed Rapidash and went to take on Erika at the Celadon City Gym with Rapidash & HM slave (cut) Charmander
Entered the Celadon City Gym, battled all the trainers in the Gym and gained a couple of Levels, had no problem considering Rapidash is fire type and this gym was grass type
Healed up Rapidash (again) and took on Erika, I was about 20 levels above and had the advantage of type so this was the easiest gym so far, all 4 Pokémon 1 Hit K.Oed and defeated Erika within seconds!

January 8th, 2011, 5:22 PM
Well, I have just started a Scyther solo run on Soulsilver. I know, it seems easy. Because Scyther is ridiculously good in Soulsilver, I have set certain restrictions on myself.

-No healing outside or inside of battle unless it's at a Pokemon Center
-No using TMs on Scyther. Using HMs on HM slaves are acceptable, however.
-Only Scyther can be used in battle. Period. If Scyther faints, I'll just start out from my last save point.

So, this isn't quite a normal solo run. After this I will be do other ones with the same rules (Abomomasnow solo run, anyone?). Anyways, I have started.

After going through all the boring starting info, I hacked a Scyther into my game, who I named Buzzkill. The Totodile I chose at Elm's lab would be a Surf/Waterfall slave. I grinded Buzzkill up to Level 10, at which point a went to Mr.Pokemon's house, took the egg, and recived my Pokedex. Along the way, I ran into someone who I did not know. His Chikorita was brought down by two powerful Quick Attacks.
At the lab, I reported to the police officer that the red haired boy's name was Chris (After my brother, who the rival reminds me of). Then, I travelled on to Violet City. The trainers on Route 30 and 31 were no match for Buzzkill's attacks. I grinded up a bit, at which point I went on to the Sprout Tower. Bellsprout and Hoothoot? No problem. Buzzkill took 'em all out.
As you obviously expect, the next thing to do was challenge the gym. I quickly healed at the Pokemon Center before rushing on to the gym. Soon...

Gym Battle!
Falker was no problem, unlike I suspected. Pidgey was taken down in seconds. It took 3 blows to take Pidgeotto down, but it did minimal damage with it's Gust.

Afterward, I ran off to the Pokemart to grab the Pokemon Egg, which will certainly never get past Togepi.

Solo Runner after Falkner:

January 8th, 2011, 5:25 PM
Hey I wanna join in on this challenge but I don't know what Pokemon to use. I play Sapphire and I can't do hacks and trades. Can anyone suggest a good pokemon I could find early in the game that I could use althroughout? No starters though, that seems too... plain.

January 8th, 2011, 5:44 PM
@Kebs It might be difficult, but maybe Gardevoir? She has a good Special Attack stat and a good movepool.

January 8th, 2011, 7:57 PM
I will join in Platinum with 3 pokemon, Gliscor Roserade & Bronzong.
I wil do Bronzong first.

January 8th, 2011, 10:06 PM
I caught a Slakoth just now and I'm thinking of keeping this one instead of the Ralts (but thanks for the tip, Gardevoir seems like a good idea too). Though I'm wondering, should i evolve it to a Slaking or maintain it as a Vigoroth? I mean, Slaking gets a Truant ability so it'd loaf around every two turns or so but it has higher stats (i think?) so I'm unsure of what to do with him.

January 8th, 2011, 11:07 PM
AND ANOTHER!!!!!!!!!

As the above line says, Lucky the Lickitung has indeed succeeded once more, this time in the Hoenn Region. I have 4 more posts I believe before screenshots can be uploaded, but will do so when I can. Will upload the stats and what not then as well, but for an overview:

Lucky the male Lickitung @ Sitrus Berry
level 77 (I think)
Sidney: Thunderbolt, Flamethrower, Stomp and Earthquake
Phoebe: swapped stomp for Shadow Ball
Glacia: No change, but had to use Groudon to get rid of Hail/revive Lucky
Drake: swapped Shadow Ball for Ice Beam, one beam took out each of his pokemon
Steven: MUCH harder battle. Had to switch between Groudon, Wingull and Marshtomp to revive/heal Lucky twice and restore his PP with an elixer. They did not use any attacks.

Groudon level 45, dont know it's movepool
HMs the Marshtomp, Dive, Waterfall, Strength, Rock Smash
Wingull, Fly and don't know the other 3 moves

Well, need to be starting Platinum I guess. Almost there, and the screenshots will be coming up soon. I'll try and comment on some of the other people's logs just to rack up the post count. hope everyone is having fun with this challenge. Out of curiosity, does anyone think I should evolve Lickitung into Lickilicky in this game? Or would it cause the challenge to become void? I don't really mind either way, but Lickilicky has better stats.

January 9th, 2011, 3:36 AM
Actually cancel the Abra->Kadabra->Alakazam run. I'll do a on Slowpoke->Slowbro run on Leaf Green. After I've finished I might carry on to a ultimate but I'm not sure now.

EDIT: I've started. Named myself Daichi and Rival Gary. I modded the starter so I got a Slowpoke instead of Bulbasaur and named him Solobro. Charmander was easy after a couple of curses. Followed the story. Got a pokedex. Faced Brock.

Vs. Geodude.
I used curse 6 times and my tackle Still did minimal damage.(maybe because he kept using defence curl). He finally got taken down by a tackle but after I use 3 or 4 potions. Then Solobro learnt water gun

Vs. Onix
Water gun. That was it.

Went through Mt. Moon and I'm outside Misty's Gym.

Ok here is my progress,
So i started off with the birch talk chose may blablabla name Lyra,I hacked in a oddish for starter because you dont find them before the first gym, anyway then i did the home stuff talked to rival i went to proff birch i got oddish for starter,I helped proff.birch then gave nickname to oddish:Bella: and off i go!
next i trained oddish to level 8 i went to defet my rival wich had a torchic,
I went back to proff.birch and he gave me the pokedex and pokeballs.
Then i went outside and mom gave me the running shoes,
Then i went trained oddish to level 11 then defeted all trainers,
Took all berries and whent to dads gym.
a guy shows me how to catch a pkmn and then i go out of the gym to the forest,
fight all the trainers gets to team plasma helps man from team plasma defets team plasma man gives me grat ball and leaves,
gets through forest and goes to town,
gets cut from man in house next to the pkmn center,Goes to gym from roxanne http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/d/d8/SpriteRoxanne.png (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/File:SpriteRoxanne.png)next i defeted the gym trainers and got to roxanne i had no trouble with this gym because absord was super effective i defeted the geodude first then almost nosepass because she used a potion or two!
then i defeted her and got the stone badge woohoo first badge!
Later i went to help the man that gave me a great ball earlier in the game i went through the grass and defeted all the trainers there are, then i got to the cave and saved piko the wingull from a team plasma.
i stoped because i hade to hack in a mew in the grass to learn cut and although oddish can learn cute its a waist of awsom moves!
so i hacked in a mew and caught it i nicknamed it :HM 1:
learned it cut and did all the cut extras.
then i wne back and got a great ball and that great ball guy brang me to the mayor or something of this town he gave me a pokenav and a letter for steven,
next i went back out the forest to the old mans home ask him for a ride to dewford and off we go by boat!!
now i healed my pkmn at the pkmn center and went to the gym i defeted the trainers but i had some trouble with meditates and one machop, anyway after that i got to the leader brawlyhttp://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/b/be/SpriteBrawly.png (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/File:SpriteBrawly.png) he was a piece of cake i defeted him on my first turn!,
then i got the knuckle badge and was ready to go and deliver the letter with my second badge woooooohhhhoooooo!,
so i defeted the water trainers but i hade a little trouble with those tentacools arrrrggg and i found an invisable pokeball and a stardust on the rock cool!
well anyway now that i enterd the cave there was a man he gave me the HM flash i taught it tomy mew :HM 1:
i kept going and found a ladder i went on it and then i went to the next floor but it was dark so i used :HM 1: to give me more light.
i kept going and there wqhere lots of pkmn like zubat, mawile, makuhita and arron,
keep keep keep keep walking untile there was another ladder i wne on that on too and there was another floor to explore so i kept walking and i found a step not a ladder i got higher and up another step there was a rock i clicked on it and i got a everstone but i done need that yet so i kept walking untile there was another ladder i went on it and thewre was another ladder next to it and i wnet on that one too!
then i came to the first floor but higher i found a cave place and whent in it.
there was steven!
i gave him the letter and i think the gave me a tm,
so i went out off the cave and healed my pkmn then there was nothing to to on dewford so i talked to the boat man but this time he offerd me to go where i was petalburg or a new place slateport,
now obvously i chose slatport.
When i arrived there there was a beach

M'kay, so, once again, I got pretty far in the game. Last time, I was about to tackle the Lighthouse. That proved to be very little trouble. Jasmine instructed me to go to the pharmacy in Cianwood, so I headed on over there. Spotting a gym, I of course had to battle it. Poliwrath was tough to take down and he really liked paralyzing/using hypnosis, but Champ and I pulled through. His wife then gave me the Fly HM, so I was able to shorten the trip back to Olivine. Jasmine returned to the gym and some guy called me to tell me the Safari Zone was now open.

So, I headed towards the Safari Zone, beating up all the trainers along the way. I did the first test of the guy's little owner test before flying to Olivine to beat up Jasmine. NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO USE MAGNEMITES ANYMORE. They, of course, proceeded to paralyze Champ several times, and I eventually ran out of full/paralyze heals. Eventually, her Steeliz was all that was left, so I used a max potion my mum had bought me and killed off Steelix with one hit from Water Gun (still really waiting for Waterfall...). I then went off to explore Mahogany Town; the gym was blocked by some oaf, so I went to explore Lake Rage. There, I found a Red Gyrados. Wait...red? I look at my Gyrados, then back at the red one, then back at mine. Something weird's going on here...I decide to let Champ finish him off rather than catch it. I surf back to solid land and meet some guy in a cape with a Dragonite, and all I can think is 'I want one!'. He says that something weird is up with radio signals or something, so we go investigate some shop in town. DANG, THAT GUY MEANS BUSINESS, HYPER BEAMING A PERSON AND ALL. It turns out Team Rocket is up to some new tricks. After thrashing some Rockets around, I run into Chris, who apparently got beaten to a pulp by this Lance guy. Lance's coolness just went up another ten points, as if the cape and the whole USING HYPER BEAM ON A FELLOW HUMAN didn't make him cool enough. A few more Rockets later and this hideout is disbanded. Oh, and the Gym is open. About time!

Gym summary: DEWGONG + AQUA RING = JUST ANNOYING, IT WON'T SAVE YOU FROM ARCEUS' JUDGEMENT OR ANYTHING, OR CHAMP'S CRUNCH FOR THAT MATTER. With the Glacier Badge in hand, I leave the gym to find the eighth and final gym, except that Elm calls me, saying the Rockets have taken over the Radio Tower in Goldenrod. REALLY?! COULD THEY DO THIS SOME OTHER TIME, PLEASE? I GOT A QUEST TO BE LEAGUE CHAMPION GOING ON HERE.

More Rocket thrashing...and I'm almost done eradicating the little pests. Just three more to go, I think, and then we should be rid of these pests forever. Oh, by the way, Champ is at level 53 or something now. He knows Thrash, Water Gun, Ice Fang, and Crunch.

More news on my Nidoking Solo Run.

-Journeyed up to the Weather Institute thing and beat team Magma out

-Arrived in Fortree
-Couldn't get to gym cause of retarded Kecleon so went to the next route
-Stole Received the Devon Scope from Steven and made the pesky Kecleon go away
-Butchered Winonna easily with Thunderbolt and her badge was mine

-Hit Lilycove quickly to heal, then followed them

-Received the other and was told to get it back
-Flew to Slateport, where Maxie mentioned going and saw him stealing the submarine
-Flew back to Lilycove and infiltrated their hideout (rather easily, because for some reason, every evil team in Pokémon just lets anyone enter their base)
-Was just a little too late to stop them from taking off AGAIN in the sub
-Surfed to Mossdeep and met up with Steven, who gave me HM08
-Fished up a Wailmer to become my Dive/Waterfall slave
-Took on Tate & her twin (lol I forgot the name) and spammed Surf with Titan while Mawile (cave slave) sat there crying (Fake Tears lol)
-Got lucky with Titan's great Sp. Defense stat and won their badge
-Set sail for the Underwater Cavern or whatever it's called

More on this later.

-Became Champion of Hoenn region; look out Sinnoh, you're next

January 9th, 2011, 2:36 PM
Kebs, teach it Skill Swap. That will swap it's ability for the opponents.

I never thought of that! Thank you, that's perfect!

January 9th, 2011, 4:04 PM
I'll do the solo challenge, I'm going to use my pokémon as Bulbasaur/Ivysaur/Venusaur and the game I'm doing it in is Red.

January 9th, 2011, 4:47 PM
Alright, quick update on my challenge before I forget about it completely (school starts back up tomorrow). I defeated the rest of the Rockets and flew back to Mahogany to take the trip to Blackthorn. I had fun attempting to figure out the Ice Path once more and emerged from the cave on the Blackthorn side. I then decided to go tackle the Blackthorn gym. Okay, seriously, I hate Gyrados. And smokescreen. ANYWAY, I beat up Clair eventually, only having to use one max potion during the battle. Of course, she's too full of pride, so now I have to go tackle the Dragon's Den. And this is where I left off.
Champ, Level 57
Hardy @ Shell Bell
Ice Fang, Thrash, Waterfall, Crunch

January 9th, 2011, 8:26 PM
Started the Platinum leg of the USC a few hours ago and here's my progress so far:

-Did the whole intro thing and hacked in a Nidoran-Whatever-the-male-sign-is
-Went through all the boring parts of the beginning of the game, beat rival, blah blah
-Received PokéDex and headed to Jubilife
-Got the Pokétch thing
-Beat rival again and headed to Oreburg
-Titan evolved into Nidorino
-Arrived there and went to the mine
-Met Roark
-Went to Gym and battled Roark; wasn't too tough thanks to Double Kick
-Traveled back to Jubilife and saved the Prof. from two Team Galactic freaks
-Journeyed north to Floaroma, then east to the Valley Windworks
-Beat the dude there, then beat his friends in the meadow
-Entered the Windworks and took out Mars, again thanks to Double Kick
-Went through the Eterna Forest
-Arrived in Eterna City and immediately entered the Gym
-Total PWNage thanks to Peck
-Entered the Galactic building and took down Jupiter
-Got a bike
-Got stuff from Dawn
-Saved at the entrance to Mt. Coronet

Now to catch a billion Cleffas to try to get a Moon Stone. Ugh.

January 9th, 2011, 8:51 PM
Now to catch a billion Cleffas to try to get a Moon Stone. Ugh.

Just get the Thief TM 46 from Eterna and use that. I'm pretty sure Nidorino can learn it and would make finding a Moon Stone (or any wild-hold item) a lot easier.

January 10th, 2011, 5:21 AM
Quick update: passed the Elder's test, got the Rising Badge, used the Masterball Elm just gave me on Ho-oh, beat up a few trainers I had missed, headed east into Kanto, saved at entrance of Victory Road. Champ is now at level 62! That's ridiculous! He was at level 63 when I played through my Silver version ten years ago, and that was, essentially, a solo run because little kids can be dumb sometimes. I'm so proud of my little Champ. (:

January 10th, 2011, 11:39 AM
Just get the Thief TM 46 from Eterna and use that. I'm pretty sure Nidorino can learn it and would make finding a Moon Stone (or any wild-hold item) a lot easier.

Huh. I forgot about that method. But it's too late now, I got it the other way. It wasn't that hard actually, I only had to catch three before I found one. Apparently a 5% chance is the same as a 33% chance. XP

-Went through Mt. Coronet and got the Moons Stone
-Arrived in Hearthome City
-Went to Contest Dome and found Fantina
-Entered her Gym
-Ended up teaching Titan Thief because he only had two moves that could affect Ghost types, and one of them was a Poison type move (talk about irony)
-Beat Fantina, though it took a little while due to FREAKIN' CONFUSE RAY and got her badge
-Beat my rival
-Went to Solaceon Town and got HM05 in the ruins
-Traveled all the way to Veilstone and met with Dawn
-Titan learned Poison Jab, then I evolved him, at which time he learned Earth Power
-Entered Maylene's Gym and took her down with Peck and Earth Power, getting her badge
-Beat up the two Galactic freaks and got HM02
-Ran down to Pastoria
-Had a little fun with the Croagunk sign (Did anyone else have a Croagunk walk up and look at you the first time you stepped behind the sign? I did and I can't figure out if it's supposed to happen.)
-Battled and destroyed my rival again
-Taught Titan Shock Wave and spammed through the Gym
-Zapped Wake into a crisp to get his badge
-Witnessed Galactic bomb explosion
-Chased a Galactic freak and kicked his ass
-Got the Secretpotion from Cynthia
-Is currently returning to Hearthome City the long way for more exp.

That's all for now.

January 10th, 2011, 2:34 PM
Update: now through Victory Road. About to challenge the Elite Four for the first time.

-Got an egg
-Returned to Canalave and took on Byron's Gym
-Destroyed him with Surf + Earth Power to get his badge
-Entered the library
-Experienced the earthquake
-LOLed at the librarian after the quake

-Battled and easily beat Candice with Poison Jab, Surf, and Thunderbolt for her badge
-Got HM08
-Went to Lave Acuity
-Witnessed my rival lose to Jupiter
-Flew to Veilstone City
-About to take on the Galactic HQ

And the Lickitung/Lickilicky Ultimate Solo Challenge is COMPLETE!!!!

Now, unfortunately I have to do another post after this one before posting the various screenshots, so give me a couple of minutes and they shall be posted!

EDIT: Um, I've done 15 posts now, but how do I actually put the images in? They are in the form of .png files on my computer, how do I add them? So close yet so far....

January 11th, 2011, 1:23 AM
Mamoswineftw, you will have to create an account on an image sharing website. I recommend photobucket. Then you copy the url of the image in [img ] and [/ img] (without the spaces)

January 11th, 2011, 6:33 AM
I'll do an Ultimate Challenge with Jolteon.
I'll use Fire Red, Crystal, Ruby and Pearl. (:

January 11th, 2011, 6:46 AM
UPDATE: Okay, I've managed to do it (thanks Lord Storm!), so here's proof of my Ruby Hall of Fame and screenshots from my trip through Sinnoh. Unfortunately, Kanto/Johto were done on my nds, and so pics wwere taken on my iPhone. For some reason I can't copy them to my computer without a watermark across them, but these should do.

Oh yeah, plus my 3 HM slaves who I forgot to take a SS of

Thank you so much egg-move Magnitude

STAB Stomp - legendary move

Own Tempo is by FAR the best ability

2 Stomps and a Magnitude 8, no worries

Shock Wave/Power Whip. Nuff said

Surf ftw

Pity Lucario would die everytime I used Surf....

Flamethrower - don't you love Normal type pokemon and their versatility

Cool stuff ay?

Some pretty trippy surfing in the Distortion World

Ouch, taken down by a 10 year old (character I mean, I'm a bit older) with 1 pokemon

Oops - a Power Whip crit killed it. Who cares?

Guess you won't be taking your journey after all Volkner

Surf, again.

This guy was actually pretty tough. Must've used 6 Hyper Potions to make Lucky last. Tell you what, I loved his bulkiness here.

Taught him Ice beam here, it made all the difference.

My Hall of Fame pic, did the E4+Champion completely solo, no HM slaves to help with recovery

Some pre-E4 stats

January 11th, 2011, 9:20 AM
Inspired by jdthebud, I'm gonna start a Girafarig Solo Run.

January 11th, 2011, 1:16 PM
OK, another USC over! Titan, AKA the best Nidoking ever, destroyed everything and added a new Pokémon to my list of favorites.

I think I last left off at the Galactic HQ...
-Got the Warehouse Key from Looker
-Entered the warehouse and found the other key
-Entered the main HQ building
-Witnessed Cyrus's speech (he's a nut, but a damn good public speaker)
-Battled and easily beat Cyrus
-Defeated Saturn again and freed the lake Pokémon
-Climbed Mt. Coronet, destroying all who stood in my way
-Beat Mars and Jupiter, with barely any help from my rival
-Saw Cyrus, Dialga and Palkia, the three lake Pokémon, and Giratina appear
-Entered the Distortion world with Cynthia
-Wandered through there until I found Cyrus (that place is trippin' balls, man)
-Beat Cyrus AGAIN
-Captured Giratina for no reason (BTW, only used one Dusk Ball. Yeah.)
-Traveled to Sunyshore
-Found Volkner and followed him back to the Gym
-Whipped his ass with Earthquake to get his badge
-Got HM07
-Surfed to Victory Road
-Traversed that place (I could've done it blindfolded. It's probably the most straightforward Victory Road since Gold/Silver/Crystal.)
-Defeated my rival quite easily
-Took on the Elite Four
-Aaron: Mostly Thunderbolt/Shadow Ball
-Bertha: Surf
-Flint: Also Surf with an Earthquake or two
-Will: Shadow Ball
-Cynthia: Thunderbolt came in handy, but her stupid Milotic was like "LOL TANK" and used Mirror Coat on me, so I switched to an HM slave, Max Revived Titan, and went "LOL THUNDERBOLT" to it. Everything else was easy.

And that does it, I'm finished with my Nidoking USC!

But not for long... I'm in the mood for another. I'LL BE BACK!

January 11th, 2011, 2:22 PM
I'm starting a solo Rapidash run on LeafGreen, and probably the ultimate solo challenge then the Ultimate Solo Challenge on probably Heart Gold, Ruby, and Pearl. Since it's one of my, if not my number one, favorite Pokemon.

EDIT: I began playing today since there was no homework. No school.

LeafGreen: Kanto Update #1

So, started a new game on LeafGreen, named myself Jess, my opponent Pip (I still don’t understand how his own grandfather forgets his name; just goes to show how special he is), and picked a Squirtle and named him Chad. He’ll be one of my HM Slaves for Surf mwahaha. I went through all the usual, with Pip being a complete jerkface but that’s okay since I’ll own his butt later.

After I got the Pokeballs, I used the Rapidash code, went out and caught myself a Rapidash with Flash Fire because Run Away is quite useless. This took multiple tries and too many Pokeballs, but I managed. I got a level 4 female Rapidash with a Rash nature and named her Pylia, after a king in Greek mythology whose father was Hephaestus (yeah, I just liked the name, and it sounded a little like Pyro).

I began training her, and I must say, Ember was pretty darn good against all those Rattatas and Pidgeys. I never had to use Chad to save her or anything. After some time, I caught myself a Pidgey as another HM Slave and named him Kaze.

After Pylia got to level 11, I started falling asleep from training, so I decided to move on and beat Pip for the second time. Pylia 2HKO’d both his Pidgey and Bulbasaur and being a sore loser, Pip told me to stop dawdling. Okay.

I trained some more with Mankeys and stuff, and then moved on to Viridian Forest with Pylia at level 13. Some old man stopped me on the way, assumed I was a nub, and taught me how to catch Pokemon. Thanks dude.

So I made it through Viridian Forest completely fine (although at the end Pylia got paralyzed by a Pikachu’s Static). I found four Pikachus, and two in a row though, and I was so tempted to catch one…but I didn’t. Then I went to Pewter City to beat Brock. Wewt. Level 17 aww yeeah.

I entered Pewter City Gym: Pylia 2HKO’d both the Jr. Trainer’s Pokemon, did the same to Brock’s Geodude. Pylia had a harder time with Onyx, but not by much, and she barely took any damage. Oops, overleveled much? Anyway, finished with Pylia at level 18. Heh.

I continued on, beat all the trainers easily, then entered Mt. Moon, where I used Chad to catch a Paras for my third and last HM Slave. I named him Herbie.

After I got out into the sun, I immediately went to beat Pip again, owned him, went through all the trainers on the Nugget Bridge and in front of Bill’s House. I found TM43, Secret Power, behind some trainer and taught it to Pylia. This proved very handy.

With Pylia at level 27, I went into Cerulean Gym and expected to get beat by Misty several times, but nope, Secret Power worked very well. One hit and both Staryu and Starmie were down. Uh, yeah, probably overleveled. Well…I got my Cascadebadge!

I continued on to Vermillion after getting Dig (useless to me probably) and on the way there, trained to level 30. After returning from Cerulean, where I got my bike, I boarded the S.S. Anne and am about to start the cabin battles.

♀ L.30 Pylia – Rapidash – Rash – Flash Fire
Quick Attack
Secret Power

♂ L.7 Chad – Squirtle – Impish – Torrent
Tail Whip

♂ L.3 Kaze – Pidgey – Naughty – Keen Eye

♂ L.7 Herbie – Paras – Bashful – Effect Spore
Stun Spore

January 11th, 2011, 6:41 PM
Drum roll please everyone! This is the start of an all new Ultimate Solo Challenge! And this time, the partner accompanying me will be.....

Katana the Zangoose!

Unnecessary spoiler is unnecessary. Anyways! This time, my partner and I will be playing through Leaf Green, then Heart Gold (UNLESS Shiny Gold is an acceptable alternative, seeing as I don't want to go through all the trouble and LAGGING of using a Heart Gold ROM again), then Sapphire, and finally Pearl.

So, first update!
-Got Katana from Oak and beat my rival, who I named Troll, cause he's always acting like one, and his Bulbasaur
-Got Oak's Parcel, delivered it, got the Dex, and did some heavy grinding
-Beat Troll again on Route 22 or whatever it is
-Strode leisurely through the Viridian Forest and arrived in Pewter
-Did more grinding until Katana was at level 16 or so
-Battled Brock and barely beat him (Swords Dance twice, then Fury Cutter spam is a delightfully simple but effective strategy)
-Got the Boulder Badge and left for Cerulean
-Received the running shoes (about time, walking everywhere is too slow)
-Beat shorts dude (ah, memories...)
-Entered Mt. Moon
-Did more grinding up to level 21
-Blew through the cave and arrived in Cerulean not too long after (also, I just realized that the mappers at Nintendo did a horrible job with the bottom floor; no border tiles or well defined walls? I am disappoint.)
-Beat Troll with Slash
-Beat Misty with Swords Dance and Slash and got the Cascade badge
-Got my Nugget from the Nugget Bridge and beat the Rocket grunt in disguise
-Helped Bill return to normal and got SS Anne tickets
-Beat up a Rocket grunt
-Traveled to Vermillion City
-Got on the SS Anne
-Defeated Troll again, much to his displeasure
-Got HM01
-Left the ship
-Entered the Gym at level 34
-Dug through trash until I found two switches
-Slashed through Lt. Surge's team easily and got the Thunder badge
-Went through Diglett's Tunnel and got HM05
-Ran back to Cerulean

And that's the first update. Next up is Rock Tunnel and then to Celadon!

EDIT: Update number two!
-Left for Rock Tunnel
-Traversed it and exited into Lavender Town
-Headed west to Celadon City
-Got HM02
-Entered Erika's Gym
-Defeated Erika using Slash and Aerial Ace to get the Rainbow badge
-Discovered the secret Rocket base
-Met Giovanni and destroyed his team with Brick Break
-Got the Silph Scope
-Got the tea and gave it to the Saffron gate guards
-Entered Saffron City
-Defeated the Fighting Dojo on the way through
-Returned to Lavender
-Entered the Pokémon Tower
-Beat Troll again with just Slash
-Exorcised a bunch of freaky ladies
-Put a Marowak's soul to rest
-Beat the Rocket grunts out and met Mr. Fuji
-Got the Poké Flute from him
-Woke Snorlax up and beat it
-Walked all the way south to Fuchsia City
-Entered the Safari Zone and found the Gold Teeth
-Received HM03 and HM04
-Entered Koga's Gym
-Beat him easily thanks to Katana's Immunity and a Swords Dance/Slash combo
-Got the Soul(?) badge

And that's the end of update two.

January 11th, 2011, 11:36 PM
Well, yesterday marked the conclusion of my Lickitung/Lickilicky USC, and today I have started another with:

Trixie the Mawile!

Going to go with Leaf Green, Soul Silver, Ruby and then Pearl

So, here's what has happened so far on LG:

-Used Advance Starter to replace Squirtle with Mawile
-Picked Mawile, a female with a quirky nature, ability Intimidate, and named her Trixie
-Defeated Moron's Bulbasaur with a few Astonishes
-Then realised that I couldn't train on Rt 1 since there are only Pidgeys/Rattatas, so off to Rt 22
-Grinded against wild monkeys... I mean Mankeys until she learnt Bite at lvl 11
-Got Oak's Parcel and delivered it, got a Pokedex from the old tree... Oak
-Moron told me his sis wouldn't give me a Map, so I cbf going and trying
-Went round to Rt 22 again and Bit Pidgey/Bulbasaur until they fainted
-Went through Viridian Forest (loling at Weedles who could only use String Shot), got Trixie to lvl 15
-Beat Brock's Gym with 7 Bites and a Fake Tears, taught Trixie Rock Tomb
-Youngster Ben and his shorts and the others defeated
-Healed at Mt Moon pokecentre, entered the cave
-Got through Mt Moon with no worries, Trixie learnt Vicegrip instead of Astonish and grew to lvl 24
-Saved before challenging Misty and couldn't beat her the first time, so went and trained against those north of Cerulean, and then re-challenged her lvl 28
-Beat her easily, then saved the game and stopped for the day

January 11th, 2011, 11:50 PM
Hmm...would it be possible to turn my already completed Yellow Solo Challenge with my Dewgong into a Ultimate Solo Challenge?

January 12th, 2011, 12:05 AM
Yes you can turn it into an ultimate solo Infernorogue. I am going to do a Emerlad 386 and Fire red omega solo run with Abra/Kadabra/Alakazam. However, i will teach it return with a TM, as otherwise it will lack any attacking moves.

January 12th, 2011, 1:55 AM
I have a big update but I am tired and I will just post where I am up to.
I have made it all the way up to route 210 on celestic town side.
My bronzong is level 50.

January 12th, 2011, 4:11 AM
Well, turns out that I wasn't quite done for the day :P So update time once again:
Last time, we left off just after I had beaten Misty.
-Defeated the rest of the trainers North of Cerulean and fixed Bill, got SS Ticket
-Defeated the Rocket and got TM 28, which apparently is incompatible with Mawile :(
-Went through beating all trainers North and East of Vermillion, then went to the SS Anne
-Battled everyone, taught Mawile Brick Break instead of Fake Tears from a TM, and replaced Bite with Crunch
-Beat Moron easily, got cut HM
-Went through Vermillion Gym with ease, found the Hidden switches in the 4th and 5th bins I tried
-Crunched Lt Surge's team
-Caught a Spearow which I then traded for Ch'ding the Farfetch'd, my Cut/Fly HM Slave
-Went and defeated all trainers on the way to Rock Tunnel, Trixie is now lvl 41
-Realised I'd forgotten to get my Bike, so went and did all that
-Decided to forego getting Flash, just bought a bunch of Repels and went through on memory
-Taught Trixie Rock Slide from the tutor in place of Rock Tomb
-Defeated Moron yet again
-Defeated Erika with no sweat
-Got the Coin Case, now need a LOT of coins so I can get the Ice Beam/Flamethrower TMs for later on
-Went through the Rocket Base beneath the Game Corner, beat Giovanni
-Sold off a bunch of items/useless TMs, getting some more ca$h
-Got HM 02 Fly, taught to Ch'ding
-Calmed Cubone's mother
-Defeated the Grunts/rescued Mr Fuji
-Used the pokeflute to wake up the East of Vermillion Snorlax, which I then caught as a Surf/Strength HM Slave
-Travelled down the route south of the Snorlax until I ran out of PP
-Went down Cycling Road defeating all bikers
-Went through Koga's Gym, hardest one yet

Haven't done an update for a short time now so I'll do one later.

January 12th, 2011, 5:27 AM
And I finished the Leaf Green portion of my Mawile USC. Have to say that I spent quite a bit longer than necessary playing this today, but oh well. Rather than describing what happened, I'll let the screenshots dictate the story. And at the end, check out what Oak says in response to my pokedex of 3 pokemon caught:

Stupid shopkeepers:

Trainer Card, Oak's funny comments and Trixie's stats:

Now I am definitely too tired to start the Soul Silver portion, but will do tomorrow.

Congrats for finishing the challenge and Level 97 Mawile!

Its been a while since I've been on Pokécommunity,
(even when I was on I Didn't post much, gonna try and post often this time around)
Didn't finish my monotype challenge last time out.
Wondering if It would be alright for me to do a solo challenge on red with Hitmonchan?

January 12th, 2011, 11:35 AM
Update number three!

-Went up Cycling Road
-Flew to Saffron City
-Entered the Silph building and destroyed all Rocket freaks
-Beat Troll and Giovanni
-Exited Silph Co.
-Defeated Sabrina with Slash spam and got the Marsh badge
-Flew to Pallet Town and then surfed to Cinnabar Island
-Got the Secretkey in the burned mansion
-Entered Blaine's Gym and beat him with another spam session of Slash to get the Volcano badge
-Did all the crap on the islands
-Flew back to Viridian City
-Took on Giovanni in his Gym and kicked his evil ass to get the Earth badge
-Beat Troll on the way to Indigo Plateau
-Went through Victory Road
-Entered the Elite Four (with a level 100 Zangoose, bi-otch)
-Lorelei or whatever her name is: Brick Break spam
-Bruno: Aerial Ace/Brick Break
-Agatha: Aerial Ace/Slash
-Lance: Swords Dance, then Slash spam
-Troll: Swords Dance + Slash again

That's one down, three to go! By the way, is Shiny Gold an acceptable substitute for Heart Gold? The emulator was way too glitchy the last time I used it, and the lag was unbearable.

January 12th, 2011, 11:55 AM
I'd like to start a solo challenge with Blastoise. It'll probably be an ultimate solo challenge, unless I get really sick of it after playing through Red. So far, it's looking like I'm going to be playing:

First update (Red Version):

-Picked Squirtle as my starter (obviously). Nicknamed it BLASTER.
-Did the beginning-of-the-game stuff, including defeating my rival twice.
-Blaster and I plowed through Viridian Forest.
-Blew through the gym easily. One badge down!
-Blaster evolved into Wartortle!
-Traversed Mt. Moon and reached Cerulean City.
-Beat my rival and crossed Nugget Bridge.
-Beat Misty (Blaster is now at lvl. 30)
-Cleared the S.S. Anne, beat my rival again, and got Cut.
-Caught an Oddish to teach Cut to.
-Beat Lt. Surge. Blaster evolved into Blastoise.
-Stumbled through Rock Tunnel and successfully reached Lavender Town.
-Defeated Erika (with help from the new Ice Beam TM I got from the girl in the department store)
-Cleared the tower in Lavender Town and got the Pokeflute
-Climbed the Silph building, defeated my rival again (with the 1/256 chance of any attack missing happening twice in a row), and defeated Giovanni. Also picked up a Lapras.
-Defeated Sabrina
-Got HM02, caught a Spearow to use it with, and defeated Snorlax before hurrying along to Fuschia City
-Got HM03 and HM04
-Defeated Koga
-Got the Secret Key from the Cinnabar Mansion and defeated Blaine with ease
-Beat Giovanni easily as well. All eight badges down!
-Defeated my rival again and passed through Victory Road
-Time for the Elite Four! I figure I might as well try using the rest of my rare candies to see how high-leveled I can get by the end of the Elite Four, as this run probably isn't going to be challenging regardless of what I do at this point.

The team entering the Elite Four:

BLASTER (Blastoise) lvl. 73
-Ice Beam
-Body Slam

Oddish lvl. 15 (Cut)
Lapras lvl. 15 (Strength)
Spearow lvl. 20 (Fly)

Part 2: Elite Four Battle Details:

Lorelei: A mix of Dig and Body Slam take her down. I got confused by Lapras at one point, but fortunately, I only wasted one turn attacking myself.
Bruno: Surf x5 = victory
Agatha: I hate confusion, but fortunately, I didn't hurt myself at all. Mix of Dig, Surf, and Ice Beam take care of her.
Lance: Body Slam for Gyarados, Surf for Aerodactyl, Ice Beam for the rest.
Rival: Ice Beam for Pidgeot and Venusaur, Body Slam for Alakazam and Gyarados, Surf for Rhydon and Arcanine. Why does the game turn on animations for this battle if they're off, by the way?

Final details for Blastoise (the rest of the team hasn't changed):

BLASTER (Blastoise) lvl. 76
-Ice Beam
-Body Slam

Game time: 12:35 (with a lot of wall collisions)

Reflections: Ah, the memories. My original Red playthrough was pretty much a Blastoise Solo Run, though this one was a lot easier, with the better moveset, etc. If I can figure out how to hack Squirtle into the later games, I think I'll continue this challenge as an ultimate solo run.

Next up: Gold Version!

January 12th, 2011, 9:11 PM
Alright, moving on to the next game, which I am changing to Soul Silver after much inner debate. Mainly because 1) I felt that using Shiny Gold was a bit of a cop out, and plus it's not even done up past Red (I think) and 2) I couldn't find a working ROM for Heart Gold, but since I have one for Soul Silver already, I'll just use it.

-Did the intro
-Got a Totodile for water HMs
-Got Zangoose
-Picked up the egg
-Battled the rival and won easily
-Delivered the egg and named my rival Ginger (it's supposed be GingerTits, but that was too long)
-Ran to Violet City
-Beat everyone in Sprout Tower and got Flash
-Entered Falkner's Gym and beat him with Quick Attack to get the Zephyr badge (coolest badge ever, in the naming and the design)
-Was forced to take the egg
-Traveled through Union Cave to Azalea Town
-Met Kurt and entered the well
-Beat up all the Rocket losers in there
-Entered Bugsy's Gym and beat him/her (I honestly don't know) with Slash to get the Hive badge
-Battled GingerTits again, but his Ghastly was a pain in the ass; not having any moves that affect it other than Fury Cutter sucks
-Saved at the entrance to the Ilex Forest

Update two will (hopefully) be coming tomorrow, depending on school situations and homework.

January 12th, 2011, 10:25 PM
Alright. I'll be continuing my challenge at one point with Dewgong; just want to finish this other Ultimate challenge I'm doing first...

January 12th, 2011, 11:53 PM
Blastoise Solo Challenge Section 2: Gold Version

I figured out how to hack Squirtle in as a wild catchable Pokemon on Route 29, so I have my team for the next challenge. It was actually surprisingly hard to catch (had it in the red, yet still took 10+ pokeballs), but then again, it's not like I've ever tried to catch a wild Squirtle before. So, without further ado, here are the details on the start of my Gold Version challenge.

-Chose Totodile as a starter (for HMs) and completed pre-pokeball activities
-Caught Squirtle (BLASTER) on Route 29
-Cleared the Sprout Tower
-Won my first badge at the gym
-While progressing southward, Blaster evolved into Wartortle
-Passed through Union Cave and cleared Team Rocket out of the Slowpoke Well
-Defeated Bugsy
-Defeated Rival
-Got HM01 Cut (taught to Totodile), Headbutt, and passed through Ilex Forest
-Defeated Whitney and got the Squirtbottle
-Caught Sudowoodo
-Defeated Rival again in Ecruteak City
-Won HM03 Surf and taught it to Blaster
-Beat Morty
-Blaster evolved into Blastoise
-Got HM04 Strength

The Team:

BLASTER (Blastoise) lvl. 37
-Ice Punch

Totodile lvl. 9 (Cut)
Togepi lvl. 5
Sudowoodo lvl. 20

January 12th, 2011, 11:54 PM
Pokemon Red Solo Play through with Hitmonchan
Named myself Mikachu and my Rival Fool 'cause I'm so gangsta'
Picked charmander as starter and hacked Hitmonchan into game
Caught Hitmonchan on first route and named him Tyson

Done some grinding before First rival battle and won easily with comet punch

Had to do a disgusting amount of grinding in viridian forest to be able to take down Brock.

Thought Tyson Bide to give myself another option.
Flew Threw Mt Moon(I had to go to the pokecentre often to restore pp)
Beat Fool easily and blazed by nugget bridge and trainers on way to Billyboys.

Beat Misty very easily, heres my stats now after second badge

During SS.Anne finally learned Fire Punch :D

Took down Surge without too much hassle

More updates to come :) Gonna start a new challenge to mix it up a bit :P

January 13th, 2011, 1:23 AM
Well, I decided to go to Ruby before Soul Silver since I wanted to get Gen III over and done with. Which it now is :P Trixie the Mawile and I destroyed everything in our path. cbf putting up all the screenies, but I will add a few:

I got kind of bored of just battling, so decided to enter some contests. Managed to get to Hyper Rank in Cool, Cute, Tough and Smart. The moveset for those was slightly different: Return, Facade, Crunch and Rock Tomb. However, my conditions weren't high enough to get me wins in Master Rank ;( the other ribbons were for Hall of Fame and Effort Ribbon. I'll start Soul Silver shortly.

January 13th, 2011, 1:37 AM
I have decided to change my group of hack solos so that I am playing through 4 386 challenges in the order of Emerald 386->Sapphire386->Firered386->Firered Omega. I will be using Abra/Kadabra/Alakazam.

January 13th, 2011, 8:25 AM
More updates on the Gold leg of my Blastoise Ultimate Solo Challenge:

-Climbed the Lighthouse, then went to Cianwood and got the Secretpotion
-Defeated Chuck and got Fly (and caught a Hoothoot to use with it)
-Cured Amphy in Olivine, then defeated Jasmine
-Caught the Red Gyarados
-Removed Team Rocket from Mahogany Town and defeated Pryce
-Cleared Team Rocket out of the Radio Tower in Goldenrod
-Passed through Ice Path and beat Clair for my eighth gym badge
-Reached Victory Road and defeated my rival again

The Elite Four:

-Will: Mostly used Bite, with Ice Punch on the first Xatu
-Koga: Surf for four Pokemon, Ice Punch for Crobat
-Bruno: Mixture of Surf, Ice Punch, and Headbutt
-Karen: Mixture of Surf, Ice Punch, Bite, and Headbutt. Hurt myself in confusion for four straight turns against Umbreon, but the battle still turned out okay.
-Lance: Don't remember what I used for Gyarados, but Ice Punch for the dragons and Surf for the others. Easy enough.

The Team:

BLASTER (Blastoise) lvl. 62
-Ice Punch

Totodile lvl. 9 (Cut)
Togepi lvl. 5 (Flash)
Sudowoodo lvl. 20 (Strength)
Hoothoot lvl. 12 (Fly)
Gyarados lvl. 30

Next up: Kanto!

Update: I ended up speeding through Kanto without recording the details as I went along, so I don't have a precise log for that part. Nothing unusual happened, and no one else joined my team (I opted to KO Snorlax instead). Kanto was a breeze. I don't really know why there's a 20-level jump between Blue and Red, but it all worked out anyway.

The battle with Red was slightly more challenging than the rest of the post-Elite Four game. Blaster KOed Pikachu with a single Surf, then used Ice Punch for Venusaur, a lot of Headbutts for Snorlax, Bite for Espeon and the opposing Blastoise, and Surf for Charizard to finish things off.

Final Stats (only bothering to list Blastoise here, everyone else was the same as before):

BLASTER (Blastoise) lvl. 78
-Ice Punch

Reflections: I love Blastoise. I've never played through Gold with him before (I added one to my original Gold team after beating Red for the first time), but it was a blast. The whole thing was pretty easy, but that's the nature of a lot of solo runs (with some exceptions), once you get a decent moveset.

Coming up next: Ruby! It's probably my least favorite region, but hopefully it'll be fun.

January 13th, 2011, 8:51 PM
Another update on the Zangoose Solo run:
-Caught the two Farfetch'd and got HM01
-Navigated through Ilex Forest
-Arrived in Goldenrod
-Got the Radio Card and bike
-Took on Whitney and easily won with Slash for the Plain badge (Funny yet aggravating story: I actually had to battle her three times, but not due to losses. The emulator I'm using glitched up on the next trainer battle I entered and I forgot to save, then it glitched up again later when I reached Ecruteak and erased my data to when I last opened it. I was sooooooo pissed.)
-Traveled to that annoying tree/Sudowoodo and beat it
-Arrived in Ecruteak City
-Saved the Kimono girl
-Battled GingerTits in the Burned Tower
-Found the legendary dogs/cats/whatever-they-are
-Entered Morty's Gym and beat him using Pursuit for the Fog badge
-Got HM04
-Traveled to Olivine
-Climbed the lighthouse and met Jasmine
-Surfed to Cianwood
-Battled Eusine after seeing Suicune (anyone else notice the similarity in names? I just did today... LOL)
-Entered Chuck's Gym and beat him with a Slash spam (hypnosis missing = lucky for me) to get his badge
-Got HM02
-Grabbed the SecretPotion
-Flew back to Olivine, delivered the potion, and got Jasmine back in the kitchen Gym
-Entered her Gym (armed with Parylz Heals) and beat her with a Swords Dance/Slash combo on the second try for the Mineral badge

And that's it for now. Next update will probably be tomorrow, and I hope to have taken care of the Elite Four by then.

January 14th, 2011, 7:32 AM
Quick update: I beat Will and Koga. I hate Slowbro and Forretress and...Crobat. And that's all the haters I got so far. (:

January 14th, 2011, 5:14 PM
Crystal Update #3.

Went from Ecruteak to Mahogany Town.

2 Psybeams, game over.

Steelix took a few Psybeams, but Iron Tail wasn't powerful enough.

- Gonna do Lake of Rage now.

Team Gerry:
Palin the Girafarig, ♂ - L44 @ Quick Claw
Moves: Psybeam, Return, Agility, Headbutt
Totodile, ♂ - L7
Slave Moves: Cut, Surf
Hoothoot, ♂ - L4
Slave Moves: Flash, Fly
Geodude, ♀ - L6
Slave Moves: Rock Smash, Dig, Strength

January 14th, 2011, 5:35 PM
Another update on my USC with Katana the Zangoose:
-Flew back to Ecruteak and surfed to Mahogany
-Traveled to the Lake of Rage and defeated the red Gyarados
-Met Lance and headed back to Mahogany
-Infiltrated the Rocket base
-Defeated the admins and took out the generator
-Entered Pryce's Gym
-Battled him and won with a Swords Dance/Slash combo (I'm starting to really appreciate Swords Dance) and got the Glacier badge
-Traversed Ice Cave and arrived in Blackthorn
-Took on Clair's Gym and beat her with the same strategy from Pryce's battle
-Entered the Dragon's Den and passed the elder's test
-Received the Rising badge
-Met with Elm and got the Master Ball
-Sweeped through the five Kimono girls
-Flew to the Whirl Islands and got to the bottom
-Defeated Lugia for EXP
-Flew back to New Bark Town and headed east
-Passed through Tohjo Falls
-Traveled to the entrance to Victory Road
-Navigated through it until GingerTits stopped me
-Battled and destroyed his team without using Swords Dance
-Entered Indigo Plateau and began my challenge
-Will: X-Scissor spam
-Koga: Took out Ariados, then used Swords Dance while Foretress was out, then sweeped the rest of his team
-Bruno: Three Swords Dances, then easy sweeping with Slash (Close Combat on Onix)
-Karen: See above (other than Gengar, who was a pain; I had to use X-Scissor and it barely survived, she healed, then another two X-Scissors)
-Lance: Three Swords Dances while Gyarados was out, then sweeped with Slash

So now all that's left is Kanto and Red. I'll probably just have all of that in one giant update sometime late tonight/tomorrow.

January 14th, 2011, 5:50 PM
I started my Blastoise solo run on Ruby last night, but never got around to posting about it. So, here it goes:

-Chose Treecko as my starter (HMs, plus, not sure how the game would respond if I hacked Squirtle in as my starter and the game thought I had a Pokedex of zero)
-Did the beginning game stuff, then hacked a Squirtle into Route 101 and caught it (BLASTER is back!)
-Went to Petalburg City, beating trainers along the way, and accompanied Wally as he caught his first Pokemon
-Passed through Petalburg Woods, taking care of a small Team Magma problem
-Easily won my first badge in Rustboro. Squirtle evolved into Wartortle here
-Got the goods back for the Devon guy and got the PokeNav
-Beat Brawly and delivered the letter to Steven
-Took care of Team Magma in Slateport
-Beat my rival again on the way to Mauville
-Beat the gym leader in Mauville (and the trainers on the surrounding routes)
-Blaster evolved into Blastoise
-Traveled to Fallarbor Town
-Beat Team Magma people in Meteor Falls and Mt. Chimney
-Got my fourth and fifth gym badges
-Beat Team Magma at the Weather Institute and got Castform
-Beat Winona for my sixth gym badge
-Cleared the Team Magma Hideout

The team:

BLASTER the Brave Blastoise (too lazy to try to get a different nature) lvl. 56
-Ice Beam

Grovyle lvl. 17 (Cut, Rock Smash, Flash, Strength) (levels up way too much in double battles)

Castform lvl. 25

Wingull lvl. 3 (Fly)

January 14th, 2011, 8:54 PM
Update number four on the Johto portion of the USC, and I'm already done!
-Sailed to Kanto on the ship
-Arrived in Vermillion and beat Lt. Surge immediately
-Went to Saffron City and took on Sabrina, beating her all too easily
-Walked to Celadon, beat Erika just as easily
-Biked to Fuchsia and battled Janine, winning just like all the other Gyms so far
-Flew back to Saffron, then went north to Cerulean
-Went to the Power Plant and found out about the missing part
-Got the part back from the Engrish speaking Rocket
-Katana reached level 100 already, with no help from Rare Candies this time, either
-Found Misty
-Took Misty down just like every other leader
-Returned the missing part
-Went to Lavender and got the Radio upgrade card
-Woke up the Snorlax in front of Diglett's Cave
-Traveled to Pewter and battled Brock, taking him down with ease
-Ran down to Viridian, then Pallet, then surfed to the remains of Cinnabar
-Headed to the Seafoam Islands and entered Blaine's makeshift Gym
-Beat Blaine, though Magcargo's Flame Body pissed me off
-Flew back to Viridian
-Took on Blue and kicked his ass
-Got HM08
-Went to Mt. Silver and climbed to the top
-Took on Red, who was the first and only challenge of the second half of the game
-Beat his Pikachu easily, but I couldn't pull off a Swords Dance until Charizard came out, which was after I beat down both Blastoise and Venasaur
-After the Swords Dance, everything was a piece of cake

So with the Champion title mine and with Red defeated, I now move on to Hoenn.

January 14th, 2011, 10:19 PM
Well I started my hacks solo today with Emerald386, and made a lot of progress in about 2 hours, getting 6 gym badges. I am missing a few images, but thats because my laptop kept choosing to crash windows explorer D:<

-Lost the image of defeating may by spamming Return.
-Lost the image of defeating the the Aqua grunt for the first time by OHKO Return Crit.
-OHKO all with Confusion
-Defeating Team Aqua for the second time with Confusion.
-OHKOing all her mons with Psybeam.
-OHKO all with Psybeam.
-The Carvanha kept using Bite, and Recover saved me here.
-OHKOing her again with Psybeam.
-2HKO with Psybeam.
-Gawd, paralysis gets annoying, but other than that, Psybeam won this.
-Easy, but lost pic of beating the girl.
-Annoying with Magnemite.
-Very easy with Psychic.
-Also very easy with Psychic.
The only damage was from Linoones Facade, whic was caused by a miss from Psychic, but other than that, easy.
-Lost image of defeating TV presenters.
-Easy with Psychic and Shock Wave.
-OHKO's on Blaziken and Pelipper. Ludicolo took two shots.
-Annoying Paralysis.
-Psychic and Shock Wave were helpful here.

I may update this post later if i make any more progress today.

January 14th, 2011, 10:56 PM
I Finished the challenge.

Fooze and Belte made their way to Celestic town after beating Crasher Wake and Stopped team Galactic from blowing the town up.
They then defeated the leader of team galactic and headed to Canalave city where together they helped riley in Iron Island and Defeated Byron for their 6th Gym badge.
Soon the duo learnt that Team galactic was stealing the lake trio. Fooze and Belte defeated two comanders before enduring mt Coronet and making their way to snowpoint city. They defeated Candice and witnessed Jupiter Beat their Rival Terrale.
They headed to the Galactic Headquarters and rid Veilstone city of Team Galactic and freeing the lake trio. Fooze later headed to mt Coronet again but this time scaled it to the top and went into the distortion world and defeated Cyrus for the final time. He caught the mighty Giratina and left for sunnyshore city. Once there Fooze and Belte encouraged Volkner to battle with them and they defeated him earning the final gym badge. Fooze surfed over to victory road and navigated his way to the elite four H.Q.
Him and Belte the Bronzong defeated all four members and also defeated the Sinnoh champion Cynthia, gaining the title of Sinnoh Champion.

Tentacool lvl. 10 (Dive, Waterfall)
Groudon lvl. 45

Elite Four Battle Details:

Next up: Sinnoh (Platinum)! One game left in the challenge!

January 15th, 2011, 5:55 AM
Well I have finished the Emerald386 part of my challenge, which was relatively easy excluding Sidney.

-Started off from Fortree City, did the mt pyre and went for team magma
-Defeated Maxie easily
-The annoyance of team bases. But an easy battle at the end
-Pretty easy, with Shadow Ball dominating this gym
-Took out Maxie then Tabitha to make this much easier
-OHKO's galore
-Evil Kingdra and his evasiveness and his 1x to Shock Wave
-His pokemon were tougher than I thought
-HARDEST. BATTLE. EVER. I never knew Calm mind was soooooo useful. Especially with his insane defensiveness
-Same with the Calm Mind techniques, leaving Phoebe wrecked from OHKO's
-Pretty easy, 6 Calm Minds, 6 dead pokemon.
-OHKO Psychics against Dragons? Who knew?
-Easy with the 6 Calm Minds.
-Easy. Even against 6 level 100's, 6 Calm Minds meant insta-kills for all except Metagross, who, luckily for me, missed with Meteor Mash, leaving him open for another Super-charged Shock Wave.

I will start on Sapphire386 wither later today, or tomorrow.

January 15th, 2011, 11:26 AM
Oh look! A picture of me and Champ as League Champions!
Yup, I finally managed to beat up Bruno, Karen, and Lance. I decided to take a quick picture of my success on my phone as proof. Champ finished the first League challenge at level 66; his moves are Waterfall, Ice Fang, Crunch, and Earthquake.
I also made my way over to Kanto via the boat, where I then beat up Lt. Surge, Sabrina, Erika, and Janine. Now I'm on the path to Lavendar Town.

January 15th, 2011, 11:09 PM
Blastoise Solo Challenge Segment 4: Platinum

Here's what I've accomplished so far:

-Chose Turtwig as my starter and completed the beginning of the game stuff
-Finally managed to hack a Squirtle into one of the routes after a lot of frustrating failed attempts (when I finally caught said Squirtle, I nicknamed it BLASTER, like usual)
-Defeated my rival and made my way to Oreburgh City

Sadly I'm gonna have to quit my ultimate solo with Nidoran some pathetic ass snuck into my house and stole my DS along with some others things, so pretty much now I can't play the Johto or Sinnoh parts of the solo.

P.S. I was extremely lucky that my game wasn't in the DS seen as it has 3 boxes of chained shinys and a few boxes of lvl 100's(including all my Metagross's and Kabutop's from runs I've done here.)

January 16th, 2011, 6:13 AM
I'm still not on the finished list? have I been forgotten or isn't the list updated yet?

January 16th, 2011, 10:50 AM
Firstly, 11wildy, this threat barely gets updated, possibly due to Myrrhman being busy, i dont know, but it isnt updated very often.

Now for Update1 of Sapphire386!
I started around an hour ago, and due to Sapphire386 running almost twice as fast as Emerald386, I have made progress much faster, even with staying up so late with it almost being 5am here. I will simply post images today, due to tiredness, and will not post alakazams stats, as i forgot to upload them.

Damn, that sucks. I hope that bastard gets caught soon. If my DS got stolen, I'd flip. Thankfully all of my solo challenges are on my computer (I use ROMs because I don't wanna delete my other game files lol) so unless my computer gets taken, they're safe. Was it a DSi, DS Lite, or just an old DS, if I may ask?

Anyways, here's the first update on my Platinum leg.
-Got Zangoose from Rowan
-Beat the rival, who I named Barry (I know it's a stock name, but anything other than the Barry Dance doesn't sound right; you know what I'm talking about)
-Got a PokéDex
-Ran to Jubilife and delivered the parcel to Barry
-Got a Pokétch
-Beat Barry again
-Traveled to Oreburg
-Met Roark and followed him back to the Gym
-Beat Roark with a Swords Dance/Fury Cutter spam combo
-Went back to Jubilife and beat down the Galactic weirdos
-Walked to Floaroma Town
-Went to the Valley Windworks and beat the Galactic freak
-Beat his cohorts and got the key
-Entered the Windworks and beat Mars
-Journeyed up to Eterna City
-Took on Gardenia and beat her with a Fury Cutter spam and Crush Claw
-Got HM01 from Cynthia
-Entered the Galactic building
-Took down Jupiter with ease
-Got a bike
-Rode down to Oreburg
-Got the Dowsing App and VS Seeker
-Navigated through Mt. Coronet
-Arrived in Hearthome
-Took on Fantina and beat her with Pursuit
-Battled Barry yet again and beat him
-Currently heading towards Solaceon Town

DS lite, Seen as it has the best Flash card compatibility which is what I use to play Black. Anyway he wasn't very careful with how he stole stuff and we will probably be able to catch him soon enough. I would have been so much more pissed if Platinum had of been in my DS cause as I said that has pretty much 5-6yrs worth of pokemon on it(I like keeping all my pokemon in one game usually). I think our insurance covers the DS though so I might get a new one soon :D.

P.S. I would have lol'ed if he took my old DS seen as the top screens completely screwed and it's near impossible to do anything with it.

January 16th, 2011, 10:57 PM
Sorry about the theft, Stargate. I hope the guy gets caught soon.

Crystal Update #4.

Finished Johto part of Crystal!

Started in Mahogony Town.

- Beat Lake of Rage and TR Hideout. Taught Palin Hidden Power (Steel), and he learned Crunch as well.

Hidden Power (Steel) FTW lol. Not that it was needed.

Palin is unstoppable right now.

Accidentally used Psybeam on Houndour, then Return for 3 OHKOs.

Psybeam worked, and so did Return for Kingdra.

- Taught Palin Earthquake.
- Indigo Plateau time!

5 Cruch OHKOs.

4 Psybeam OHKOs and a 2HKO with Earthquake on Forretress (used Spikes lol).

4 Psybeam OHKOs and Earthquake for Onix. Stupid Mach Punch...

2 Returns, 2 Earthquakes, and a Psybeam, all OHKOs.

Way too easy. Return OHKOed Gyrados (crit), Charizard, and all three Dragonites. 2 Psybeams for Aerodactyl.

Yay! Hall of Fame, baby!
Halfway done. Kanto and Red are up next!

Team Gerry:
Palin the Girafarig, ♂ - L68 @ Pink Bow
Moves: Psybeam, Return, Crunch, Earthquake
Totodile, ♂ - L7
Slave Moves: Cut
Hoothoot, ♂ - L4
Slave Moves: Flash, Fly
Geodude, ♀ - L6
Slave Moves: Rock Smash, Dig, Strength
Golduck, ♂ - L22
Slave Moves: Surf, Whirlpool, Waterfall

January 17th, 2011, 8:20 AM
Quick update: sped through the rest of the Kanto badges. Now, I'm going back to battle any trainers I missed so I have the most amount of experience possible before...you know, I don't know if I'm going to tackle the higher-leveled Elite Four or head straight to Red. We'll see.

January 17th, 2011, 8:10 PM
Another update on the Zangoose Challenge!
-Arrived and passed through Solaceon Town
-Traveled up to Veilstone City
-Took a LONG detour by traveling all the way to Pastoria and grabbing TM40 to teach Aerial Ace to Katana
-Took on Maylene and beat her easily with said achieved Aerial Ace
-Helped Dawn get her PokéDex back and got HM02
-Went back to Pastoria
-Found out this interesting fact: When you enter Pastoria City for the first time, and if, before doing anything else, before even talking to anyone, you walk up behind the Croagunk billboard, a cut scene activates where a Croagunk walks up to the side of the poster, looks towards you, laughs, and then enters the marsh. I found this fairly humorous.
-Moving on: Took on Crasher Wake and demolished him
-Chased the Galactic freak to the lake and beat him
-Got the SecretPotion from Cynthia
-Removed the Psyducks and got the Old Charm
-Traveled to Celestic Town and beat the grunt there, then beat Cyrus with ease
-Got HM03
-Did some exploring with Surf, finding extra stuff and clearing the route that leads to the Pal Park
-Surfed to Canalave
-Beat Barry with no trouble
-Sailed to Iron Island and got HM04
-Cleared Iron Island with the epic combo of Zangoose and Lucario
-Returned to Canalave and took on Byron, winning with Brick Break
-Went to the library and felt the tremor
-Flew to Lake Valor and defeated Saturn
-Flew to Lake Verity and beat up Mars
-Am currently heading towards Snowpoint City

I plan to be finished for my next update, which I think will be my 100th, so it's extra special! :D

January 18th, 2011, 5:15 PM
Crystal Update #5.

Finished Crystal! Went through Kanto in one shot lol.

Stupid Sandstorm (Rydon survived an Earthquake).

- After teaching Palin Psychic and getting him to L91 on the Elite Four, Red was up.

Espeon, Snorlax and Charizard were the only non-OHKOs. Espeon took two Crunches (used Reflect), Snorlax took a few Psychics (used Body Slam and Rest), and Charizard a Return and Cruch (used Flamethrower). Pikachu fell to Earthquake, Blastoise to a crit Return, and Venusaur to a Psychic. Palin grew to L92 during the battle.
Final Stats:
http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/9945/ultsolo2crystalstats.png http://img831.imageshack.us/img831/5128/ultsolo2crystaltc.png

The USC #2 is halfway done. Hoenn region up next on Emerald.

Team Gerry (Final):
Palin the Girafarig, ♂ - L92 @ Pink Bow
Moves: Return, Psychic, Crunch, Earthquake
Totodile, ♂ - L7
Slave Moves: Cut
Hoothoot, ♂ - L4
Slave Moves: Flash, Fly
Geodude, ♀ - L6
Slave Moves: Rock Smash, Dig, Strength
Golduck, ♂ - L22
Slave Moves: Surf, Whirlpool, Waterfall

January 18th, 2011, 5:42 PM
USC #3 is finished! Katana the Zangoose powered through the rest of the game with ease.
-Arrived in Snowpoint
-Took on Candice and won easily with Brick Break and Aerial Ace (for Froslass and Abomasnow)
-Climbed up to Lake Acuity and saw Jupiter leaving
-Flew to Veilstone and infiltrated the Galactic HQ
-Took every grunt down and got the key
-Entered the front and found Cyrus
-Battled Cyrus and won handily
-Beat Saturn again and freed the lake Pokémon
-Flew to Mt. Coronet and climbed to the top
-Witnessed the awesome cut scene and entered the Distortion World
-Navigated the mazes and puzzles until I met Cyrus again
-Defeated Cyrus quickly and took down Giratina
-Exited the Distortion World and headed to Sunyshore
-Arrived in Sunyshore and met Flint
-Went to the lighthouse and found Volkner, who returned to the gym
-Followed Volkner to the Gym and beat him with no problems (I got lucky and Static didn't take effect during his battle; it did everywhere else in the gym, though. >.<)
-Got HM07
-Surfed to the entrance to Victory Road
-Navigated through Victory Road (I've played this so many times it's like the map is burnt into my head)
-Arrived at the Pokémon League
-Beat Barry one last time and started the final challenge
-Aaron: Bug types are not good at withstanding Aerial Ace
-Bertha: Required a Swords Dance and a few Brick Breaks/Slashes (depending on typing)
-Flint: Swords Dance + Slash spam
-Lucian: See Flint (Bronzong is the exception; it needed a Brick Break instead)
-Cynthia: Swords Dance, then Aerial Ace for Spiritomb and Roserade, Brick Break for Lucario, and Slash for everything else

And that brings to a close my third Ultimate Solo Challenge. Looking back, I was skeptical of using a Normal type, since I never have before. But Zangoose surprised me. Definitely have a respect for Normal types now, for their versatility (and lack of weaknesses). Swords Dance has also earned a place on my roster of useful moves. I never used stat boosting moves before, but after using Swords Dance, Zangoose was always unstoppable.

Also, 100th post dance! And right on my last update for this challenge. Very fitting, if I do say so myself.

January 19th, 2011, 7:37 AM
Thought I'd send in another quick update...I'm still clearing routes of all trainers. All that remains are the two routes surrounding the Seafoam Islands and, of course, anyone in the Seafoam. I feel like there are two or three people in there...but I'll probably just ignore them for now. I don't need to catch Articuno or anything. (:

Champ the Feraligatr is currently at level 88.
He has a Hardy nature, loves to eat, and holds a Shell Bell.
His stats are 289/230/210/164/164/194.
He slaughters all opposition with Waterfall, Crunch, Ice Fang, and Earthquake.
This is a beast. And I love him to death.

January 19th, 2011, 12:17 PM
Its going well, im fighting Whitney right now ><
Her darn Hax miltank is cheating D:, Fenrir either flinches or is imobolized by love.
He is in lvl 26 though, and I have been beating everyone rather quickly, exept for this one > : O

January 19th, 2011, 7:15 PM

Part 2 of my Ultimate Hack Solo is completed, which marks the end of the Hoenn parts. Next up is FireRed386, but first, my final update of Sapphire386 (Just pictures):

I may update later today, or this weekend, but after that, my updates will be limited due to a new year of school D:

Update 1 of Fire Red 386, without pictures of Kadabra and the image of the first battle, which was lost due to Abra having a total of 3 attack:

January 20th, 2011, 6:55 AM
Putting my challenge on hold, I'll resume with the same Pokémon ect.

What level did Zangoose finish at (in the other games, too, if you don't mind)? I'm curious because it only takes 600,000 exp points to get him to L100.

January 20th, 2011, 4:45 PM
I think I started one of these a while ago on Pearl with a Flygon and got to the seventh badge, but since that was so long ago I want to start a new run on Platinum with Spheal --> Sealeo --> Walrein. I've already prepared the egg and will be starting tomorrow, if not tonight.

I don't think I ever updated, but I did play through a lot of it before being caught up with Christmas then school starting back up. Anyways, today we had a snow day so I was able to pick it up again and now I'm deciding to update! So, here we go!

Still waiting for the update. :S

January 24th, 2011, 5:48 PM
I'm gonna start a solo with a Dratini if I'm able to get into the flippin' dragons den so I can catch one, then raise the egg, then trade it over to my friends game to have her trade it back to me, then restart my game, walk 10k steps, and THEN finally start up the game. And this is all on my actual gameboy, so I won't be able to get any screenshots :(. Silver beeteedubs. Me and my friend lily are facing off in real life to see who's fastest and strongest. It's gonna be a blast.

January 24th, 2011, 11:54 PM
*Sniff* Well guys I'm back, after the excitement of getting a new computer came the quick realization that I had none of my previous saves, on any of my previous games.

I'm gonna go ahead and start over, let's make it a Magmar run this time. Leaf Green, then I'll consider the rest.

First Update:

After telling the Prof my name and my rivals name, I went on to choose my pokemon. I chose Squirtle for two reasons, the first being that I would need to surf later, the second is that my rival chose Bulbasaur. Meaning Magmar would dominate him.

After getting my Squirtle and running back with his package and skipping all that dialog, I encountered a wild Magby. it took four of my five pokeballs to catch this guy, at 1 hp too! His nature was Mild which is perfect.

[The reason I caught a Magby is because I thought it would be fun to have him evolve into Magmar during this, Magby can still evolve into Magmar even though he's hacked in right?]

Blew threw the Varidian forest and came out level 12. Went to fight Brock. Took down his little buddy blocking the way, barely. Leveled to 13.

Brocks Geodude went down, and then his Onyx rocked my world. But I still got some good experience. I kept going back and dying because that Geodude was the only way to get decent exp at this point. After hitting level 15 I went back for a truely epic battle.

Magby leads with Ember, not very effective.
Onyx uses Rock Tomb (the move he kept OHKOing me with)
Magby hung on with 3 hp and burned Onyx in the process. Used potion.
Onyx used tackle.
Magby used Ember.
Onyx used bind.
Magby used potion.

That went on for a while until the burn finally wore him down. It was pretty tough believe me.

Magby lvl 16

Done with my Ultimate Blastoise Solo Challenge (Red-->Gold-->Ruby-->Platinum)!

This last leg was fun, albeit a bit long. I suppose it would have been faster using Diamond, but I only have that in cartridge form, which wouldn't have helped too much. Overall, I've enjoyed the challenge. While it hasn't been particularly challenging, I've enjoyed getting to use my favorite Pokemon to play the games, particularly the ones where Blastoise normally has to be traded in.

Perhaps I'll do another one of these solo runs at some point, but I doubt I'll have time soon.

Best of luck to everyone with runs! By the way, to the above poster about the Magmar run, I'm not sure that Magby will be able to evolve in that game until you get the National Dex, which could be a problem. Not sure about that, though.

January 26th, 2011, 9:17 AM
Hey I'm going to try to get back into this I'm doing an Ultimate Challenge I've already beat Kanto and am in Johto I'm doing Duskull to Dusknoir in games avalible I hope my challenge is still valid it's been a long while since my last update but here's my Current Team Progress and Location

January 26th, 2011, 6:10 PM
Hatching.. dratini.. egg... 10k steps.. DIE.

January 29th, 2011, 11:31 PM
Game: Diamond
Pokemon: Piplup
I won't be evolving it.

January 30th, 2011, 1:31 AM
This sounds cool, I'm going to use feraligatr for firered/Gold/Ruby!

January 30th, 2011, 2:54 AM

With who?

Charizard.. Hands down

Starting where?

Fire Red

Other places?

Starting when?

Combine the challenge?

Let's make it a nuzlocke combo!!

Nuzlocke combo meaning I can only use pokecenters no healing in battle

Catching pokemon I don't have to worry about

I must nickname my pokemon (Hothead in respect of my actual nuzlocke)

And if he faints he's dead.. and since this is a solo it also means I fail and must start again..

Hothead is already Lv 18 haven't learned about catching pokemon yet though.. thanks to my master grinding skills.. ;)

January 30th, 2011, 9:02 AM
I apologize about my failure to update.
After spending an hour of walking around town, I finally hatched my Dratini. Then, spent 3 days grinding on level 4 pokemon because Santos (My dratini) refused to learn any other moves than wrap, leer, and thunder wave, causing huge ammounts of suck. However, once he learned twister things took off completely. I'm currently level 25 with 3 gyms wiped out no sweat.

January 30th, 2011, 12:46 PM
Hello I'd like to sign up for a single solo challenge on FireRed (may turn into an ultimate depending on how much fun I have with this one)

The pokemon I will be using is Sableye (possibly one of my favorites) also quick question..... Does my solo for firered end when I beat the elite four a second time or just the first?

January 30th, 2011, 1:28 PM
Hello again..

My FireRed prved to be absolutely no match for Charizard..

And it all seemed like a speed run..

But I accidentally left my game on all night before I woke up so I had 12 extra hours added onto my time -___-

So anyways I blurred through firered mainly with mega punch andscratch.. picked up aerial ace and replaced scratch and killed everything until pokemon league and picked up dragon claw.. Charizard then had a moveset of:

Aerial Ace
Dragon Claw

Dragon claw replacing slash

Destroyed Lorelei with flamethrower(amazingly had 3 OHKOs) and aerial ace..
Left with Hothead only having 82 hp.. things were looking slim

Obviously took out Bruno with aerial ace and earthquake for the ONYXs..
Everything was OHKO so I advance with 82 Health

Agatha blown out by Flamethrower and earthquake..
Damage almost caused from Haunter but a simple confusion was a miss
Iadvance to challenge Lance with 84 health (Hothead levelled to 83)

Gyarados did not prove a problem flamethrower.. almost OHKO
He does dragon rage.. 44hp left..

Hyper pot used by Lance..
Another flamethrower

Lance switch to Aerodactyl
Flamethrower Crit OHKO

Lance to Dragonair
Dragon claw domination

Switch back to gyrados
Aerial ace to kill

Drgonair #2
Dragon claw OHKO

Dragonite for last hope of lance
Luckiest Dragon claw crit timing ever..

Advance to Lavir (rival spelled backwards)

OHKO Pideot Flamethrower

Earthquake by Hothead
Blastoise withdraw
Earthquake by Hothead

Blastoise down

Exeguttor comes out and is demolished by Flamethrower

Alakasam comes out to be invited by another

Charizard is now level 84 with 47 hp(actually I have no clue when this happened I just had a random moment to see stats(darn speed button))

That's was charizards last flamethrower

Breath-Taking moment:

Arcanine used Extremespeed!

Hothead has 11 hp left!!

Second-most breath taking moment:

Hothead used Earthquake!

Critical hit!!

Decade becomes champeen!!!!!

Anyways.. this solo was easier than expected from a nuzlocke style challenge..

But nonetheless.. oh and I'm going to be hacking in Charizard to a normal silver since the speed button seems to be a billion times better than SSand HG so next up.. Jhoto!

The pokemon I will be using is Sableye (possibly one of my favorites) also quick question..... Does my solo for firered end when I beat the elite four a second time or just the first?

Sableye <3
I believe it's the second time.
Might as well update mine..
Secured all my HM Mules - Poliwhirl for Surf, Strength, Rock Smash (Technically not an Hm, whatever), and whirlpool. Farfetch'd for Fly and Cut, and Chikorita for flash. level 38, finally got Dragonair. I have yet to not OHKO a pokemon with slam, which is pretty tasty.

January 31st, 2011, 5:15 PM
Ohh my god. Got to the next to last page and firefox crashed... Here we go again.

Edit: all right. This time, instead of doing it on PC, I made a nifty Excel document with names, pokemon, game, and status. I finished all that stuff, just have to transfer it to PC. But its taken me so long, and I want to play a game or something. Hopefully I'll be feeling better after I finish and I'll update this again.

Congratulations to everyone that finished their challenge
Special congrats to: mamoswineftw, wingman11 x2, and Imperator161 for becoming the newest solo masters!

Hey guys! Long time no see! Anyways, I'm back and healthy again, so let's continue!

Left Cerulean and headed South.
At Vermillion I boarded the SS Anne.
I'm fighting all the trainers in there, swept them with Flamethrower. (lol, it's fun being double the level of your opponent!)
I finally beat Kazzo on my first try, why is it that my dig did less than half to his Wartortle when Flamethrower knocked it out?
I got Cut and got the %$#@ outta there.
Spade evolved into Charizard while I was looking for a Pokemon that can learn Cut :)
I caught a Meowth on Route 6 and named it Timpurr.
Taught Timpurr cut!
Kicked Lt. Surge's ASS with Flamethrower + Dig.
Headed onto Route 7!

Spade / Charizard
Lv. 36 (so close to 37! No joke!)
Secret Power
Wing Attack

Slave / Pidgey
Lv. 6
Sand Attack

Timpurr / Meowth
Lv. 10

Whoo! I finally beat Red! I decided to feed Champ two Rare Candies to boost him to level 90, checked my stock of revives and stuff and climbed the dangerous Mt. Silver. At the top was a quiet young man with outrageously powerful Pokemon. I killed off his Pikachu is one hit (Champ is faster than a Pikachu?). His Venusaur then took up the fight and was a PAIN IN THE REAR. After several revives and Venusaur killing off both my HM slaves at least once, I was able to return the favour and verse Blastoise. He was a bit of a pain, but he couldn't really hurt me that badly...Lapras was next. Ugh, Psychic. Lapras is no longer allowed to use that. Snorlax and Charizard were both uneventful. And with that...I had beaten Red! So now, my challenge is complete.

Level 90, Hardy Nature, Loves to Eat
Knows Waterfall, Crunch, Ice Fang, and Earthquake

February 4th, 2011, 8:50 PM
Hey, I'd like to start your solo challenge. I'd be using Gengar on Ruby and trading him in at level 5. I'll keep you updated on my progress (:

February 5th, 2011, 1:55 PM
Just hit level 50..
Taking suggestions for Dragonite in Original Silver Movesets to help me not fail the Elite 4!
Anways, I get mega rage mode whenever I battle my rival because he's got a flippin' shiny Sneasel and I just wanna chuck balls till I die. Hah.
7 Badges now. Just finished off Team Rocket in the Goldenrod Radio tower with ease.

Well, my Mawile USC is on hold for now, having a bit of trouble with the DS series of games, but I've decided to start a new one.

Now, think to yourself what the most annoying pokemon from all the generations is. Or pokemon family:

Zubat, Golbat and Crobat!

Yes, our favourite batty pokemon are going to be the focus of this new challenge. i don't think anyone has yet to do this, so hopefully this will be unique (like Mawile and Lickitung/Lickilicky...)

ANYWAY, rambling aside, I completed the Leaf Green portion today (VBA speed toggle ftw). Using A-Starter, I modified the starters and chose Zubat (Squirtle), and Douche chose Bulbasaur. Since Zubat only starts with Leech Life, I modified it so that she was holding TM 47 Steel Wing - only way I would ever be able to defeat the wild pokemon and first gym. Unfortunately, my screenies from the first 6 gyms/Silph Co. were lost, so I don't have many left.

Bite destroyed Sabrina here, with an Aerial Ace for good measure vs Venomoth

I still had Steel Wing in my moveset here, so the Rhyhorns were easy stuff. The rest I just Aerial Aced/Bit to death

Just some pre-E4 stats. Taught Batty Giga Drain in place of Steel Wing

Giga Drains, some HP Electric and Bite for Jynx/Slowbro gave me the win here. Lapras was a bit of a pain though, with Lorelei using Hyper Potions quite regularly

Hehe. A Giga Drain for each Onix, 3 Aerial Aces and Bob's your uncle. Didn't even bother healing after Lorelei, the Giga Drains fully healed my health

Used Bite on all the pokemon here, 2HKOs on both Gengars, Arbok and HER Golbat. Used a Hyper Potion at the end and went onto Lance.

HP Electric for Gyarados/Aerodactyl. Aerial Ace was underpowered against Dragonair due to the Intimidate, so I switched to Snorlax to soak up some hits while using a Full Restore. Then Aerial Aced my way through both Dragonairs. Dragonite hit me with a bunch of Outrages, but Batty is pretty bulky, and she took the hits easily. Heal up, use and Elixir, and onto Douche

HP-electric for Gyarados/Pidgeot, Bite for Alakazam/Arcanine, Giga Drain for Rhydon and a few Aerial Aces to finish off Venusaur. Easy as Pi (3.1415926......)

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS! Batty was absolutely legendary, though can't say that I'm loathe to wait for the DS generations and the improved movesets. Plus it was really annoying how she couldn't evolve after level 37, so for the next 51 levels I had to be faced with the disappointment of a confused Batty...

So, I'll either play Silver version or Sapphire next, might even do Soul Silver if I can solve my emulator problems.

Got to Level 58, Evolved to Dragonite, moveset currently of Dragonbreath, Return, Wing Attack, and Ice punch. I'm very very very reluctant to challenge the elite four yet, because I'm pretty sure I'm destined to lose. Is there any way at all to get into Kanto before challenging the Elite 4?

Nope, gotta beat the Elite Four. I think you'll be fine, just use items if you have to.

Nope, gotta beat the Elite Four. I think you'll be fine, just use items if you have to.

JD is right, 58 is plenty high to take on the Johto elite four, and since you have Ice Punch dragonbreath isn't really needed. Perhaps Thunderpunch in place of Dragonbreath/Return if you're really too worried, but I'm thinking you'll be fine.

February 7th, 2011, 1:35 PM
Lol, elite 4 was a complete joke, wiped them all out, only Fortress and Slowbro weren't OHKO, and I didn't use any of the 53 Full Restores that I spent all my money on. 6x now, I think I'm into the later levels, completely smeared Lt. Surge. I'm getting confused about where's where in Kanto though. Every npc is telling me this and that and gah.

February 7th, 2011, 2:20 PM
Putting my challenge on hold for a while, currently in the middle of a UMC and I don't want challenges to start getting confusing.

February 9th, 2011, 4:09 PM
As of yesterday, I have officially defeated Red with my level 77 Dragonite. Bow chica wow-wow. Now time to start exp-share leeching some of my other suckfest pokemon.

February 9th, 2011, 11:14 PM
With Valentine's Day approaching, I think I'm gonna give a Luvdisc solo of FireRed a shot.

February 11th, 2011, 3:04 PM
Oh , this looks fun :D

I'm going to use Absol for my runs, if that's okay.

I'm going to do Fire Red -> Soul Silver -> Emerald -> Platinum

February 11th, 2011, 4:56 PM
So, I've decided to do another solo run, on Emerald this time, because I miss Hoenn. ):

Name/Trainer: Zhinc
Pokemon: Torchic and its evolutions
Game: Emerald

Edit: After almost two hours of gameplay, I'm on the beach just south of Slateport with two badges and a lovely Combusken. (:

Level 22, Sassy-natured
Scratch, Peck, Double Kick, Ember

February 11th, 2011, 9:09 PM
Alright, so remember how I said that I wanted to continue from my already completed Yellow solo challenge and turn it into an Ultimate? I will now start doing that. I plan on beginning very soon, probably tomorrow. :P

February 11th, 2011, 11:13 PM

Ok so I haven't updated yet but I've done heaps! Me and my Gengar are nearly at the elite 4, sorry I haven't kept track of whta I've done, but I've played Ruby so many times I can speed through it. Anyways, here's my team:

Gengar: Lvl 67

Moves: Brick Break, Shadow Puch, Shadow Ball, Hypnosis

Stats: HP - 186, Attack - 122, Defense - 115, Sp. Atck - 219, Sp. Df - 130, Speed - 176

The my HM/TM Slaves:

Moves: Strength, Fly, Flash, Sweet Scent

Moves: Cut, Rock Smash, Secret Power, Surf

Moves: Waterfall, Surf, Dive, Dig

I will notify when I beat elite 4 :)

February 13th, 2011, 12:32 AM
2nd generation portion of challenge complete. Will move on to Hoenn soon.

Alright, so beginning the Johto portion of my ultimate solo challenge with Arctic the Dewgong.

*Named myself Inferno, went to Mr. Pokemon's house after choosing Totodile, etc. The normal stuff.
*After doing all of that, I go and catch my Seel (can't obtain until Whirl Islands, and that is far too late in the game)
*I headbutt my way to level 10. (I can't learn anything good until Aurora Beam at level 16.)
*I take down Falkner at level 14. I go through Union Cave, learn Aurora Beam, and take down Team Rocket in the well.
*Bugsy is defeated at level 21. Arctic is having an easy time with everything. I defeat my Rival.
*At level 24, nearly 25, Arctic defeats Whitney. On to Morty!
*After training Arctic to level 34, it evolves into Dewgong. When that happens, I defeat Morty.
*I travel through the Lighthouse, and then go to Cianwood. I am sure to get the Secretpotion, and defeat Chuck. Arctic is at level 39.
*Arctic OHKO's all of Jasmine's pokemon. She's at level 40 at this point.
*Arctic is nearly at level 46 when she defeats Pryce. I get a call about suspicious radio activity...better check it out.
*I clear out the Radio Tower, and proceed.
*Ice Beam totally wrecks Clair's team. Arctic is just destructive at level 54. I save at this point and call it a day.

*next day since I can't double post*

*Pokemon League is defeated easily at level 61.
*Red is taken down at level 74.

February 13th, 2011, 1:43 PM
Heres my entry:
Game: HeartGold
Ok, this should be fun.

February 14th, 2011, 6:26 AM
So, I went off to beat up Team Aqua at the Museum in Slateport, where I finally met their leader. Crazy idiot. I start heading north and happen upon a little house with a strange man inside. I complete his puzzle and get some little token for it. Since I don't have a bike, I take the winding low-rode north to Mauville. I met Bredan on the way and we battled, but it was easy. In Mauville, I run into this Wally kid who I helped catch a Pokemon earlier. I then proceed to thrash him into itty-bitty pieces. After exploring the surrounding areas, I take on the Mauville gym and win easily. A couple more lose ends (and an evolved Pokemon later), I make my way to Fallabour Town. Met some girl at the Pokemon Centre who apparently made the Pokemon storage system where most of the Pokemon I caught early on are. Cool. I'm now on the road to this place called Meteor Falls; hopefully, there's a way to the next gym somewhere near there...

February 14th, 2011, 7:40 AM
Hey guys, guess what!??! SUPER GIANT UPDATE FOR ALL OF YOU! Everything is updated, I added a couple of notes, took out all the old people who haven't updated in like 2 months, and put in all the new people. Congrats to everyone who completed the challenge!

February 16th, 2011, 1:28 PM
I think I may be one of the people who haven't updated in around 2 months but just in case, I'm putting this challenge on hold again, mostly due to lack of motivation but I got my options choices 'n' stuff coming up soon...
Real world sucks... xD

February 16th, 2011, 9:48 PM
I've just gotten the Cut HM, and I've backed up my save to start another solo run, this time with Carvanha (Kibania). I'm NOT looking forward to the grass gym. :|

February 17th, 2011, 8:30 PM
I'm back! Out of boredom, I'm going to sign up for another Pokémon Black version solo run. And the Pokémon I'm going to use will be the awesome Scolipede line. (I.E. Venipede/Futsude - Whirlipede/Hoiiga - Scolipede/Pendoraa) The reason: I've been finding myself being attracted to Bug types recently, especially the ones in the fifth generation. The main ones being Scolipede, Galvantula, Escavalier, Accelgor, and Durant. Outside of gen V, I really like Scyther, Pinser, Heracross, and Armaldo. I'm considering doing an Ultimate with one of them, but later.

Anyway, on to the challenge at hand.

-Started the game and went through the boring intro stuff
-Caught a Venipede and nicknamed it Venom (Yeah, I know what you're thinking. "Real creative, there." Well, you try nicknaming it a creative name with only five characters. No, seriously, try. New nicks are welcome.)
-Trained her (yes, her) up to level 13 and took on N
-Beat N with Rollout
-Got the Running Shoes
-Trained to level 17 (? Can't quite recall)
-Beat Belle with no problems (Rollout worked wonders through every other battle, too)
-Entered Sanyouu City and went to the Trainer School
-Beat Cheren (again, Rollout)
-Entered the Gym
-Battle with Dento (Chose Oshawott for Surf purposes later)
-Rollout blasted through both Lillipup and Pansage (only took one hit for Pansage, even with the resistance)
-Got the Trio Badge
-Went to the Dream Ruins
-Saved Munna
-Grinded endlessly to level 22, when Venom evolved into a Whirlipede
-Got the C-Gear
-Heading towards the next Gym now

February 20th, 2011, 1:33 AM

I haven't updated in a while. =/ Anyway, Blaziken and I have finally defeated the Elite Four. Our worst struggle was with Wallce. His Milotic used Toxic and kept using recover, and his Gyrados used several Dragon Dances that increased the power of his Earthquake, so I just had to keep reviving and using Full Restores until Earthquake was out of PP before taking him down. Now, I'm going to figure out where Steven is...I have yet to defeat him, afterall.

February 21st, 2011, 11:28 AM
Update #3 on Emerald.

- Surfed to Ever Grande City, then made my way through Victory Road. Taught Palin Psychic in there.
- Then I beat the Elite Four and Wallace! Lots of OHKOs.
- Saved the game on the S.S. Tidal after I teleported back home.

OHKOs all except for Magneton, who walls Palin's moveset.

- Time for the Elite Four!

Thunderbolt for Mightyena and Crawdaunt, Return for Shiftry, Cacturne and Absol.

Crunch for everyone except Sableye, who survived Thunderbolt to Faint Attack Palin.

Forgot to heal, but it didn't matter. Thunderbolt for both Sealeo and Walrein, Return for both Glalie.

Return for Shelgon, Psychic for both Flygon, 2 Psychics each for Salamence, Altaria, and Kingdra.

Thunderbolt for Wailord, Psychic for Tentacruel, 2 Psychics for Whiscash, Return for Ludicolo, Thunderbolt for Gyarados, and 2 Thunderbolts for Milotic.

Yay! Steven, you're next!

I am on the way to the Battle Frontier, and I will eventually fight Steven in Meteor Falls.

Final Update (#4) on Emerald.

- So I beat the trainers on the SS Tidal, then I flew to Pacifidlog Town and battled all the trainers along the sea currents. I had totally forgotten they were there lol.
- While surfing along, Latias came up! I captured it with the Master Ball.

- After defeating all the trainers I could find, I went to Meteor Falls. Defeated a couple trainers in there as well, and Palin was at L85.
- Also taught Palin Earthquake, replacing Crunch, and gave him the Soft Sand I had been lugging around since Slateport lol.
- Found Steven!

So here's a play by play, as well as I can remember:
Palin VS Skarmory: Thunderbolt, Spikes, Fell Restore (Skarmory) Thunderbolt, Thunderbolt, Skarmory fainted!
VS Armaldo: Psychic, AncientPower, Psychic, Armaldo fainted!
VS Claydol: Return, Earthquake, Return, Claydol fainted!
VS Aggron: Earthquake, (took in sunlight!), Earthquake, Aggron fainted!
VS Cradily: Psychic, AncientPower, Psychic, Ingrain, Full Restore (Cradily), Psychic, Full Restore (Palin), AncientPower, Psychic, AncientPower, Psychic, Cradily fainted!
Palin grew to L86!
VS Metagross: Earthquake (critical hit!), Metagross fainted!

Final Stats:

Well, I have to say that Emerald ended up being a lot of fun. Gonna play on Diamond or Platinum for Sinnoh.

Team Gerry (Final):
Palin the Sassy Girafarig, ♂ - L86 @ Soft Sand
Ability: Early Bird
Moves: Return, Thunderbolt, Earthquake, Psychic

February 23rd, 2011, 4:12 AM

I started my journey named k137an
chose a totodile as my starter, i left my house and began to travel towards cherrygrove town on the way totodile got to level 6 and when i arrived at mr.pokemons house with my new running shoes totodile was level 7, professor oak gave me a pokedex and mr.pokemon gave me the pokemon egg and i left the house. as i came out the door i got a phone call from prof elm, he told me that a chikorita had been stolen from the lab, which i dont understand because he stands right at the back of the lab facing the door so how did my rival get past him???

any way i left the route with mr pokemons house on it and arrived back in cherrygrove, i used the pokemon centre and left cherrygrove, well i tried but a boy with red haired boy ran up to me told me that the pokemon was wasted on me which technically is true because i was going to trade him for a dratini as soon as i finished the really long opening to this game. i defeated the red haired trainer and he told me i was a waste of space again and then he ran but i stole his trainer card ( am i some kind of ninja) unfortunately he noticed and took it back.

when i arrived back in new bark town i spoke to professor elm and the police officer thought i was the thief! convieniently timed as always lyra ran in and told the officer about a red haired boy looking into the building, i said i battled a boy like that and i knew his name (not mentioning that i stole his trainer card) and for some reason i called my rival :0

February 23rd, 2011, 8:27 PM
Alright, Hoenn time.

*Mudkip is starter, then I get Seel at Route 103.
*Went to Petalburg, helped Wally get Ralts.
*Traveled through the Petalburg Woods, save the guy from a Magma Grunt.

February 25th, 2011, 8:41 AM
OK! I made quite a bit of distance since my last update, and I'm all the way to Sekka City or whatever it's called now. Here's how it went down (spoilers for those who don't wanna know)

-Stopped Team Plasma in a cave
-Arrived in Shippou City
-Grinded Venom more until she evolved into a Scolipede
-Took on the Gym Leader Aloe and won easily
-Stopped Team Plasma in the forest and retrieved the dragon's skull
-Traveled to Hiun/Castelia City
-Explored, then took on Gym Leader Arty and won with Rollout
-Rescued Belle's stolen Munna from Team Plasma
-Battled and beat both Belle and Cheren
-Arrived in Raimon City
-Took on N again and won
-Entered the Gym and beat her
-Traveled to Hodome City and kicked Team Plasma out of the Freezer Container
-Took on the Gym Leader Yakon and won
-Went into Thunder Stone Cave and found N
-Traveled through the cave, battled N, and won with no problems
-Arrived in Fukiyose City
-Went to the Tower of Heavens and found the Leader there
-Returned to take on her Gym, winning with Rock Tomb
-Beat Cheren again, got surf, and did some exploring to get the TM for Rock Slide, Poison Jab, and X-Scissor and taught them to Venom
-Venom's Final Moveset (Before First E4 Challenge): Poison Jab, X-Scissor, Rock Slide, and Level Ground
-Traveled to Sekka City through Mt. Neji
-Took on the Gym Leader there and won using Rock Slide

And that brings us to where I am now. Another update coming soon!

February 26th, 2011, 8:21 AM
Hooray, I beat Steven. /late I wandered around Meteor Falls for a bit until I finally found him. Ugh, I hate that most of his Pokemon know Earthquake; it was really getting annoying. But, I somehow managed to beat him with a bunch of revives and the sheer force of my awesome Blaziken. (:
Level 76
Sassy Natured
Slash, Earthquake, Sky Uppercut, Flamethrower

Hello Combined Pokemon Solo Challenge Thread, this is heLLkitsune with his first post in this thread. I'm doing the Ultimate Solo Challenge with my all time favorite pokemon, all hail the great http://pokebeach.com/scans/gym-challenge/9-koga%27s-beedrill.jpg

I got attached to this pokemon when I was way younger, when pokemon cards were cool :P (sry all Pokemon TCGamers, but I don't like the new cards).I was the champion in my city with the help of this card and that's how it got into my heart.

yeah that's right, I started the challenge with the awesome bee and I have decided that I'm going to play the games in this order: Leaf Green , Soul Silver/Heart Gold , Emerald , Platinum and I'm not sure if I can beat the 5th gen because I don't own a copy of Black nor White.

Although I beat Leaf Green already, I'm not going to post the whole journey right away.

Stay tunned..

I shall be doing a runthrough of Firered with Venonat/Venomoth :D

February 27th, 2011, 8:47 PM
Alright, I'll try to put more effort into this update. xP

* Trained Arctic until he got to level 17, when he learned Icy Wind. I then took on the gym, defeating all the Geodudes easily and ko'ing Roxanne's Nosepass. That's one badge under my belt.
* I defeat the Magma Grunt, and get Peeko back to Mr. Briney. I then head to Dewford.
*I deliver Steven's Letter, and recieve Steel Wing. I train a bit more in order to learn Aurora Beam. I then defeat Brawly.
* Slateport City is the next destination. Team Magma is defeated there, once again. Defeating Brendan and several other trainers along the way, I go to Mauville. Wally and his Ralts are defeated as well.
*I train a whole ton with both trainers and wild Pokemon to evolve Arctic into a Dewgong. I take on Wattson, and he is defeated.
* I quickly progress to Fallabor Town, and then Meteor Falls, where I see both Team Magma and Aqua. They all run off to Mt. Chimney, so I go there as well. I take the way back that I came, and head up using the Cable Car. Team Magma ends up in defeat, so I take the Meteorite and head to Lavaridge Town, where I save inside the gym.

Arctic (Dewgong) Lv. 38
Icy Wind, Rest, Headbutt, Aurora Beam

heLLkitsune, KANTO, 1st entry:

- erased the old save file which contained a NFE run (had 3 pokemon on 42 level and 3 pokemon on 24 level before the 4th gym, I was overtraining them a bit) and started a new game
- told Prof. Oak that I'm a boy.. wait a second *checks himself in the mirror*.. Yes, I'm a boy
- called my fictional character heLL15
- and my journey began
- prof. Oak stopped me from going into the tall grass and called me to his lab
- he let me choose a Pokemon from the 3 pokeballs he had on the table
- I wanted to take Squirtle because Blastoise is awesome, but then I remembered my goal: "To be the greatest Beedrill trainer in the world"
- so for making my journey more of a challange I chose Bulbasaur as my starter
- Gary (my rival) chose quite the opposite, he took Charmander a fire type, who evolves into Charizard, a Fire/Flying type Pokemon who has 2 STABs super effective against Beedrill
- we had a battle with our new Pokemon, and sadly for me, Bulbasaur died from a critical hit (first death)
- went to Viridian City and got into the shop, ran the errand for prof. Oak and got myself a pokedex and 5 Pokeballs
- went into Viridian Forest to catch my Powerhouse
- I caught the first Weedle that came across, named it Anger and it turned out to be a hell of a Weedle (yay for Adamant nature)
- began Anger's training, first with babysitting with my Bulbasaur, then training Anger on it's own
- soon enough, Anger evolved into a Kakuna and eventually into Beedrill
- went west from Viridian and had a little battle with Gary and of course I won
- got to Pewter city and challenged the 1st Gym leader Brock
- beat him with a tactic that I was using with Butterfree in an another game, the tactic was like this: Harden six times when the Geodude hardens too, and then poison it with Poison powder, although Anger didn't have Poison powder, it took me some PP of Poison Sting to poison him and kill him, and then poison Onix and potion stall it until it dies
- got my first badge and got running shoes
- made my way through Mt. Moon beating every wild pokemon that appeared and every trainer that I came across
- after some time, I got out of Mt. Moon and got to Cerulean City
- beat Misty easily because Anger was in the mid 20 levels and it knew Twineedle
- met Gary at the begining of the Nugget Bridge and Anger died for the first time, because it missed three times with Fury Attack and Pidgeotto didn't have a hard time killing it with Gust
- I healed up at the Pokecentre and was going to get revenge
- and soon enough I tasted the sweet taste of revenge
- went to Bill and helped him turn back into a human (cmon man, what were you thinking?? )

my team at this state of the game (I don't remember the exact level of my Beedrill and I didn't write it down, how rude of me):

Anger the Beedrill, ♀ @ -
Level 25-30
Ability: Swarm

- 59162 Twineedle
- 59164 Poison Sting
- 59163 Fury Attack
- 59163 Focus Energy

HM slaves:

- 59163 Cut

February 28th, 2011, 9:57 PM
i couldn't get into my venonat run so i will be doing an ultimate solo run with heracross
firered crystal ruby and pearl

March 1st, 2011, 10:26 AM
I did one on Blue just now.

My goal: end the game as fast as possible and buy a Porygon at the Game Corner at the end.

I ended with:

Jessica the Blastoise lv 88
Ice Beam
Body Slam

Attack: 215
Defense: 235
Speed: 197
Special: 232

My slaves were: Sandshrew (strength), Bellsprout (cut), Drowzee (flash), Farfetch'd (Fly).

I counted 19 Pokemon center trips, 2 rests during Silph Co. Mission and one Pallet Town rest.

Game Time: 46:00
Real Time: 2:20 or so
Money (after Porygon purchase): 246,948
Pokedex: Seen 129, Own 12

I want to do a 150 Pokedex challenge using combined Red/Blue games and emulator trading but today was my first day off in a while, lol.

March 2nd, 2011, 5:51 PM
Completed Ruby, will move on to Platinum or Pearl soon.

New Update:

- I go ahead and defeat Flannery quite easily.
- I head on over to Petalburg once again, taking the route I used to get to Lavaridge back. The Rusturf Tunnel comes in handy.
- Defeating all of of the trainers in the gym, and head back out to heal up, and take on Norman.
- I receive the badge from Norman, and head outside to the house next door to obtain Surf. I teach it to Arctic ASAP. Then, I Surf through the route north of Oldale Town, and go to Mauville. I take this way to get to Fortree, grinding and gaining several levels on the way there.
- I defeat Magma at the institute, as well as Brendan. Both are easy matters. I run off to see Steven, and now I can access the gym.
- Winona is defeated. Aurora Beam wrecks her team. Next gym! :D
- I walk over to the rainy route. I defeat the trainers there, and advance. Soon, Team Magma is spotted heading to Mt. Pyre. I heal up in Lilycove, then I backtrack and go after the villains. They are defeated, and I fly to Slateport to see what is going on. They steal the submarine explorer, so I head to their base.
- The base is cleared out, but they escape to Seafloor Cavern. Oh well, on to Mossdeep.
(took the screenshot too late, xD)
- Liza and Tate are taken out quite easily, thanks to Surf. Although, Sunny Day still made it a bit drawn out. Now we travel to the Seafloor Cavern.
- I defeat Maxie and the other Magmas, and the agitated Groudon goes on a rampage. I head to Sootopolis to see what's up.
- Steven and Wallace tell me to go into the Cave of Origin, so I go in, and capture Groudon, just for the heck of it.
-I now am able to battle Wallace.
-I now have my eight badges, so it's off to Ever Grande. Ugh...Victory Road.
- I manage to make it through Victory Road pretty easily, thanks to all the Max Repels I bought earlier. I take this time to train to at least level 70, so that sweeping the E4 would be quite simple. Arctic's PP totals are pretty low, getting a total of 40 when added all together, so I figured that having such a high level would be necessary. Plus, there were no PP restoring items that I had. (I never picked any berries)
- Finally, I'm ready for the league. Glacia is a bit of a pain, because I had to Headbutt by way to victory against her Sealeos and her Walrein. I manage to make it, and totally wreck Drake's team with Ice Beam. At last, the final battle begins.
- By this time, I am extremely low on PP, so I didn't know if I would make it alright. But I did. :D I just had to replace Headbutt (which had no PP left, thanks to Glacia) with Waterfall.
Arctic defeats the Champion, completing this portion of the ultimate solo run.

Final Stats:
Arctic (Dewgong) Lv. 76
Ice Beam, Surf, Waterfall, Aurora Beam

March 3rd, 2011, 3:27 AM

Corrected me If I'm wrong. So in order to do an Ultimate Challenge do I have to win a game from every map, that means I could do Fire Red, Ruby and Crystal?. Or does it mean do every game from a map like, Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, Fire Red, Leaf Green?

Anyway, I will start by playing on Crystal with a Hitmonlee.

Update #1:

• Called myself Ray
• Picked a Chikorita to HM Slave (Cut and Flash), because is so darn cute.
• I feel like putting nicknames for the first time so I decided to call Chikorita "Abed", just because I'm a fan of Community. : D
I was gonna called him Juliette (LOST) but I noticed that he was a male.
• I did the whole quest and then came back after defeating the opponent. Called him Dumb. Lack of inspiration.
• Finally got PokeBalls. And caught the Hitmonlee, level 2; male. Called him JeffWinger. Oh well.
• Grinded with JeffWinger until level 11, and he learned Rolling Kick.
• Went to challenge the first gym leader

• Then the tower that was north.

• Next town, I saved the day by rescuing Slowpokes.

• Togepi was born, I called him Shirley. Choosed with my guts.

• Then defeated my rival "Dumb".
Note: Hitmonlee cant do nothing against Ghastly so I used Chikorita to defeat Ghastly.

• JeffWinger made me win my second badge.

• Then the third.
PS: I saw the Name Rater while I was in town. He uses the same lines in every game? Besides, Name Rater?, the Name Changer for crying out loud.

• Then next town, and I defeat the Kimono Girls.

• Again defeated "Dumb", this time his Haunter couldnt be defeated by my still LV13 Chikorita. But then I picked Togepi and Haunter did a Curse I think? and fainted himself.
The rest were baits to JeffWinger.

• So this Ghost situation, the next gym is ghost only and Hitmonlee cant stand to them. What should I do?
Problem Solved!
I taught MudSlap to JeffWinger. Success.
And I guess that Morty's ghosts are stronger than my Opponent's one.

• I grinded and battled every pokemon trainer on my way to Olivine.
I caught a LV 20 Krabby to Surf. Called him Sawyer. He looked like an outlaw.
• We swimmed to Cianwood, I saw Suicune and a Mystical man challenged me.

• Got the medicine and brought it to Olivine, then go after the gym leader.

• I didnt have a Pokemon that could learn Strength so I went to a cave, one thing let to another and I ended up catching the orange Gyarados. (just for fun of having the "orange Gyarados").
• Some Lance dude make me helped him with his plans to avoid Team Rocket's plans to being executed.
• So we saved the day and I obtained Whirlpool. And as long I was in town.

• Then I traveled all the way to Cianwood.
(Now I got a Machamp to move rocks, I called him MrEcko, RIP)

• Team Rocket took over Goldenrod.
PS: Bought 9 Proteins with the money I had. But it didnt have any effect. Then I bought one of each with the money I got left and use it all on JeffWinger.
• Now the Radio Tower. Went all in. Beat all the thugs, even the chief in charge.

• I went to the Underground, then "Dumb" found me.

• Obtained the Card Key.
• Then I saved the day again by defeating the Team Rocket Executives.
• I went to the Thin Tower, they allowed me in and then test me.
• Couldnt capture Suicuine with any of my Great Balls. So I just defeated him.
• Long time later... The last gym. Sore loser Clair.

• Taught Waterfall to Gyarados.
• Taught Fly to some Pidgey I catch at New Bark Town.
• Then I surf to Kanto!. Walk to and trough Victory Road. Defeated "Dumb".

• Grinded on Victory Road until level 80.
• Then to the Elite Four.
The first two were kinda hard but I passed them.
The next two were easy, OHKO FTW.
I didnt know that I was gonna face Lance with the same status that before and I didnt recover. Dont matter, it was easy too, Hitmonlee had good defense against his Dragonaits, the rest suffered from THKO.

• I gotta admit that this is the first time I got here on Crystal. It was exciting to see what was next.
Then the credits. If I havent read that you have to visit Kanto, I honestly will let the game alone believing that that was the end.
• Onto SS. Anne. Then I arrived to Vermilion. That Machop is still preparing the land.
• First victim: LT. Surge.

• The Pokemon Fan Club Leader gave me my third rare candy.
• Now, next victim: Sabrina.

• Erika's turn:

• Now Misty
PS: What was she doing on a date? I tought she was the non-attractive sister.

• After defeating Snorlax, is Brock's time.

• Now I walk and walk until I arrived to Fuchsia and defeated its gym leader.

• I talked to Blue, he was... blue, lol; yeah, I'm bad with jokes.
I challenged Blaine.
Seriously every Kanto trainer so far (gym leader, whatever) is easier than changing channels.

• Now Gary... I mean Blue.
I defeated his egocentric being. And this is still a piece of cake.

• I accidentally fought the Elite Four again believing that I had to enter there to meet Red.
• Then I went from Victory Road to Mt. Silver.
• He didnt even say a word. Which was actually so excellent.
His Pikachu got OKHO.
His Espeon also.
And his Charizard actually kill my Hitmonlee. Gosh

• What next?
Well, I give Hitmonlee my three rare candies and he grow until level 97.
And now I grind, defeating the Elite Four. And getting a shot at Hitmonlee in th Hall Of Fame which I not got before because I did not take my finger of the space bar.

• I grind after and then I achieved finally level 100!!
Now onto Red.
I defeat his Pikachu and Espeon easily.
Then his Charizard got OHKO with one Mega Kick.
After a Mega Kick and Rolling Kick, I defeated his Snorlax.
His damn Snorlax left me paralyzed and I didnt do anything against his Venusaur.

• The third is the charm?
His Pikachu, Espeon and Charizard, OHTK!
One Mega Kick left his Snorlax with 1HP. His Snorlax Body Slammed my Hitmonlee, no big damage but paralyzes him.
One Jump Kick and bye bye bye Snorlax.
One Mega Kick, OHTK for Venusaur.
Now Blastoise.
That damn Paralysis played me wrong again.

• This time I bought some Paralysis Healer.
• It happened everything again except for the Paralysis.
With no Paralysis, two Roller Kicks and good bye Blastoise.
I was hoping for Red to say something ) :

March 13th, 2011, 9:04 AM
trained for a while south of violet city and union cave

March 14th, 2011, 1:22 AM
@Marokin I don't believe that you are allowed to change part way if it is an ultimate because you need to use 1 pokemon for all of them.

http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/a/aa/Ani330MS.pngFlygon Solo Runhttp://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/a/aa/Ani330MS.png

Chapter 1:
I started the challenge, listened to Birch's intro. When he asked me what my name was, I named myself Shinji. After the rest of the introduction, I was in a truck. When I got out of the truck, I saw my new home. I started the clock, saw Dad on TV and I saw May. As I head north of town, some kid said there is someone in trouble. I headed to Route 101 and saw a Poochyena chasing Birch. He told me to pick a Pokèmon and I picked Flygon (hacked in). After saving Birch, he wanted me to go to his lab. He asked me if I wanted to nickname Flygon, but I said no. He wanted me to see May. I decided to train my Flygon to level 7. After training Flygon, I went to Oldale Town, went north to the route and saw May. She battled me using a Torchic and I sent out an ordinary level 7 Flygon. I used Sand Tomb and she used other attacks. I went back to the lab, got a 'dex and some Pokèballs. I went to the route east of Oldale Town and battled trainers. Flygon grew to level 11 after beating three trainers. I headed for Petalburg City, went inside the gym and helped Wally catch a Ralts. After battling a rich boy, I healed up and headed straight for Petalburg Woods. Then I saw a person looking for a Shroomish, and found a Magma Grunt, I beat the Magma Grunt and caught my first HM Slave, Slakoth, which I nicknamed, "HM SLAVE" I escaped Petalburg Woods and made it to Rustboro City with a level 13 Flygon.
Chapter 2:
After exploring Rustboro City, I caught another HM Slave, a Wingull! After catching the Wingull, I went to the trainer's school to get a Quick Claw. After talking to random people, I decided to challenge the gym. I battled the trainers and both of the trainers used Geodude. Flygon is now level 16. And I will start the battle against Roxanne.

VS. ROXANNE:http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/7/76/GBA_Trainer_Roxanne.png
-Roxanne sends out Geodude
-I sent out Flygon (obvious)
-Flygon used Bite!
-Geodude used Defense Curl
-Geodude's defense rose!
-Roxanne used Potion
-Geodude restored health
-Flygon used Faint Attack
-Roxanne used Potion
-Geodude restored health
-Flygon used Faint Attack
-Flygon used Faint Attack (again)
-Geodude fainted
-Leader Roxanne sent out Nosepass!
-Flygon used Sand Tomb!
-It's super effective!
-Nosepass was trapped by Sand Tomb!
-Nosepass used Tackle
-Nosepass is hurt by Sand Tomb
-Nosepass used Rock Tomb
-It's not very effective
-Nosepass is hurt by Sand Tomb
-Flygon used Bite
-A critical hit!
-Nosepass fainted.
That wasn't hard, Flygon grew to level 17 in the end of the battle. I received the Stone Badge, TM Rock Tomb and blah her advice. As I go out of the gym, I heard someone said, "Get out! Out of the way!" It was a Devon Person chasing a Magma Grunt. I got HM01 (Cut) and taught it to Slakoth. I healed up, talked to random people, bought some items and yeah.

Definitely sign me up. I'll go with Doduo-Dodrio in FireRed Omega. You can find them legit on Route 1. ^.^

Part 1:
Well, I started off and did all those regular beginning of the game stuffs. You know, got my potion out of the Computer Box, got my starter (picked an elekid), and gave Prof. Oak his stupid parcel. Then I finally got my pokeballs. :3

Ran around on Route 1 for nearly 10 minutes before finding a Doduo. Used a couple Quick Attacks on it and lobbed a pokeball.

Caught it on my first try. FTW. Hopefully, that's a signal of things to come. It's male, and he has a BOLD nature. I don't know what that means, and I honestly don't care. I nicknamed him Kiwi. He is awesome.

I level grinded(ground?) for a while to get Kiwi up to level 11 to be ready for THE CHALLENGES AHEAD, and he learned Pursuit in the process. I decided to skip the rival battle, because his starter's an ice type, and there's no rule regarding it. On to Viridian Forest!

Has anyone ever mentioned that it's really, REALLY fun to utterly decimate bug catchers?

Ran into a Nosepass in Viridian City. It left me with 1 HP after a rock slide. Brock is not going to be fun.

March 26th, 2011, 8:30 AM

March 28th, 2011, 5:42 AM
To Whom it May Concern :

I wanna take on a Pokemon White Challenge.

I have my Audino ready for take off. Got it on dream yard, but it was after the 1st gym. :(

And i was wondering what to do in Pokemon Black/White, cause you couldnt trade (C-Gear or PokeCenter) if you still havent beat the 1st gym. People would be stuck with either of the 3 starters, Purrloin, Patrat and Lillipup. :(

Waiting for confirmation.

March 29th, 2011, 1:04 PM

Update #4
So, I'm in Celedon City. I went down, cut the tree, and got to Erika's Gym.
The second I stepped in, I cried laughed. I will kick your A** with Spade!

First I start off fighting Lass Kay, and she has a Bellsprout.

Then she goes into Weepinbell.

Then another Beauty Bridget.

She had an Oddish.

A Bellsprout

Another Oddish.

Another Bellsprout.

I fight one more trainer, skip the other four, and fight ERIKA!!

Thank you, Flamethrower.

Right-o guys, time for my end of the month update!

Congratulations to jdthebud and Palin for competing their second USC! They have been added to the champions list.

Congratulations to InfernoRogue and Dewgong for completing the 3rd portion of their USC! They have been moved to the 4th leg, Sinnoh. Best of luck

Congratulations to Zhink, emperorsenshi, Rizzy, and FANOFFIRESTARTERS!!! and their Pokemon for completing the Solo Challenge! They have been added to the champions list.

To Ciz: If you are playing with a Pokemon that you cannot obtain until after you can trade, you may beat the first gym with whomever you wish. Just obtain your Solo Runner ASAP after that.

To whomever asked about the games required for a USC: You have to do one for each region (ex: Red, Crystal, Sapphire, Diamond, White; NOT Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, FireRed, Leafgreen.)

Edit: I think I might have left someone out of the regular challengers section. If you make an update in the next month, when I update it I'll throw you back in. My oopsies.

I want to start en EPIC solo run on White, and what's better for this challenge than...

Right. I'll be using this guy ALL the way up to Champion Alder.
And, this will be a special guy, he's coming with some Egg moves.
Will a guy like him doing an epic work like this?

Sorry for the double post.

So, I've started my adventure. My first choice was Oshawott, the best HM Slave.
Then, I went to Route 1 to catch my epic buddy, and what did I got? Jennifer, the wonderful Adamant Patrat.
Me and her, the perfect pair.
Right now, we're out of the City of the Fun, Nimbasa City, on our way to Driftveil City, where the next Gym waits for us.
A few minutes ago, we met our old rival Cheren.

Alright. I just finished the Platinum part of my USC. I didn't feel like doing any major updates, lol. I would have had a screenshot or two of the final battle and stats, but my computer literally overheated right as I won against Cynthia. I kid you not. ;_;
Regardless, I still won the game, just without any screens. But here is Arctic's final stats:

Arctic (Dewgong) Lv. 85
Ice Beam
Aqua Ring
Take Down

I'll be moving on to White now.

I have a question I have a solo run with ludicolo on saphire that is at the elite four could I use that on this?

Right now, me and Jennifer are about to take on the Icirrus Gym.
We did a good training on Routes 17 and 18, right after we got Surf from Alder.
And we got some new HM Slaves.

White Update:

Started the game, named myself Inferno, blah blah.
Chose Snivy for HM reasons, although it's not really that necessary. You don't even really need to use HMs for B/W.
Caught Seel. Named him Arctic.
Arctic defeated Chili at level 15.
I move on, defeating some little kids, Team Plasma, N, etc.
I win against Lenora.
I defeat more Plasmas, get the Dragon Skull back, etc.
I do the same in Castelia City, and I defeat Burgh.
I also defeat Elesa and N in Nimbasa. I rush through Route 5 to Driftveil, capture some Plasmas, and save in the gym.

New update for FRO. :cer_love:

After a long, long time spent level grinding, I got Kiwi up to level 25. Not sure what his moveset was last time, but here it is now.

Kiwi the Doduo
Tri Attack

Brock was a huge jerk. His Onix nearly killed me after some parlyz hax from another one of his mons. Kabuto and Omanyte were rather easy, seeing as they didn't resist Tri Attack. I ran out of Tri Attacks by Onix, but I was able to finish it off with Pursuit. His last Pokemon, Vulpix, was a breath of fresh air, seeing as it didn't resist any of my moves. Thanks to liberal use of potions this battle is won. Hooray for me.

We did it! We defeated the Elite Four! But then, some strange events have occurred, making our fight with the Champion to be postponed... So, about that, let's train for that time! Now exploring Eastern Unova, made a quick stop in all cities for quick healing purposes.

More updates YAY.

Kiwi finally did his little evolution jig, so now he's a big, grown up Dodrio. He still has all the same moves though. I'm on the lookout for TMs. Anyway, in terms of progress, I made my way through Mt. Moon, encountering no resistance. I fought my rival on Nugget Bridge, got the SS Ticket from Bill, beat Misty, and got to Vermillion City, fighting every trainer along the way.

It doesnt matter what order you do it in, just as long as you complete all regions ( Isshu not counted as the english ROM won't be out for ages )

I'm changing mine to a Larvitar run. Much easier to learn moves

It is time... to do some unfinished business.
And, where we have to go, is the Pokèmon League! We have a battle to do, remember?
I heard the Elite Four has powered up... I hope we can do it!

Now finishing the last important battles to do.

EDIT: Ready to take on the Elite Four, for the second time!

The english ROM has been out since the US B/W version has been out - just google it. You need a code to get it to work correctly on no$gba, but I am using a US ROM.

By the way, I will eventually extend both my USC runs with Arcanine and Girafarig on to B/W I hope, but it may not be for a while.

Hello there! I'm back after...um.. A long time? Anyway I haven't managed to replace my stolen DS and haven't been able to play pokemon for quite awhile, however I really want to do the Nidoran-Nidoking ultimate I started right before losing my DS, SO I have decided to emulate all games(I usually just emulated GBA games) on my computer, sadly this means the usual time it takes me to do the runs will be doubled as I have alot less access to my computer then I had to my DS but ow well. Hopefully the speed up button on soul silver will make up for this :).

Anyway as I mentioned I'll be using Nidoran> Nidoking like originally planned however will probably not go through black(or white) in this challenge yet as I've already beaten it twice and haven't even purchased my actual copy for actually playing the game in English or without doing a solo, honestly it's really boring the second time but I'll end up playing it 3 more times(1 for this run, 1 for Kabutops and 1 for a normal play through, which'll probably be a solo run with starter, as is the way I play my new games).

April 7th, 2011, 7:11 AM
I'll try this. I'll do Emerald with Tropius and update later.

This has been surprisingly easy so far XD

- I chose a Bulbasaur, Timid nature and called him gumball
- Beat Gary
- I travelled to Viridian and back with Oak's Parcel
- Made my way through Viridian Forest
- I reached Pewter with Bulbasaur lv 12
- Beat Brock and his chalenger with one move on all the pokemon, Vine Whip
- Moved to lv15 and taught Sleep Powder
- Travelled along Route 3 to Mt. Moon
- Made my way through Mt Moon without fainting.
- Chose Helix Fossil, not that I will use it.
- Reached Curlean City
- battled Misty right away and destroyed her with Razor Leaf/
- battled Gary again.
- Beat Gary
- On my way to see Bill right now

Current playtime: 3 hours on the dot XD
