Hmm... This idea could have easily been more thorough. I really do like the idea of adding outside elements to the games to make them alive again, though!

I might brainstorm more later. :cer_shifty:

Pokémon FireRed Version
Nuzlocke Challenge

Chapter #1 - Road to the Boulderbadge!
Last time I played on FireRed, it wasn't very successful so now I am trying this again. I started off my file and named myself John, and then ran out into the fields but Oak stopped me and took me to his lab. I decided to choose Squirtle, who I named Max. I then took on my rival, Green, and after a Tail Whip I used Tackle until his Bulbasaur fainted.

I then started to head to Viridian City, and on the way ran into my first wild Pokémon, a Pidgey. Sadly, I had no PokéBalls so I couldn't catch it. I found a few other wild Pokémon and Max eventually leveled up to Level 7. I decided I should go to the mart to buy some PokéBalls, but the nice clerk asked me to deliver a Parcel to Oak. I did so and back in Pallet Town, after I delivered the parcel, Oak gave me and Green a PokéDex and 5 PokéBalls. I thanked him and head back to Viridian. On Route 22, I found a wild Mankey, and caught that with my PokéBall and named it Kevin. I grinded it to the same level as Max, Level 9. I wanted one other Pokémon before I faced Green again, so I head to Route 2, where I accidentally killed a wild Rattata. I head into Viridina Forest and caught a Level 3 Caterpie who I named James. While grinding, though, Caterpie collapsed under pressure and died. We took a rest at the Pokémon Center after that very solemn event, and decided that the forces that we had now were enough to take on Green. Alas, they were, but Mankey had very severe cuts and bruises, but the Pokémon Center was able to restore him before anything deadly happened.

We head back into Viridian Forest, giving us all bad memories of our fallen friend, and took out our sadness on every Bug Catcher in there without a problem. We popped out on the northern section of Route 2, and strolled into Pewter City where we healed our injuries. We decided that we should raise our levels a little bit, and after both of the Pokémon were at Level 12, we head into the Pewter Gym, where the Camper was promptly destroyed. We head back to the Pokémon Center one last time, healed, and head to face Brock. Kevin used 4 Karate Chop attacks and it was over. We had won the Boulderbadge!

Challenge accepted. I'll be doing my run in HeartGold, I'm choosing Cyndaquil, and I'll follow the following rules: 1, 3, 5, 6, 7.

Notes: I'll only catch side legends for the pokedex entry.
I'm using an actual DS, so prepare for less pictures and more word walls.

Chapter 1: The Beginning
Obtained a male Cyndaquil, named it Pyro.
I obtain the running shoes.
I'm sure the first Pokemon rule doesn't count since I can't get pokeballs yet.
I named my rival dirt. I'm with a Lv. 7 Male Cynaquil so far.

Time to update my Nuzlocke challenge in Leafgreen! After beating Brock and catching Globus the Pidgey, we ventured cautiously into the cold and threatening Mt. Moon...

Progress so far:

We gained a new friend in Mt. Moon - not a Zubat, but a male Geodude! His name is Ravel, and he was invaluable in mowing down the hordes of winged frustration.
Eld the Beedrill had a dangerous run-in against Lass Iris and her Clefairy, but managed to hold on and clinch the battle.
Hecate the Rattata learned Hyper Fang, and together with Ravel they handily dealt with the Rockets. Even the final villain's Raticate fell to a Magnitude from Ravel.

The six of us reached fresh air again after picking up a strange, dome-like fossil... there we met two rather strange men, dressed in white. They grunted and groaned, and offered to teach my pokemon to punch and kick with amazing power. Ravel the Geodude learned Mega Punch, and Riptide, now a Wartortle, learned Mega Kick.

Our new friend for Route 4 was a male Spearow, whom I named Wario. Fearing the creepy spiky-haired boy who would be waiting on Nugget Bridge, my party and I knuckled down to grind. Hel the Rattata was placed in the PC at level 17 to make room for Wario in the party.
Globus soon evolved into Pidgeotto, and Hecate into Raticate. Yet it was not long before disaster struck...

In battle with a Rattata 4 levels lower than him, Wario was the victim of a cruel trick of fate. The foe surely must have been related to Joey's Rattata, as it landed a double consecutive critical hit with a Quick Attack before Wario could subdue it with Fury Attack.

And Wario fell, never to rise again. We put up a small stone marker where he last rested, and spent a day in mourning before redoubling our training efforts to avenge his life.

Many a Rattata was beaten into submission after that incident.

With my party at level 17-20, we challenged Pedo on Nugget Bridge. Ravel the Geodude led off, crushing his with well-aimed rock projectiles. Globus the Pidgeotto bravely challenged the Ivysaur, eventually blowing it away with gusts from its majestic wings. Abra and Rattata were no problem to dispatch with my team's morale flying high. Pedo marched off in a huff, after 'gifting' us an item he deemed useless and telling us to see a Pokemaniac at the Cape.

The Nugget Bridge trainers fell in the blink of an eye.

A wonderful new companion joined our team on Route 24: a female Bellsprout whom we named Weedeater. She licked a few Hikers to grow to level 17, while the rest of my team (sans Hel, once again in the PC) took down the other Route25 trainers. We encountered another Bellsprout there, but a merciless critical hit from Eld made it bite the dust. I think she must be jealous.

Now at the Cerulean Cape, a young couple told me I looked lonely on my own there. I replied I was never alone if my pokemon were with me. They just nodded.

We knocked on Bill's door and were answered by a Clefairy! Startled, Riptide Mega Kicked it straight in the gut, sending it flying into a stack of notebooks. Climbing back up, it proclaimed that it was Bill himself, transformed into a Clefairy. Convinced that Weedeater must have gotten a little Stun-Spore into my water bottle, I nevertheless placed the little pink pokemaniac in his machine and ran it. Lo and behold out stepped a rather winded-looking young man!
He looked warily at Riptide and thrust a cruise ticket into my hand, muttering his thanks. He quickly shepherded us out the door, leaving every one of us utterly confounded.
To this moment I don't know what happened to that poor Clefairy.

After heading back to Cerulean Central, we decided we weren't quite ready for the red-headed gym leader. Weedeater and Globus trained a little on a thieving rocket, and then we headed through the Gym doors to test our luck.

I failed to notice that I had nothing stronger than a Potion in my pack.

Anyhow, Weedeater Vine-Whipped Misty's entourage into oblivion, growing to level 18 in the process. Feeling fairly confident, we confronted her. The battle proceeded thus:

Misty sent out Staryu!
Go, Weedeater!
Staryu used Water Pulse!
Weedeater used Vine Whip!
Staryu used Water Pulse!
Weedeater used Vine Whip!
Staryu fainted!
Misty sent out Starmie!
Come back, Weedeater!
Go, Riptide!
Starmie used Water Pulse!
Riptide is confused...
Riptide used Mega Kick!
Starmie used Water Pulse!
Riptide snapped out of it!
Riptide used Mega Kick!
Starmie used Recover! (Fffffuuuuuuu...)
Riptide used Mega Kick!
It missed...
Starmie used Recover!
Riptide used Mega Kick!
It missed...
Come back, Riptide!
Go, Hecate!
Starmie used Swift!
Starmie used Swift!
Hecate used Scary Face!
Hecate used Hyper Fang!
Starmie used Swift!
Come back, Hecate!
Go, Globus!
Starmie used Water Pulse! (That hurt...)
Globus used Sand Attack!
Starmie used Swift!
Come back, Globus!
Go, Eld!
Starmie used Recover!
Eld used Fury Attack!
Starmie used Water Pulse!
Used Potion on Weedeater...
Starmie used Rapid Spin!
But it missed!
Come back, Eld!
Go, Weedeater!
Starmie used Water Pulse!
Weedeater used Sleep Powder!
Starmie fell asleep!
Weedeater used Vine Whip!
Weedeater used Vine Whip!
Misty used a Super Potion!!!
Weedeater used Vine Whip!
Weedeater used Vine Whip!
Starmie woke up!
Starmie used Water Pulse!
Weedeater used Vine Whip!
STARMIE FAINTED!

And thus, after a long an arduous battle, with our highest level being 20, we defeated Misty with no casualties.

That is were I shall leave you for now.

Ignore what I said a few posts above.
I'll be doing the challenge in Emerald, not Crystal.

Anyway, I've just started, and got myself a female Treecko, which I named Scout.

Pokemon Blue:
The Nuzlocke Challenge

Rules:

1. If a Pokemon Faints, its dead, release it.
2. You can only catch/recieve one Pokemon in each Area. A town is one area, a route is one area, a cave is one area, etc. Should you fail to catch a Pokemon for any reason (other than game corruption) than too bad.
3. You must nickname all of your Pokemon (optional, but highly reccomended)
4. No catching legendaries.
5. Trading is disallowed, but the reasons following this clause are allowed. Egg trading is okay, same thing with Pokemon that can't have eggs. (optional) Trading simply for the purpose of evolution is perfectly OK.
6. You can only use normal Pokemon balls to capture Pokemon (Safari balls are the only exception)
7. Though gyms - once when you enter a gym, you can't go out unless you beat the gym leader and you have to beat all trainers
8. You can't run away from wild Pokes unless your Pokemon's ability is Run Away (self destructing Geodudes will be a pain in the neck)
9. Each Pokemon can't be less than 5 levels lower than the highest level Pokemon

That's my sign up form and also my format for the future updates.

Controversial?

I'm actually starting a challenge in Emerald now.

This is what I've got so far:

>Started the game, named myself Moon (yeah...)
>Defeated that Zogzagoon and picked Treecko, which I named Lorenzo
>Went through Routes 101 and 103 to May, who was defeated easily.
>Got the Pokédex and went to Route 102, where I caught a Poochyena called Youngblood.
>Went through Route 102 and got to Petalburg, where I helped Wally catch his annoying rare Ralts -.-
>Trekked to Petalburg Woods through Route 104 - encountered a Poochyena there but decided not to catch it.
>Reached Petalburg Woods. Found ANOTHER Poochyena but decided against catching it.
>Battled Bug Catcher Lyle and Youngblood died to his second Wurmple, at lv. 5. RIP Youngblood ;_;
>Continued on through Petalburg Woods with just Lorenzo, defeating the Team Aqua Grunt and that annoyance James.
>Went though the north of Route 104 toward Rustboro City, skipping a few Trainers for training later.
>After healing in Rustboro City, headed automatically to Route 116 instead of going to the Gym
>Upon reaching Route 116 I found a Skitty on the first try! Caught him and named him Cook (after the character from Skins)
>Headed back to Route 104 to rebattle those trainers and train Cook to lv. 10.
>Now we're at Rustboro City Gym, about to take it on with our trusty Treecko, Lorenzo and Skitty, Cook.

Game: Pokemon Heart Gold

Rules:
1. If a Pokemon Faints, its dead, release it.
3. You can only catch/recieve one Pokemon in each Area. A town is one area, a route is one area, a cave is one area, etc. Should you fail to catch a Pokemon for any reason (other than game corruption) than too bad.

5. No catching legendaries.
6. Trading is disallowed, but the reasons following this clause are allowed. Egg trading is okay, same thing with Pokemon that can't have eggs. (optional) Trading simply for the purpose of evolution is perfectly OK.
*I am also adding another rule for myself: no duplicates. That is, if the first Pokemon I run into on a route is one that I already have in my party, I am not allowed to catch it, and that route is over. Tough luck!

Progress:

Acquired Cyndaquil from Elm (nicknamed Rush)
Grinded Rush in the grass until I got to Mr. Pokemon's house
Got the Pokedex from Oak
Barely beat my rival... his Totodile got a Critical Hit and nearly knocked out Rush, but I got lucky and won before he could finish. Phew.
Got back to New Bark, named my rival Markus, delivered the egg to Elm, and Lyra taught me how to catch Pokemon. Like I didn't already know. Got some Pokeballs.
Caught Pidgey (nicknamed Tebow... yes, that is a reference lol)
Worked my way past Cherrygrove, and ran into another Pidgey, but since I couldn't catch it, I just KO'd it for some exp.
I grinded Rush up to level 10 so he would learn Ember, then did some training on Tebow since he was only at level 2.
Entered Route 31, though "hey, this is a great chance for me to catch something new!" Well, ran into a Caterpie, and friggin Tebow Critical'd it :/ so nope, no Caterpie for me.
Got to Violet City. Taking on Sprout Tower.
Inside Sprout Tower, I caught a Rattata (nicknamed Cooke). Beat all the trainers, but had to heal a couple time en route to the top.
Took on the Elder at the top in my toughest battle yet. Or well, supposedly. Rush burned both Bellsprouts with Ember, but Hoothoot gave me the most trouble. Cooke couldn't get the job done, so he's my first casualty. Tebow finished off the job with Gust.
Next update, I'll take on Falkner.

Progress:

After grinding outside Violet City for ages, I evolved Rush into Quilava and leveled both Pokes up to 15-16. Now to take on Falkner.
First up, Falkner's Pidgey versus Tebow. I had the edge in levels here, so a couple of Gusts did the job no problem.
Pidgeotto was harder. I still had the level advantage, but Pidgeotto was pretty strong and kept using Roost. That got annoying fast. Seriously, three Roosts in a row... I had to use a Potion on Tebow to keep him from fainting ._. And then Tebow got down to about 5HP so I switched to Rush, who struck with Ember a few times to win it. Phew.
I got the Egg from Elm, then headed south to Route 32.
First Pokemon I come across is a Bellsprout. I haven't trained a Bellsprout since Pokemon Gold on my GBC. Well, I guess that's the fun in this challenge! Caught it and nicknamed her Venus.
Grinded all the way down Route 32 until I got the Pokemon Center, then went back and grinded some more! Grinding is fun!
Tebow evolved. Now onto Union Cave.
Caught a Zubat on the first try, nicknamed him Batman.
Grinded through the cave, came out the other side. Found a Spearow in the grass, but KO'd him by accident ._. Oops. Oh well.
Took on the Rockets at Slowpoke Well, make easy work out of them! Now to grind some more, and then the Gym.

Progress:

Well, I was grinding in the grass outside Azalea Town, and my egg hatched! So now I have a Togepi, which I fittingly nicknamed Happy.
So after grinding for ages, I decided to enter the Gym. I figured I can switch train Happy and get him up quite a few levels that way.
Went to take on Bugsy, completely forgetting that he sends out Scyther first... that sucks. Well, Happy went down in one hit. So I sent out Tebow, who took care of Scyther with a couple of Gusts. Next up was Metapod, and I figured I could get some experience for some of my lower level guys against it, so I sent out Batman. But seriously, Batman continuously kept missing with Supersonic, and eventually Metapod just Tackled him to death. Ugh... Whatever. Next up I used Rush who swept the rest of this battle with Ember.
Rival battle was up next. Rush beat Gastly easily with a few Embers. Venus got Croconaw with Poison Powder and then spammed Vine Whip. Finally, Tebow had no trouble with Zubat until he got confused, so I got Rush to finish the job.
Entered Ilex Forest and I first ran into a Caterpie. Too bad I couldn't catch it though. Oh well.
Completed the Farfetch'd task, then got through the Forest.
Grinded up to Goldenrod.

In Sapphire I grinded for ages because I wanted some pokemon my friend had so I decided to grind my weaker pokemon I won't use to make the trade fair in the terms of making my Nuzlocke easy, I can't remember what I traded but I know I got a Wobbuffet (I dare myself to use him in this Nuzlocke) a Xatu a Golbat a Sableye (Evidently I didn't know what I was trading for x-x) and a Hariyama.
Now to beat Norman. >:D

Leigh's Nuzlocke Journey

Badge 1
Fingers quivering, palms moist, and heart coughing, I stared in disbelief. "You... what? Professor Elm wants me... now? But..." I couldn't help but have grown attached to the comfortable safety of my room, and now my mother expected me to expose myself to the world. I know it's the right thing to do, but... "But..." that's all that would escape my mouth. "Honey, it's the polite thing to do. I'm sure he has something very important in store for you, or he wouldn't have called me when he lives right next door. So get out of bed, it's 2:36 in the afternoon anyway."

I hesitantly crawled into my clothes, backwards at first and then eventually the correct way. I made my way downstairs, and mom looked at me with the same disapproving look that she does every time she sees me fully dressed. "Do you really have to wear that silly thing, sweetie? People enjoy, like, looking into your eyes, you know." I suddenly became more aware of my eyes blinking. I ran my pointer finger along the edge of my mask, feeling numb to her words by now. "I'm um... going to go see Elm now," I half-whispered. So, I hurried out the door before she could waste any more of my plentiful time with her condescending speak.

Shyly, I opened the door to Elm's lab. He seemed busy, so maybe he didn't need me that badly... perhaps I could leave, and then truthfully say that I had been to his lab! But no, that would be rude, and my guilty conscience was tugging me toward him. Anxiety-ridden, I approached. I half listened to what he had to say to me, but I was more preoccupied with his three Pokemon that he had in the lab. I was noting the fact that two of them were playing quite aggressively, but one of them was sitting out. It reminded me of myself and my cowardly ways, and I winced. "...so that would be so appreciated and... Leigh? Is there something wrong Leigh?" He too glanced at the three Pokemon. "Oh, I understand! You're interested in sharing a mutual relationship with another being in order to discover each other and experience a journey with hardships and triumphs alike!" Well, not exactly what I had in mind, Elm. But I decided to go along with it, lest I admit what I was actually thinking. "Erm... yeah! You've got it!" Elm did as much of a leap as someone his age could, and rushed over to the Pokemon. "I've got it, Leigh! Why don't you take one of these Pokemon, for keeps? It will be your partner permanently, so choose wisely!" This was unexpected, but I knew right away which Pokemon I wanted. The Cyndaquil had been the introvert of the group, and it also resembled my mask a bit. Perhaps the stars had aligned in a way that created the perfect situation that day.

Cyndaquil: Dante - male
Bashful
Lvl. 5, Newbark Town
(I got lucky with the nature I guess, haha!)

I had never even had a Pokemon for a pet before, so I was a little nervous, which Dante sensed with ease. So, as you can imagine, we were both stuck in an awkward suspended nervousness. But eventually, we both took our first steps into route 29. It was like my blood had a race to get to my head before all of the rest of the blood, and my heart was its method of propulsion. I was a nervous wreck, alright. But surprisingly, battling came naturally to us once we encountered our first wild Pokemon, which was a Sentret. It was a slightly humorous battle, because Dante was too jittery to get his flame lit at first, but he got the hang of it eventually.

Fast forward to Mr. Pokemon's house, and there I was with my poor brutally beat up Cyndaquil. So they first rushed to his aid before we proceeded with anything, and then we talked - and when I say talk, I mean to say that I listened and he talked. Professor Oak even entrusted me with a Pokedex! I don't even have to let a single word past my tongue and I receive all of these gifts, what's up with that? Anyway, I was on my way back to Newbark town when this boy stopped me. "I BET I'M MORE POWERFUL THAN YOU, I CAN PROVE IT," he spat with his nose touching the front of my mask. "But you don't have t--" "BATTLE. NOW" So, we battled. And I won, even though drops of rain had started falling against Dante's favor. I guess that's one thing we will never have in common - I adore the rain, Dante despises it. Can't blame him, I guess.

I caught a glimpse of something shiny on the ground, and picked it up - it was this trainer's card. According to this card, his name is Rudy - fitting, he is quite rude-y. "Oh, my god, what are you doing? Give me that!!" He screamed, a tone of desperation in his voice. I jogged back to the lab with Dante wrapped up in my sweatshirt, and was greeted with handcuffs. "Silly criminals, always returning to the scene of the crime!" said the officer. "Even trying to hide behind this mask. Now, let's remove this to see your real identity..." "U-uh wait, no... You d-don't unders-stand!" Was all I could manage. Professor Elm, startled, gave the cop a lecture about making unnecessary assumptions, and demanded I be released. By the time all the drama was over, I was able to gather up enough courage to speak to this stranger, and tell him the name of the real thief.

After yet another gift of pokeballs from Elm's assistant, and a few practice throws at a target, I was ready to go catch my first pokemon. My nerves were on fire, I couldn't wait to see what my first Pokemon caught by myself would be. To my disappointment, we were met with emptiness, the entire area was completely deserted. All of a sudden, I heard a shriek behind me, that sounded familiar but at the same time I had never heard anything quite like it. I turned around, and Dante was being attacked by a wild Pidgey! Though Dante was hesitant when it came to battling, he couldn't hold back with this one - this Pidgey was a fighter. So we gradually weakened it, and then, with shaking hands, I threw my first pokeball. Anxiously, I stared at the shaking ball. One shake, two, three... click? Was that a click? It was! It was official, I had caught my first pokemon.

Pidgey: Bluebell - male
Bold
Lvl. 4, Rt. 29

By the time I started catching more Pokemon, the buzz I would get from the final click of the pokeball started to wear off. But it was still exciting, not knowing whether I would find a common Pokemon for my team, or if I would have the opportunity to include a rare gem.

Spearow: Rade - male
Lvl. 2, Rt. 46

My thought process: "Hmm, his face sort of looks like a mask. I know, I'll name him (Masque)Rade.

Weedle: Britney - female
Lvl. 3, Rt. 30

As I was staring into her eyes thinking of what to name her, I thought about how she inflicts the poison status upon her victims... and suddenly, the song "Toxic" by Britney Spearow came into my head. And thus, Britney was named.

Kakuna: Ex-Lax - male
Lax (NOT JOKING)
Lvl. 5, Rt. 31

Kakuna was named Ex-Lax because... he only knows harden, and is good for not-so-nice word for poop. And it turns out he has a lax nature... fancy that.

Grind, grind, grind.

Trainer battles.

Rattata: Maisy - female
Lvl. 4, Bellsprout Tower

Nothing extraordinary happened. I defeated the gym leader with primarily my birds, just for a traditional feel, and Rade passed away. I couldn't feel happy about my first badge, because I was too busy sobbing in the corner with my fallen partner. What could he have been if I had been more careful? This was all my fault... the rain pattering on the roof was only making it worse by adding dramatic effect. At least it hid my tears when I walked outside, another reason I quite like the rain. But the drops that normally were soothing on my skin, stung like scythes striking the surface of my arms. A side effect of death.

CURRENT TEAM:
Dante the Cyndaquil - Lvl. 12
Madeline the Bellsprout - Lvl. 6
Britney the Beedrill - Lvl. 12
Bluebell the Pidgey - Lvl. 13

Fatalities:
Rade the Spearow - Lvl. 2 - 10
Maisy the Rattata - Lvl. 4 - 4

Details about all but Madeline are in the spoiler, I will update with either a picture or more story time soon!! c= I'm loving reading everyone else's updates, keep up the good work everyone!

Maisy the Rattata - Lvl. 4 - 4

I will either be making a video, a story or a picture to update soon.

I have a small question......I went on Nuzlocke.com (The creator of the Nuzlocke challenge's website) and I noticed that instead of ,as your rules say, ONE Pokemon per area, it said the FIRST Pokemon in an area, so instead of running around trying to find a Poochyena on the first route, if a Zigzagoon appeared first, you would have to catch it. Don't know if that was intended, or if I read it wrong, but that's what was on the creator's website.

Update time

Aloysius - Oshowott lv13
Vice - Lillipup lv13
Vace - Lillipup lv8
MediumRare - Pansear lv12

So I picked Oshawott and named him Aloysius. He's a fighter. Dispatched Cheren and Bianca having a bit of a scare from Cheren, then moved onto route 1. That's where I met Vice, the Lillipup. After much grinding and a few visits to Mom, we were all at level 10 and having a great time. We listened to Ghetsis then N got pounded by Aloysius. I ventured onto Route 2. I aquired Vace, another Lillipup. ;___;. BOX. Grinded in route 2, level 12's. I went to the dreamyard and got Pansear. The NUzlocke is hard enough without taking bonuses and the original guy took it. Welcome to the team, MediumRare! I beat Cheren easily then went to the gym. I beat the first trainer with MediumRare, despite being lower levelled, however the 2nd trainer got me down to 4HP. Luckily Aloysius saved the day :D.

All the gym trainers dispatched, we walked up to Cilan. I knew that if I was to succeed, I'd probably have to sacrifice Vace to do some healing to other team members. I wish I had bonded with Vace more, so I'd feel more guilty about it. The battle began. I led with Vice. He led with his wimpy Lillipup. A leer and 2 tackles later, he was gone. Next was his Pansage. I trusted MediumRare, even though he was 3 levels below Pansage. It was a close battle, Cilan using a potion while MediumRare scoffed his Oran berry. What makes me laugh is that if he had used stratch, I probably would have lost, but he persisted with Vine Whip. Noob. The trio badge was mine, without any casualties. Vace, the untrained lv8 Lillipup lived to fight another day.

Dudy's Nuzlocke Challenge
Part 1

Note: I decided to change the game i will do the challenge on. It will be Fire Red now.

Name: DPF89
Starter: IV-Drip (Squirtle)
Rival: Lavir

So the starter i choose was squirtle who i named IV-Drip. After getting the pokedex and all that, i ran into a pidgey and caught it. I named it Flocka.
Next, i went to test my luck in the indigo Plato route. I found a manky on my first try! I caught it and named it LadyChimp. Now off to Viridian Forest. I battle so bug catchers and sadly lose Mankey and Pidgey. First Pokemon encountered here is a weedle. I name it Buzzin. I make it out of the forest, heal, and take on the gym. I beat the trainer and Brock without losing IV-Drip or Buzzin. Both evolve at the end of the fight. Now i have the Boulder badge! Next time- Mt. Moon here i come!

So ive started a nuzlocke on the amazingly difficult and awesome hack Pokemon Blaze Black. But im doing it with random encounter code on which makes it all the more interesting. RNG'd a Zebstrika as my starter. Beat the family issues triad in the first gym fairly easily with Fire Monkey. And now training in the route beside the gym city. Heres the team so far:-
http://i.imgur.com/uOgco.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/uP7kM.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/thRZl.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/OlqOe.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/Lh0Qz.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/YfD6n.png

reading some of the nuzlocke stories has motivated to do my own and ive decided emerald as I haven't played it in ages, started with these rules

1. Pokémon faints – permanently boxed.

2. Only the first Pokémon encountered on each area(route, cave etc.) may be caught ONCE poke balls are obtained.

3. Potions and status healing items cannot bebought only found.

4. Nicknames to each Pokémon (mythology theme).

5. All Pokémon faint = game over.

6. Legendaries can be caught but not used inbattle.

7. If I need a hm to advance and no pokemon areable to learn it I can continue to enter different as a second encounterprovided I permanently box my highest level pokemon and my starter, if mystarter is my highest leveled pokemon my second highest will also beperma-boxed.

Hi, I'm new to the concept of Nuzlocke challenges, but have decided to try one on my old LG cartridge. Information below;

Trainer Name: Vincent
Gender: Male
Starter Pokemon: Charmander
Starter's Nickname: Blaze

Also, quick question. Do you count any Pokemon you see on your way to Viridian City to get Oak's Parcel in the beginning of the game? Or can you still catch a Pokemon from there once you have the Pokedex?

Rules:
1.) If a Pokemon faints, it's dead. Place it in a PC Box and don't touch it ever again.
2.) One Pokemon from each area. If you faint the first Pokemon you see, that route is off limits for catching anything.
3.) Nickname all Pokemon. No exceptions.
4.) Gift Pokemon do not count towards an area total. Nor do Eggs.(If they exist in this game.)
5.) Nuzlocke challenge is over once all legendaries(Mew not included) have been beaten, and the Elite Four/Champion have been rechallenged for a second time-Sevii Islands must be completed before the second League challenge is made.
6.) Limit of 20 of each item from any PokeMart.

Well, that's all the rules for now. Will update periodically.

First update
-Choosemudkip named Poseidon
-Beat may
-Gotpokedex
-Caught poocheynain route 101 named Hades
-Caughtzigzagoon in route 103 named rhea
-Grindedpokemon

-Caughtwurmple and named mercury
-Grindedwurmple till it evolved into cascoon (wooo I wanted a dustox not a beautifly)and then a dustox.

Found thatwith my buying no items (besides pokeballs or items to keep progressing) rhea’*****up ability is extremely helpful.

Second Update
-Went into route 104 and caught a marill, named Vulcan, deposited in box as I was not bothered to grind it as I already have a water type and have plenty of chances to catch more.
-Beat trainers and entered Petalburg woods and caught a slakoth which I nicknamed Zeus.
- Got to rustboro, healed and went to route 116 to catch my pokemon for that route, I caught a nincada nicknamed Ares and boxed it.
-Grinded in route 116 and lost Hades to a critical leech life from a wild nincada. A little disappointed to lose my first pokemon but it was my weakest pokemon and it was going to be boxed shortly anyways.
-Caught Whismur in Rusturf tunnel named Hera and boxed as I already have 2 normal types.
-Poseidon evolved and I decided it was time to challenge the gym.
- OHKO both geodudes with water gun and took down nosepass without losing much hp
- Beat may again and went to dewford town and caught the pokemon I was hoping for, aron, in granite cave.

I'll give the Nuzlocke Challenge a try. Doubt I'll get very far though.
Quick question before I start, if all the members of your team die, is it game over or can you just get new Pokemon from the PC or something?

Character Name: Tai
Game: Platinum

Oh btw you will notice that all nicknames I give my Pokemon will be Digimon-related. Don't let that bother you.

3. You can only catch/recieve one Pokemon in each Area. A town is one area, a route is one area, a cave is one area, etc. Should you fail to catch a Pokemon for any reason (other than game corruption) than too bad.
Question: Does the bottom floor of a cave etc count as the whole cave? As in, if you run into a Geodude as you walk into a cave then you go to the bottom floor and run into a Wooper, are you allowed to catch the Wooper too or does Geodude count for the whole cave?

Anyway I'll be starting this shortly so count me in! I'll post updates later :D Hopefully I'll make some awesome new Pokemon friends from it!

As previously stated, starting the journey in Pearl now! c: Using the rules of only catching the first Pokémon per area, nick-naming everything (I always do anyway!), and fainting = death. Also decided to go for a story telling feel to my updates, so brave yourselves for some long posts if you're reading them!

Chapter 1
I woke up in a daze with an excited Barry shouting down the phone at me. He'd been my best friend for years so I was used to this by now. Seems I've been enlisted to go on an urgent expedition to Lake Verity in search of the elusive Red Gyarados... Typical Barry; I think I'll spend ten more minutes in bed.
After having a cup of tea with mom and telling her about my plans for the day, I headed out to rendezvous with the ever in a hurry Barry as he hurtled out the door full speed straight into my face. I've come to accept this as normal behavior for him by this stage so I quickly forgave him.
Being as forgetful as he is, Barry immediately ran back inside without saying a word and hurried to his room to collect his journal that he'd forgotten. Curious where he'd gone, I followed him inside and was greeted with the thread of being fined $1,000,000 if I was late to the lake. Yup, that's Barry alright!
We ventured out of town and shortly reached Lake Verity; however before having time to look for the mysterious Red Gyarados, we were greeted by an old man and his assistant, whom was carrying a brief case.
The pair seemed to be discussing something important so we decided not to bother them as we made out way into the lake, but as we took our first few steps, the old man shot straight up and came over to us. This was scary to say the least!
He introduced himself as a Pokemon professor before darting off straight past us as his assistant, who we now knew to be Dawn, reservedly apologized for the professor's crass behavior and ran off to follow him.
Confused by what had just happened, I stared out into the vast shining lake wondering just how many Pokemon were actually living there. However my thoughts were quickly interrupted by Barry yelling at the top of his lungs in fright.
Now alert, I ran over to Barry seeing him being confronted by a group of angry Starly. I thought to myself "Serves you right, I told you not to walk in the long grass!", before catching up to him and trying to help him out.
Whilst running from the birds, I tripped over a strange brief case left in the middle of the grass and as it opened on its side, three Pokéballs spilled out! I assumed they must've belonged to the professor, but after glancing back at the Starly heading straight for me, I knew what had to be done.
I quickly grasped the first Pokéball I saw and threw it out onto the ground. I'd never commanded a Pokémon before but it had been a life-long dream of mine, so I was pretty charged when a Turtwig appeared from the Pokéball! Although as I shouted out for it to use various moves that I'd seen on TV such as Leaf Storm and Solar Beam, the Turtwig didn't listen to me and simply used Tackle instead. I guess I still had a lot to learn.
Barry, who had now taken the same plan of action as me, had sent out a Chimchar to fight on his behalf. He was commanding this Pokémon well and knew exactly what moves to use and how to use them, before he called over to me that my new ally would only be capable of using a basic Tackle attack and Withdrawing to increase its defense. So that explains why I was ignored!
I ordered the Turtwig, whom was currently running in circles around the Starly teasing it, to use Withdraw. A blue light appeared like a shield over Turtwig just as the Starly crashed into his back, but due to the increased defense the attack didn't seem to do a thing. Then I ordered the move Tackle, which shortly disposed of the aggravated Starly. Barry's foe had already been taken down minutes ago by his fast-paced battle using Chimchar, but we decided it'd be for the best to leave the tall grass as quickly as possible.
We ran out of Lake Verity cheering and excitedly comparing battles before Barry hurtled face-first into the waiting professor. He withdrew quickly and we both stood anxiously awaiting our punishment for using his Pokémon, but as he opened his mouth to speak his voice was calm and controlled. He didn't seem too bothered about what had happened and didn't even ask for his two Pokémon back; maybe he just forgot? At any rate, he requested that we came and visited his lab in Sandgem Town so we headed in that direction post-haste.
Along the route to Sandgem Town I was ambushed by several more Pokemon; Bidoof and Starly came out from all directions as I asked Turtwig to protect me and hurried into the next town in which I was promptly greeted by Dawn. She requested that I followed her into the professor's lab, and I had no choice but to agree.
The professor, introducing himself as Professor Rowan, asked to see the Turtwig that I had borrowed. I was reluctant to let my new friend go, but I guess it wasn't actually my Pokémon. I begrudgingly handed over the Turtwig to Professor Rowan and turned around to start walking out of the lab. However, just as I took my first step, Professor Rowan spoke.
"Excellent. That Pokémon really seems to like you, so I'm going to let you keep it. It's standard for trainers to give their Pokémon a nick-name so give it some thought."
Awestruck, I gazed at my new Turtwig partner before taking it into my arms and squeezing it hard. I didn't either know its gender; how was I supposed to name it? As I squeezed, Turtwig let out a sharp yelp which sounded reminiscent of an old friend's cry, so with that I named my new partner 'Clay'. Turtwig then licked my face before laughing to itself; guess it must be naughty natured.
As I was informed that Dawn was the trainer of a Piplup and Barry was entrusted to keep his Chimchar companion, Professor Rowan requested that I travel the land of Sinnoh and collect as much data about all the region's Pokémon as I could with a new Pokédex that he had given me. Was this a dream come true?
With that, I took Clay to the Pokémon Center where I discovered his gender and abilities from the nurse, before staying the night to rest alongside my new partner. I couldn't stop dreaming of all the adventures yet to come!

Time for update #2! This almost made me cry :(

Chapter 2
First thing in the morning I parted the Pokémon Center and headed back home to tell mom what had happened. She'd be so worried about me not coming home last night! I made my way back through Route 401 whilst fighting off the countless Bidoof and Starly with Clay's help; he's really getting tough!
I made it back home safely thanks to Clay and after having lunch with mom, I collected my journal and told her about my dream to set off on my own Pokémon adventure. She was reluctant to agree but after showing her how strong Clay had gotten, she finally decided I could go out and complete the professor's quest of gathering as much information in the Pokédex as possible. But as I was about to leave, Barry's mother burst in the room asking where Barry was and after I delivered a half-hearted tale of what had happened to us both, she knew that he would've already set off and simply sighed. She requested that I deliver him a parcel before he goes too far ahead, so I agreed and set out for my journey.
Whilst traversing Route 101 and fighting off countless wild Pokemon, me and Clay stopped for a training session just outside of Sandgem Town. He had to be strong for what's coming up in the future! He began taking down the wild Pokémon with more ease every battle until eventually in a battle against a solitary Bidoof, he was tackled into exceedingly hard and collapsed to the floor. After that he just stopped moving. He had a look of concentration on his face and naturally I was now panicking about what would happen next. Was he injured? Was he tired of fighting? Had I done something wrong?
In fact, it was the exact opposite. His face suddenly lit up in a brilliant grin as he unleashed a bright glowing orb from the leaf on his head. The orb crashed into Bidoof and Clay began glowing a brilliant shade of green and began to stand up whilst the Bidoof collapsed. I guess this must mean Clay learnt Absorb! We then continued through Sandgem Town.
As I passed into Route 402 I was shocked to see Dawn waiting for me. She pounced out from the tall grass and shouted "Boo!" with me jumping back in shock. She said something about wanting to show me how to catch Pokémon as I watched her capture a nearby Bidoof with help from Piplup. This was one of the coolest things I'd ever seen! After imparting some tips she gave me five of her Pokéballs, so I rushed off to start capturing new friends.
I remembered hearing something about only being able to capture one Pokémon per route and it had to be the first I encountered, so I made sure to head back to Route 401 to make my first capture. Excited as to what I'd find, I ventured into the tall grass and was instantly stopped by a level two Bidoof. It seemed like a very chirpy Pokémon so I weakened it slightly and threw my Pokéball, but it broke free. We exchanged a few more hits and finally Bidoof was mine! I decided Wilson would be a great nick-name for him and welcomed him to the team.
I decided to head straight to Route 402 with my new friend Wilson to see what my next Pokémon would be, and within a few steps a wild Kricketot jumped out at me. I'd never seen this Pokémon before so I couldn't wait to try it out! I weakened her and threw a Pokéball and she was all mine. Deciding on the nick-name Cheryl, I ventured out with my two new companions.
I decided to train my new friends before we ventured too far, but with Cheryl only knowing Bide and Growl this was going to be a challenge! Her first fight was against a level four Starly who got two critical hits whilst Cheryl was biding, ending in Cheryl's defeat. I had been on my journey for less than an hour and have already let one Pokémon die. What the hell is wrong with me! I held back tears, clutching Cheryl's limp, lifeless body in my hands before sending a furious Wilson out to finish the job. Cheryl was not going to die in vain! As Wilson unleashed a powerful Tackle, Starly fell to the floor and Cheryl had been avenged. I took her body to the PokéCenter to be burried properly; she would always be a memorial of my first adventures.

We decided to take the night off and mourn Cheryl's loss before continuing our journey tomorrow.

I'm going to do this challenge on Sapphire with rules 1,3,4,5,6,7

I'll make it like a story to make it kinda like 8
Let's begin!

Golurk's Nuzlocke Hoenn Extravaganza?!

Early, boring part of game stuff

Had some weird dream about a professor, he wondered what gender I was and what my name was. Strange, right? I went along with it saying I was in fact a boy and was named Golurk. Then I woke up... in a van? Thanks mom, it's good to know child abuse is alive and strong. My mom shouted something at me before I took off and saw.. OH GOD IT'S THE CREEP FROM MY DREAM! He shouted something about a cute puppy licking his shoe and how, "it was just polished!" I decided to help him out to end his whining, picking a... chicken. ... T_T "Okay so now what?" I said. "BWAAAACCKKK" said the chicken as it ran crazily with its tongue hanging out. I went to pet the puppy when the stupid chicken decided to scratch it's face out, knocking it out. Awesome. Birch asked me to name it and before I could utter out the hilariously witty nickname, the damn chicken screeched "BWAAAAAAAK" >:[ So, BWAAAAAAAK and I headed onwards. Along the way, I met a girl who claimed to be the crazy prof's daughter, so we battled. BWAAAAAAAAAK made short work of her creepy fish. I grabbed a pokedex from birch and some shoes from my mom and off I went!

Route 102: BWAAAAAAAK and I stood on the road of my future, and ran off down the path looking for whatever pokemon we might find. I knew I could only catch one as Hoenn's new anti-poaching policy dictated. BWAAAAAAAK tripped over a rock and fell into a nest. A nest of...
http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/d/de/Spr_3r_270.png (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/File:Spr_3r_270.png) BWAAAAAAAK decided to charge angrily. I had to capture the poor thing before he was murdered by my freakin' chicken, so I threw a pokeball and EH? the canadian Lotad joined the party! BWAAAAAAAK started drooling and laughing manaically. :paranoid: I trained up EH? to level seven and then took a quick detour to shove BWAAAAAAK into the pokemon center's computer. You didn't see nooothing. That chicken was gonna peck my eyes out in my sleep, anyways.

Petalburg City: EH? and I walked up to go meet my dad, but we had to help some punk catch a pokemon. A ralts! I wanted one of those! Oops, sorry EH?...
EH? "EH?" *derp*
...

Route 104: A new party member! EH? said: "Gosh, I sure do hope it's got all of it's ice bricks in the igloo this time, if ya know what I mean. EH EH EH EH" <- I guess that's how he laughs? -_- We searched high and low until we found...
http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/3/33/Spr_3r_263.png (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/File:Spr_3r_263.png)RABID, the zigzagoon. RABID: "This town ain't big E-nough for the tew of us! Let's get 'em captain!" (He quickly pushed EH? into the back of the party) Soon enough, we came upon some mysterious woods...

Petalburg Woods: We continued walking through the eerie forest. Then, out of nowhere we heard: "Ahhuuhhhhhhhh!" As a cascoon used some of it's silk to swing into our faces. It hardened before it went to attack us, exclaiming: "Not in my forest, you don't!" RABID rackled it and took a pokeball from my bag before I could do anything, saying: "Better catch this varmit before it hurts little EH?" EH?: "EH?"
http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/c/c1/Spr_3r_268.png (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/File:Spr_3r_268.png)TARZAN joined the party! He smiled sheepishly, since his only move is harden. *facepalm* "Hey. Hey KID. Got any shroooms? I lovvvve shroooms" said a random man. I would have ran away as fast as possible but suddenly a thief appeared and stole the man's stuff. I beat the criminal and was given a great ball. Whatever.

Route 116: After stopping briefly in Rustboro, I decided to catch a new party member! TARZAN swung ahead of the group. When we finally caught up to him, he was in a fierce battle with a...
http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/c/cf/Spr_3r_293.png (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/File:Spr_3r_293.png) Whismur: "Oh no. YOU'LL NEVER CAPTURE ME!!! I AM NOT COMING ON YOUR DUMB QUEST ONLY FOR ME TO DIE!" EH?: "We might die? Even so, I tell ya what, I'll stick with you to the end doncha know!"
After that touching speech by EH? I snagged LEO the whismur in a pokeball. So much for trying to escape... Edit: While training on route 116, TARZAN reached level 10. We all stood back in amazement. dun..dun..dun... dun... CONGRATULATIONS, YOUR TARZAN FINALLY BECAME USEFUL! (TARZAN learned confusion)

Team: Cascoon -> Dustox, Lotad, Zigzagoon, Whismur

*Is this too long? Should my next update be shorter?

My second update.

I have to admit, this is really interesting. It forces you to change the way you train and battle. I don't take as many chances, such as going into a battle early, paying attention to the health bar, etc.

Update #2 (so far, this is really fun!)

Rusturf Tunnel: Leo and I decided to train there. We soon found our first pokemon, a whismur. I was all set to catch it (just in case) Leo: " Oh no. no WAY are you even going to THINK about replacing me, especially with a weaker lamer version of myself. After deciding to go with you, do you really think I'd let myself die?!" *critical hit, whismur fainted*

Rustboro Gym: Eh?.

After beating roxanne with a couple of bullet seeds from EH?, EH? evolved! dun..dun... into a Lombre. (EH?: Oh gosh, I'm as excited as maple syrup is sugary!")

We then had to help the shroom guy again, and take down the criminal. RABID has a vendetta against poochyenas, so he took it down ferociously. RABID: "Those stankin' varmits killed my father, they don't dee-serve the life they was given."

We stumbled back through the woods and found an old man who we had helped (after being forced to do errands for some president) Briney: "Argh, ya saved me Peeko, I'll help ye git to where ye needs ter be any time!"

Dewford: Ran to the granite cave really quickly to find my new party member....
http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/a/a2/Spr_3r_041.png (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/File:Spr_3r_041.png) she was caught quickly and was dubbed MASHA. MASHA: "I vill suck all of your blood HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
*shoves in box*

Dewford Gym: TARZAN.

Granite Cave: After running through the dark, and tripping over arons, I finally made it to Steven. He told me how to use the pokenav (which I already knew how) and then talked about his precious little rocks. *sigh*

Slateport: We beat some trainers on the beach before continuing onwards. CRIMINALS! There's a ton of them everywhere! TARZAN: "Quick, hide in this shipyard! AHHHHHHHHHHH!" When we left, the coast was clear. We decided to check out the museum... a big mistake. Instead of running away and drawing lots of attention, we decided we would hide upstairs. Hey! There's the guy we have to give the goods to! As soon as they were handed over, some criminals attacked. Better beat them... After beating them one of them was nice enough to give me a tm. Thanks!

Route 110: My team and I surveyed the landscape for any signs of life. Suddenly, a shadow darted across the landscape. "CHHHHAAAAAAAARRRGEEE" I said and RABID and I tackled the creature. It was a...
http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/3/37/Spr_3r_278.png (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/File:Spr_3r_278.png) I caught her. She introduced herself timidly, "I-I'm MISA... please don't hurt me!" Since my team doesn't need the weak I dropped her off in the PC. >:l (actually it was because I didn't really need her)

After escaping a really tricky house, we ran on down route 110, eventually meeting... May! She was pretty easy although her numel was a bit of a thorn in my side.

Mauville: Grabbed a free bike and headed to the gym. But Wally was there! "Golurk Battle With MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" TARZAN accepted for me, taking Wally's ralts down with two gusts. "... ... ... wannabattleagain?" "NO!" said I. "Then will you come over my house? Please? please? PLEASE!" "Fine Wally, if it'll shut you up..."

Route 117: I could smell it in the air, a new party member! I ran through the grass until I found a...
http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/9/90/Spr_3r_315.png (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/File:Spr_3r_315.png) The Roselia pulled out a cigarette and said, "Got a lighter? Actually, I could go for a beer. (directed at MISA) You wanna grab me one, sweetcakes?" He dodged my pokeballs saying "I'm too great for a pokeball, come back with something a little higher of caliber. And maybe some wings too?" But he did indeed allow himself to be captured in a pokeball, and STUDLY the roselia joined the team!

But sadly while training on the bike path, a critical hit occurred. And STUDLY went down. STUDLY: "Don't worry boss it's okay. I know you and the team can make it without me"

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I've been wanting to do some challenge runs, especially Nuzlocke. I think I'm gonna do a Nuzlocke run for, well, a lot of Pokemon games. I'm going to start with either FireRed or D/P/P. Was going to do Blue, but my SP was acting up with it. (Probably actually me just not being too careful, but still.)
Rules I'll be Using:
1. If a Pokemon Faints, its dead, release it.
3. You can only catch/recieve one Pokemon in each Area. A town is one area, a route is one area, a cave is one area, etc. Should you fail to catch a Pokemon for any reason (other than game corruption) than too bad.
4. You must nickname all of your Pokemon (optional, but highly reccomended)
5. No catching legendaries.
6. Trading is disallowed, but the reasons following this clause are allowed. Egg trading is okay, same thing with Pokemon that can't have eggs. (optional) Trading simply for the purpose of evolution is perfectly OK.

I'll have my first update soon! :D

Sapphire Update # 3

The whole team was depressed over STUDLY's death. Leo had stopped talking, even after he evolved. RABID also evolved along the way too. Only EH? seemed to have his same energy, but I think that was because he didn't entirely grasp what had happened...
To cure my grief I headed to the gamecorner. After gaining 4,000 coins, I bought flamethrower and taught it to LEO. We then took on the gym which LEO annihilated. BWAAAAAAACK had to be used as death fodder, and died. However, I needed BWAAAAAAACK to cut and rock smash for me, so I kept him in my party but didn't heal him (I used the PC to heal my other pokes). It was incredibly scarring using his dead body to smash rocks, but a new team member was found! BRAINIAC the geodude joined our party. BRAINIAC: "Hey guys! Wanna do some some calculations with me for fun? I can make woooord problems!" BRAINIAC's light-heartedness snapped us out of the funk we were in. From that day we decided that, no matter what, we would stick together and fight as a team! (<-cheesy) We soon met another friend, a grimer named Greta (in the Fiery Path) GRETA: "O EEts So Niis Tuu Meeet YU ALL!" (she was native hoennese, and they have a strange accent) On route 113, the third of our team passed away. BRAINIAC. His last words were: "You're certain to beat this next gym, with or without me, as certain as E=..." No one slept that night. The next day, we met a new friend, CHEERIO the spinda. now I could finally put lay BWAAAAAAACK to rest. As we continued onward we met JESSIE the seviper and THORNBERRY the zubat. THORNBERRY:" AAAAaaack, its so nice to meet you all eauhh" We chanced upon some team aqua grunts, stealing a meteorite! As soon as this occurred, we raced to the top of mount chimney but along the way... THORNBERRY: aaaauhh what's, what's happening?" THORNBERRY EVOLVED!!! We soon ran into the leader of the Aqua organization, after beating up his grunts. He spouted some rubbish about water and then we fought. His Golbat... His Golbat killed RABID. As RABID lay there dieing, he said:"Get this varmit for me boss, I know yeh can do it." I sent in EH? to clean up the Sharpedo, but he was overcome by CRUNCH. EH?: "Bein' on your team was a sweet as maple syrup boss. Go get 'em, eh."

...

...

The first pokemon I had ever caught.

After three days of grievance, my ragged team of LEO, TARZAN, THORNBERRY and GRETA continued down into the jagged pass. We chanced upon a machop. YESSSSSSSSSSS. Now Norman will be so easy to kill! Unfortunately, CHAMPION the machop had other plans. "I want to go to Kanto. BRING ME THERE." While we were training, THORNBERRY and I found a SHINY MACHOP! I glanced around nervously, hoping the hoenn anto-poaching squad wasn't near by. As soon as he was caught, however, a robotic voice screeched: "PUT YOUR HANDS UP, YOU ARE UNDER ARREST. DO NOT MOVE OR WE WILL SHOOT." Crap. I'd forgotten to check the rocks for hidden cameras/guns. I sprinted as the mechanism in the rock shot bullets at me. CHAMPION: "You know where people don't get shot at, and there is no limit to catching pokemon? KANTO." When we finally arrived at lavaridge, panting and out of breath, I knew it was time to challenge the gym. In hindsight, I wish I had waited. LEO was didn't want to budge, he still hadn't forgiven me. The battle was fiery and intense as flannery's torkoal slammed and burnt at our team. My healing items had run out. I sent LEO in, hoping... but no. LEO had fainted, for good. LEO: "I...forgive you." Soon THORNBERRY followed suit. THORNBERRY: "bwaaaa auuu euuhhh" Champion took out the torkoal with a karate chop. CHAMPION: "Gosh boss, we need a vacation." "I agree" "I know a perfect place for us to relax! The Sevii islands in KANTO!!!!!!!!!!!!!" "NO."

With only three members on the team, I decided to get another, BART the lileep. But, after discovering how LILEEP learns nothing of value in gen 3 until very late or by tms, he was immediately sent to the PC. We decided to spend the night outside the desert.

Team: Grimer Machop Dustox Spinda
PC: Zubat Wingull Seviper *Machop* Lileep
Dead: Roselia Torchic Geodude Linoone Lombre Loudred Golbat

*Does the desert count as a new area, different from route 11? Because I caught a BRAINIAC the geodude in the rocks at the southern end and was hoping to be able to get a new party member...

I've been looking for a way to get myself back into the swing of things with Pokemon... I've been out of it for a number of months now, and with BW2 fast approaching, everything I've tried to get me rolling again has been for naught... soooo, having stumbled onto the nuzlocke comic site one day, and seeing this thread here, I thought I'd actually take action and get one of these runs going on Emerald.

As standard, I'll be following Rules 1 & 3 thoroughly, as well as Rules 4, 5, 7 &, to some extent, 8. I'm certainly no artist, but I do write, so I'll probably make notes of how each stretch of play goes, and try to make a story out of it. It's a 2-in-1 that gets me playing Pokemon again, and gets me working on my writing, too! Which I've kind of been neglecting, heh...

Oh, and don't worry; anyone who is weeping at me using pink text right now will be glad to know I'll stick to default colours with updates, so as to not blind everyone with massive walls of pink text. =D

I'll get an update set in as soon as I'm able to get some progress in. Just preparing a couple of documents for my writing comfort before I make a start~

Well, I started my string of Nuzlocke runs with Platinum. This first part actually went further then I expected. Nevertheless, without further ado:

Chapter 1:
-As I began my file, and Professor Rowan finished explaining what Pokemon were, I named my character Jacob, and my rival Dwight, after the character from the TV Show, The Office.
-The first five minutes was Dwight pushing me around Twinleaf Town, eventually ending up at Route 201. Soon, Rowan came up, yelled a little, rambled, then told us get a Pokemon. Weird guy.
-I chose Chimchar as my starter, and, of course, Dwight chose Piplup. Luckily, I didn't have too much trouble with the rival battle.
-After cutting back to being at the character's house, and seeing the creepy Cyrus guy at the lake, I headed to Sandgem, where Rowan gave me the Pokedex and the TM for Return. I also nicknamed my Chimchar, Incendio. (Beware, I can never really think of good nicknames when I'm on the spot.
-I headed to the PokeMart and bought 5 Poke Balls, even though I would get some for free soon.
-On the back to Twinleaf because Dawn forced me to talk to my mother, I caught a Starly at LV 3, and nicknamed it Zephyr.
-After doing that, I went into Route 202 just above Sandgem, where Dawn taught how to catch Pokemon even though I already had done this.
-Luckily, the first Pokemon i encountered in this route was a Shinx at LV 4. I caught it, and nicknamed it Ninevolt. (See what I mean with the nicknames?)
-I made my way up to Jubilife City, met the suspicious Looker, and healed my Pokemon.
-I did some grinding in Route 202 up to LV 10 for all 3 Pokemon.
-Got a Town Map from Dwight in the Trainers School, did the three questions for the Poketch, and went to the entryway to Route 218 to get the Old Rod.
-I left Jubilife and headed to Oreburgh City. In Route 203, I beat my rival once more, luckily with no deaths. In this route, I caught a Zubat at LV 4.
-When I got to Oreburgh City, I headed to the Oreburgh City Mine to get the Gym Leader Roark, and caught a LV 7 Geodude, and called it Smeagle, since it's evolved form is Gollem.
-Then I headed up to Route 206 after getting Roark. My first Pokemon found here was a Machop, which I nicknamed PandaKing after the Sly Cooper character.
-Also, I grinded my 3 main Pokemon to LV 15, which soon evolved into Monferno, Staravia, and Luxio. I'm not sure yet how I plan to use the other 3.
-After taking on the 2 or 3 Gym trainers for the Oreburgh City gym, I battled the Leader, Roark. I won quite handily, with the exception of Batman, who I used as a bait while I healed Incendio. Oh well. Didn't plan on using him that much anyways. Also, that evolution chain is extremely common.
-And so this ends the first part of my adventure/ After one badge, I only lost one Pokemon.

Well, that was pretty long. And a pain to type up. Probably putting too much into it anyways.

I take way too long to write things... xD; So I'm going to just post updates in here about my Nuzlocke run, then get a story-based version written up as and when I can; more likely to show up in the Fan Fiction section or on FanFiction.net. Eventually. I've been pretty bad when it comes to writing... xD;

Anyway, this is my first update to Rustboro City; I haven't had a lot of time since I started to get any further, but I'm going to play again, soon.

Starting a Nuzlocke run on Emerald was probably a bad idea; its really the only Generation of Pokemon games that I've actually liked and used each of the Starters in multiple runs for. So I spent a bit of time before playing which Starter I would actually choose, and decided to go with Torchic, even though late-game its the worst choice, given that there's too much darn water in Hoenn.

Anyway, after getting started with all the basic information required of a new game on a Pokemon title, I headed over to Route 103 to take on Brendan, who my Torchic, Kiri (female, Impish nature) took out easily. Another lucky thing to note is that I thankfully didn't encounter any wild Pokemon on Route 103, since I would have been unable to capture them if they appeared.

After heading back through Oldale Town back to Littleroot Town for a debrief with the Professor and picking up the last few essentials I needed to get my adventure on the way! These being the ever-so-precious Pokeballs, though I'd have to wait until I got through Route 101 before I could capture anything, seeing as Kiri was met on Route 101. (this is probably incorrect, but I decided not to catch anything on Route 101 regardless, since at the time, I didn't have the rules on-hand to reference it)

Anyway, on Route 103, I stepped into the grass, and found Zippy the Zigzagoon! (male, Lvl. 3, Naive) I always tend to keep Pokemon in my party anyway, so regardless of if I was going to continue using him or not, I decided to keep him on hand so that he could pick up items for me. But hey, it being a Nuzlocke run, every Pokemon is precious. With this new realisation in mind, I decided to spend the 3,300 I had on some supplies; I picked up some more Pokeballs, and spent the rest of the money on Potions, seeing as they will be extremely valuable in keeping my Pokemon alive when I'm in a pinch, or when I'm not near a Pokemon Center.

I trained Zippy up a couple levels before heading for Petalburg in a rather uneventful journey; the Trainers there were of little challenge, and since I'm seemingly part-ninja, I didn't come across any wild Pokemon in Route 102, so I decided to visit the City before turning right around and trying my luck on a Ralts. I was hoping for a female one, but instead, I got Lewis the Poochyena! (male, Lvl. 3, Careful)

With the maximum number of Pokemon I can get without having to visit Petalburg's Gym and meeting dad and Wally, I headed back home to Route 101 to train Lewis. It almost came apart, when a wild Wurmple decided it wanted to deal 5 damage, and since I wasn't paying attention, I didn't see if it was a critical hit or not, but thankfully, Lewis was capable of taking it out with his next attack. I vowed to be more careful (heh...) from then on, but another darn Wurmple came along and did the exact same thing! ...and go figure, I wasn't paying attention again... I don't seem to learn from past mistakes-- hope that doesn't come back to bite me in the backside...

Anyway, I pressed on, did some grinding for Zippy (Kiri was a fair bit ahead at this point) and did the events in Petalburg; met with dad, met with Wally and helped him catch a Pokemon, returned to dad and got my next objectives;

- Defeat four Gym Leaders!
- Visit Rustboro City!
- Catch four more Pokemon!
- Grind everyone to Level 10!

It was pretty standard; I always grind up to level 10+ before the first Gym, but in this playthrough, its more urgent to do so. After all, you need to be prepared! Anyway, on Route 104, I caught Porter the Wingull! (male, Lvl. 3, Bashful)

Objective Progressed!
- Catch four more Pokemon! (1/4 captured)

I headed all the way back and did some more grinding, boosting Porter up to the same level as the rest of my party, which at the time, was Level 9. I fought a few more Trainers on Route 104, and froze when I got to the entrance to Petalburg Woods... you know the drill.

I high-tailed it back to Petalburg and bought 10 Antidotes; I know I was being paranoid, but its better to be safe than sorry, right? Anyway, I got half way through the Woods before I encountered a wild Pokemon, which turned out to be Jones the Shroomish! (male, Lvl. 5, Lax)

Objective Progressed!
- Catch four more Pokemon! (2/4 captured)

I decided to keep heading through the Woods for now, and train Jones up after I got to Rustboro, so I carried on, fought off the Team Aqua goon who comes to harass the Shroomish-loving (*hides Jones*) Devon Corp. office worker and pressed on to the other side of Route 104, which I was a little disappointed in; I was hoping that it would be a really short, but new Route. It turns out I expect a little too much.

I picked up Bullet Seed (TM09) from some guy near the Flower Shop near the Woods and cleaned out the area of Trainers; just about everyone but Jones were Level 10 or 11 now, so after picking up the berries in the area, I headed on up into Rustboro City!

Objective Complete!
- Visit Rustboro City!

But before I stopped playing, I picked up Cut from the Cutting House and had a bit of an explore in some of the buildings. I'll likely head over to... I think its Route 105, and see what I can find there, do some grinding with Jones and then hit the Gym hard.

Um just a quick question, with the one Pokemon in each area rule, does that mean the first one you see after you get Pokeballs or does it mean if you catch one Pokemon in the area you can't catch another

EDIT: After some serious contemplation, I have decided to combine this challenge with the Solo Challenge that I will be starting in the Hack ROM Nuzlocke Silver (yes that's actually the name of the Hack).

Um just a quick question, with the one Pokemon in each area rule, does that mean the first one you see after you get Pokeballs or does it mean if you catch one Pokemon in the area you can't catch another

It's kind of both, some people just start the rule after they get the Pokeballs.

But the traditional rule is if you successfully catch a Pokemon, no second Pokemon at all, even if you fail to catch it for any reason other than game corruption, too bad. Does that answer your question? If you need anymore help, don't hesitate to ask me.

Anyways, I'll probably post my ending team for Black 2 even though I never signed up here, it was a personal nuzlocke, but I'll post my ending team here. I'm in Castelia Sewers now. :):)

Got another update, and its fairly sizeable, since I was able to take on two Gym Leaders, and get all the way over to Verdanturf Town.

One place I didn't look in was the Pokemon School, which funnily enough, I ended up forgetting was here. So anyway, I went in and picked up the Quick Claw that the teacher hands out, and bumped into that creepy guy Scott. Insulting my pride as a Trainer... who does he think he is!?

Anyway, I decided to head on over to Route 105, so that I could capture a new team member, which is when I found Alexis, the Taillow! (female, Lvl. 7, Adamant)

Objective Progressed!
- Catch four more Pokemon (3/4 captured)

She would be a very weclome member of the team, so I decided to train her and Jones up a bit, before I took on the Gym; everyone but Jones and Porter, who I got to Level 13 to challenge the Gym with. Zippy had an awful time of it against School Kid Karen, who got ridiculously lucky with 3 immobilisations in a row, knocking Zippy all the way from 32 to 5 HP, but thankfully, he was able to take it down. I did end up going over to Rusturf Tunnel and managed to catch Carla the Whismur (female, Lvl. 6, Bold) before taking on the Gym, but I decided to leave training her up until after the Gym, since I knew I wouldn't be using her, at least for now.

Objective Complete!
- Catch four more Pokemon (4/4Captured)

Lewis' bad luck with critical hits continued, as this time he took a critical hit Uproar to the face which very nearly gave me my first loss of the game. It did a huge chunk of damage that left him on 1HP, and I immediately bailed him out and got Kiri to take it out, but that Whismur... it got another critical hit that thankfully only did 10 damage. This isn't good for my heart... lol The rest of the time Lewis took crits, which were many times, he was at a HP level that could handle it comfortably. Though it did make training him rather difficult...

Zippy had a bad time with Uproar as well; missing three times in a row with Tackle, leaving him with 6HP. But he came out on top, despite the tense moment. Speaking of Zippy actually, he seemed to have a thing about Great Balls, as soon as he hit Level 11... 5 of the 7 Pickups he's found had been Great Balls, so he was making sure I was well stocked on Pokeballs, at least.

After a while, I managed to get all my Pokemon that I didn't plan on using in the Gym to level 15, headed to the Pokemon Center and headed straight for the Gym, after making sure my supplies were in order.

I waded through the Gym Trainers and challenged my first Gym Leader, Roxanne. I decided to lead with Porter to let him get the easy experience from the Geodudes she uses, which worked out perfectly. But when she sent out Nosepass, I knew that she'd be able to survive one Super Effective hit, so I brought in Jones to take care of it. Thankfully, the Rock Tomb missed, so I'd gotten a free switch-in!

Jones pretty much dominated the fight thankfully (after all, the Nosepass blocked him from escaping, so I couldn't switch out if anything went wrong), though he did take a critical hit, that dealt just less than half health to him, but with Leech Seed and Absorb, he was able to whittle down the Nosepass through the two health recovery items she had and into defeat.

So I got the Stone Badge!
...and the Rock Tomb TM!

All happy that I'd got the badge, I headed out of the Gym and oh no! Some pirate guy had stolen some goods! So I ignored it and healed my Pokemon at the Pokemon Center, hah... but then I did follow the two guys who ran off towards the north end of the city. After more awkward shuffling through the grass and nervously trudging through the Tunnel for fear of Lewis' life, I found the pirate guy who had stolen Peeko! Mr. Briney's Wingull! As an owner of a Wingull myself, I stomped up to the guy and kicked him to the curb, freeing Peeko and liberating the Goods that he had stolen!

Mr. Briney seemed to be happy, as he left for his cottage on Route 104 South, and the clerk guy-person was so happy, that he gave me... a Great Ball... ehh...

He did take me to the president, and insulted that one of his employees would be as cheap as to only give a Great Ball for the help I had given his company, he gave me a PokeNAV for agreeing to deliver a letter to his son, Steven in Dewford and the Goods I recovered from the Aqua goon to the Slateport Shipyard! So with a quick warning about Team Aqua and Magma, I was off on the road again! An employee gave me the Match Call feature as I left, and when I walked towards the southern exit of the city, I forgot all about Brendan, who challenged me to a battle.

I easily beat him, and picked up Carla after giving Lewis a rest, so that I could train her. It took a while, but I trained her all the way up to Level 20, where she evolved. The reason behind it was that I wanted to try and keep all my Pokemon on an equal level, since then I'd be able to switch them in as I need them, and it doesn't just leave them all cooped up in boxes all the time. The naming rule in action!

Anyway, after the training session and the purchase of some Paralyse Heals, I decided to give good ol' Mr. Briney a visit so that I could make my way to Dewford.

Once there, I quickly picked up the Old Rod from the fisherman in town and went to fish out a Water-type Pokemon from the shore in the town. I got pretty lucky, and pulled out a Tentacool that I named Talina (female, Lvl. 9, Calm), who I decided to head back to Petalburg Woods to train. Problem being, she wasn't all that good with just Poison Sting, and since I didn't have any TMs I could teach her, I decided to leave her at Level 11 and train her later, once she had a move I could work with.

Because I like going through caves practically blind, I decided to feel my way through Granite Cave, in the process, capturing Rosetta the Zubat (female, Lvl. 8, Quiet) I was a little disappointed in ending up with a Zubat, but after getting through Granite Cave to see Steven and obtain the TM for Steel Wing, she really started to impress me! She did have a close call with a Geodude, though; I accidentally ordered her to attack when she was really low on HP, but thanks to confusion, the Geodude managed to kill itself! I should really be more careful...

Since Lewis was at a huge disadvantage in this Gym, I decided to let him rest again, and opted to instead bring out Rosetta; though she didn't have any Flying-type moves yet, she would be more useful in a Fighting-type Gym for resistances sake. I decided to do a little more than just make sure my Pokemon were a good level; seeing as Porter and Alexis were going to be the main two Pokemon I'd be using in this Gym, I gave Alexis the King's Rock that Zippy had picked up from somewhere to try and get some flinches on the Pokemon she didn't outright KO.

I fought through the Gym Trainers easily enough, and after a while, it was Brawly's turn to face the music of Flying-type Pokemon! The first two Pokemon he used went down easily enough; the only problem I encountered was with Meditite, who used Focus Punch when I switched into Jones. Amazingly he survived, and it kinda felt like all he knew was Focus Punch, because for the rest of his turns, he spammed it while I siphoned off his HP to replenish Jones' supply. I daresay I was probably getting a little arrogant in how comfortable I was with the Gym after that, and when he sent out his Makuhita, I thought it best to let Porter get some battle time... but with a Bulk Up under its belt, the Makuhita dealt MASSIVE damage with Vital Throw, launching poor Porter into the far wall and ending his journey with me... it was a real blow, to be sure.

...and things were not looking too easy, all of a sudden. I struggled to decide who to send out, and eventually decided on Kiri, who managed to burn him with Ember, though even with a burn, possibly causing myself more grief than I'd have liked because of the possibility of Guts, the Makuhita, after building up more Bulk Ups, was still doing about 3/4 HP damage to Kiri... a critical hit would have taken her down in one fell swoop, and I'd be down two Pokemon from one Gym...

But thankfully, with the power of Super Potions and some insane luck in terms of avoid critical hits, she was able to survive and take down the Makuhita.

I'd gotten the Knuckle Badge and the Bulk Up TM... but it came at the cost of a dear friend's life...

R.I.P Porter
Fought valiantly against Brawly's Makuhita,
but was unable to take such a heavy blow...
You will forever be missed.
Level 3-16

We all left the Dewford Gym with heavy hearts, but soldiered on to Slateport after adding Lewis to the party again, where the first darn battle we had was with a Wingull, of course... and every Sailor that I encountered had one, too... *sniffle*

It was something to be expected, though; people are going to have a Pokemon you once had along the line, regardless... but it was just a little too soon.

Anyway, I hit Slateport, went to the Shipyard to find that the Captain wasn't around, and hit the Museum, to have a look at the fancy exhibits. Turns out the Captain was actually in the museum, musing over a model replica of the S.S. Anne, and when I approached him to give him the Goods, some Aqua goons approached to try and take them from us. But I was able to put them down easily. Then the Aqua leader showed up and warned me not to meddle in their affairs again... pfft.

Route 110 was my next destination, where I managed to secure Lucile the Electrike! (female, Lvl. 13, Quiet) Poor Lewis ended up with another time-out in the box so that I could train her up, and then I decided to head on up towards Mauville City, but not before doing the first Trick Master 'puzzle' and revisiting Route 103 to collect and battle what I couldn't from the west side of the river that flows through it.

After doing that, I met Brendan for another battle, where he gave me the Itemfinder after I beat him, but not before he cheekily said that he was surprised that I'd been training... >_>;;

Mauville City was kind-of uneventful; I picked up the HM for Rock Smash from the Rock Smash Gu... I mean... "Rock Smash Dude", got the Mach Bike since I'll likely be using it sooner than the Acro Bike and fought Wally outside the Gym, where Alexis easily dispatched his Ralts in one attack. That creepy Scott guy showed up again, too. He must have been gambling in the Game Corner when he saw me dispatch Wally's Ralts. He doesn't seem to know anything about Pokemon, though. He thinks that being a trainer is all about power... Oh, how little you know, Mr. Creepy Man.

Anyway, onto Route 117, where I picked up Lucas the Oddish (male, Lvl. 13, Hasty) and fought a bunch of Trainers. Realising I'd forgotten something for the Game Corner though, I ran back to Mauville and cycled all the way back to Slateport via Cycling Road to pick up some Harbour Mail, so that I could give it to the girl in the first house for the Coin Case! I'll have to do some slots, at some point...

But anyway, I'm presently just getting prepared for the upcoming Gym battle, now. The loss of Porter was pretty hard on me, so I think I'll get a few more levels on my party before I take the Gym on.

Well hey there guys, haven't posted here in a while, but why not come back by advertising not one but TWO video Nuzlocke runs I'm doing! So exciting amirite?!

Anyway, here's episode 1 of both of them! Hope you guys enjoy, or at least don't despise completely and all that cool stuff. If you gots any criticisms, well, that's cool too I GUESS

Pokemon Engrish Emerald:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvVyQmllGH4

Yeah, that's right, didn't expect there to be an Engrish Emerald now did ya?! Well we randomly stumbled upon it and figured "hey les nuzlocke it cuz no onez ever done an emerald nuzlocke hehehehe". But hey, at least it's original in the sense that it's terribly translated?!

Pokemon Vietnamese Crystal:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mp-8bbWiBQQ

Yeah, this game's been done before, but my friend, Doubletroubeify, wanted to do a terribly translated Pokemon game, and Zyrtec (the other guy Engrish Emerald) already took that one, so I was like "HEY WHY NOT". So ya, not much to say, so I'll stop saying things!

Both runs follow these rules:

Mandatory Rules:
1. If a Pokemon faints, you must release it as soon as possible.
2. If all your Pokemon faint, you must start over. But we're not gonna start over, we'll probably just give up and never do anything ever again.
3. You must nickname every Pokemon you catch.
4. You may only attempt to capture the first Pokemon you encounter in each area, route, cave, city, etc. If you don't catch it, tough ****.

Optional Rules:
1. You may not use any healing items (Revive, Antidotes, etc.)

Oh yeah and if you guys end up being interested in our runs (LOL YEAH OKAY), we also have finished nuzlocke runs of Engrish Green (lol too many terribly translated games ftw?) and this one really really really unfair hack, Pokemon Snakewood.

Thanks for your time and all that really appreciative stuff!

Another update incoming! I only managed to get the third Gym in this one, since things were starting to get a little lengthy, and I thought I'd update here before I actually took the next Gym on. I'll probably try for two Gyms in the next update, or even three, considering there isn't much now between Flannery, Norman and Winona. (though if I recall correctly, there is New Mauville-- or whatever the Generator place is called)

I'm pretty sure that before the next Gym, I boosted everyone in the party up to about Level 23, just so I had a little cushion to work with. There were really only going to be two Pokemon I would be using in this Gym, considering Alexis and Rosetta had type disadvantages, and while Lucile had the resistance, they too had the resistance to her moves.

At Level 22 though, Alexis and Rosetta evolved into Swellow and Golbat, respectively! Not too far behind was Jones, who evolved into Breloom one level later, and on my training quota for the next Gym. Another great thing was that he also learned Mach Punch, which would come in handy for any of the evil Pokemon that also have the Steel-type.

The Electric-type Gym wasn't so much Electric, as it was other types with Electric-type moves; one in particular was a Youngster who had a Zigzagoon that didn't get to do anything, heh. But Wattson was fun, if only for how jovial he is. Kiri managed to make short work of his Voltorb and Electrike, but I had to switch her out and bring in Jones, because she'd taken a fair bit of damage amazingly enough, and was paralysed by the Electrike. (I think it was Static activating on turn 1) The Magneton went down pretty easily, but the Manectric was a bit of a pain. For one, it critical hit Jones to red with Shock Wave, and the constant healing Wattson did to it made the fight much longer than it needed to be.

Thankfully though, Leech Seed and Mega Drain ruled the day, once again and I got my third badge, the Dynamo Badge, as well as the Shock Wave TM!

Zippy was the one to learn Rock Smash, now that I could use it, and we headed over to the Rusturf Tunnel to see how things were going, over there. It turns out that black belt is a bit rubbish, since he was still standing in front of the rocks, so I told Zippy to smash (I wish I got a Makuhita now, 'cause I'd have called him Hulk and thought him the move, heh...) and broke open the path back to Rustboro City! Turns out he was using the wrong move, 'cause he gave me the Strength HM after I opened up the path. Guess he wasn't the brightest Black Belt at the Dojo.

Doubling back, I saw that creepy office guy stood at the entrance to the cave... it was almost as if he was waiting for me to come, but at least he didn't give me a Great Ball, this time... instead, he gave me a Repeat Ball, which he said his company had just developed.

I pressed onward and visited the president, who gave me the EXP. Share, which would make training Talina 100 times easier.

Back through the Tunnel! I headed north from Mauville, and bumped into a family of four, known as the Winstrates. Rosetta easily dispatched the lot of their Pokemon, and for my troubles, they gave me the Macho Brace, which kind of wasn't worth it, at the moment...

Anyway, a Rock Smash later, I was on Route 111, but due to a sandstorm, I had to take the long way around and go west, picking up Norman the Numel (male, Lvl. 14, Gentle) on Route 112. Heading through the Fiery Path after panicking in front of a Hiker who I realised had Geodudes that could likely EXPLODE, I managed to get my hands on Natalie the Torkoal! (female, Lvl. 15, Sassy)

Up and around we go, I managed to get to the northern section of Route 111 with no hassle. Since I had the Mach Bike, I jumped on, and precariously cycled up the slope near the desert to take on the Black Belt that was hiding there and look for items. Coming down from the hill further north, I got to a house where a kind woman let me rest, but tried getting me in a loop by continually asking if I wanted to rest again... I know our tricks, woman!

I was dreading getting to Route 113. Why? Because I knew exactly what Pokemon I would end up with. Spinda. "You just watch! I'll end up encountering a Spinda, and then something awesome will show up just to troll me! I've seen it in all the other comics!"

A wild Skarmory appeared!

...wat...

Upon catching Quentin the Skarmory (male, Lvl. 16, Jolly), I happily skipped along the rest of the route, until I realised there were some kids hiding in the soot with explosive Koffings... so I raaaan, I ran so far awaaaaay! Picked up the Soot Sack from the shack, and headed over to Fallabor Town. Not a whole lot to do, so after healing up and a small amount of exploring, I headed out to Route 114 and entered the house near the cliff.

The guy inside was kind enough to give me the Dig TM, but his older brother was a jerk and said he wasn't going to give me any fossils... an old man gave me the TM for Roar, after telling me that somehow, his Poochyena could only Roar in battle... somehow... and I headed on through the grass, avoiding wild encounters until later. (I'd only want Swablu from there, and I kinda already have three flying Pokemon)

Meteor Falls were next, and the first Pokemon I managed to encounter... Solrock! But because the darn thing wasted all my Pokeballs, I ended up having to defeat it and move on.

Turns out Team Magma were having around the Falls, picking on some poor scientist guy and going on about some kind of meteorite. Then Maxie showed up, then Archie of Team Aqua showed up, and Magma high-tailed it out of there! Figures... people who use Fire-types would run from those who use Water... but it turns out they stole the Meteorite from the scientist guy! The NERVE! To Mt. Chimney!

But first, I decided to train up Lewis. He'd been sitting in the box for a while and Talina was still being a pain in not learning any Water-type attacks, so I thought it best to bring him out so that he could stretch his legs. (he'd not been out since before reaching Mauville, after all) So I got him to Level 18 first, where he evolved into Mightyena! Then boosted him all the way up to Level 25; just one level off of the party. With everyone levelled up, and Lucile evolving into Manectric, I headed to Mt. Chimney!

"Poochyena. Poochyena everywhere," said Kiri as she put her arm on my shoulder and pointed out towards the sorry excuse of a battlefield, while I held a forlorn expression. Guess Team Aqua aren't serious enough. Suppose I'll have to save the world from an angry Magmar-infested volcano!

So I marched up to Maxie and had Lewis slap his Mightyena in the face, but considering he likes spamming his favourite moves, Sand-Attack and Super Potion, Lewis needed out for the Zubat. Lucile took care of it nicely, but needed out come his Camerupt, who I thought would be a goodd Pokemon to beat with Lewis... but considering Maxie likes CHEATING and tells his Pokemon exactly what kind of Magnitude he wants them to do, he crumbled poor Lewis with a Magnitude 10... Rosetta took care of the Camerupt after that, and as Maxie fled the volcano, I was left with a sense of regret, once again...

R.I.P Lewis the Mightyena
Fought with all his heart against Maxie's Camerupt,
but could not withstand the powerful Magnitude that followed.
You will never be forgotten...
Level 3-26

...and that's where I will leave this part-- on a horrible loss. May the next Gym go by without any issues...

BOSS FIGHT:
I went into the battle confident my Kadabra could sweep his team. With a little Psychic, Giovanni's Onix and Ryhorn wouldn't be bothering us again. Against my better judgement, I decided Psychic could probably take out the Kangaskhan...It sent it's health down into the red zone, but with one Mega Punch, Kadabra had fallen. I sent Hades to finish him off, and hopefully Giovanni too. Hades burnt the Kangaskhan to a crisp, while at the same time using a powerful flamethrower to bring the Rocket Hideout to the ground. He used fly to take us through the flames, heading toward the game corner stairs. I called him into his pokeball and hit the switch to the stairway. Hopefully the game corner structure can hold with the oven under it. I told everyone to evacuate just in case. I watched from outside to see if Giovanni was coming out. After about 6 hours I decided that he was dead. I headed to the Pokemon Tower to bury Kadabra.

Next time: Rival and Pokemon Tower

In Memory Of BigTooth

Okay since last time I never really confirmed the rules im using. I'll use 1 3 4 and 5.

A Poisonous Forest

I caught a Pikachu in Viridian Forest And nicknamed it Zapp. (The thing almost took out SQUIRTLE!) He's a tough little thing. I trained Zapp up a little bit before battling. He went up to Level 6. (Misty's a dead woman. Or maybe Zapp will be a dead man?) WormThang went to level 5. Zapp got poisoned and we found an antidote at the last step. Hallelujah! And then Squirtle got poisoned near the end and barely got to the Pokemon Center.... I have good and bad luck with poison...

Working Out at the Gym

When I got to the Pokemon Center, I boxed WormThang as he probably wouldn't be needed for this gym. Then we went to the gym. There was an old dude that was... weird. Bye. I battled the boy and then Brock. Squirtle is gaining levels like its nobody's buisiness! I bubbled my way to victory, earning myself the Boulderbadge.

Mt. Moon

As I go on, I get the running shoes. I also realize that I have to catch another Pokemon. Well Zapp actually learned a new move, Quick Attack. And Squirtle is close to evolving so yeah. Our next Pokemon issssss...... Lucky me. A Nidoran(F)! I catch her, nickname her Zoey, and switch her to the front to grind her. (I promise you, I really encountered it on my first try.) I healed at the pokecenter by Mt. Moon and ground Zoey to level 12. I soon encountered a Jigglypuff, which made me mad. After that we entered Mt. Moon.....

The Nuzzlers:

Squirtle Level 15
Nidoran(F) (Zoey) Level 12
Pikachu (Zapp) Level 12

Boxers:

Caterpie (WormThang)

Deceased:

Rattata (BigTooth)

And how do you get the spoiler tags? So I can be more organized next update.

Hello everyone, gonna post my Nuzlocke Challenges here! :D

Now first off, I dont think I signed up here....so...

I will play-through five games:

Red
Johto Game (Don't know which one yet)
Hoenn Game (Don't know yet either)
Platinum
Black 2

The order will be Red, Platinum, Black 2, Johto, Hoenn

My Rules:

1. Any Pokémon that faints is considered dead, and must be released.
2. The player may only catch the first Pokémon encountered in each area, and none else.
If the first Pokémon encountered faints or flees, there are no second chances.
3. Rather than releasing the Pokémon, it can be migrated or permanently boxed should it happen to faint (This doesn't apply to Red).
4. Considering a black out/white out to be "game over," even if there are Pokémon left in the PC.
5. No using of legendaries (If I have to capture and use it is the only exception to this rule).
6. Only able to catch two of the same species (ex: only two Pidgeys).

I already started Red, so here are the videos! :)

First Part:

Wayyyyyyy more recent parts:
Part 5 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45RUoka7Jm8)
Part 6 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HZ6-gLUb_M)

I'll post Part 7 soon, tootles for now! :D

OP is permanently banned. Sorry to say this long going thread has to stop here. Someone that can keep up with it can make a new one, of course, and please lol. I don't want one of those nubby Nuzlocke threads though.

Locked.
