Idol shaves head in penance for breaking band's rules

    A member of the idol group AKB48 shaved her head in penance after she was caught seeing her boyfriend, which is against the rules for members of the group. It seems a little extreme, yes? Talk about expectations put on the idols and from the fans.

    It's kind of interesting that the two articles there have conflicting reports of reactions by fans, the first saying fans thought it was a bad restriction and the other saying fans thought she knew what she was doing and have little sympathy.
