Hi, my name is Tony (irl yea) and I'm from South Africa.

I've been a fan of the Pokémon franchise since it first came out (i was about in second or third grade at the time) and still am (though not so much of the regular anime anymore) :P

I do consider myself a gen-oner, but that's probably because I use Pokémon as a way to experience some sweet nostalgiaz (either that or its because they didn't have weird-ass ice cream or cotton candy monsters in the roster back then - though I'm not too sure if tangela isn't supposed to be based on the flying spaghetti monster...)

Anyway, I'm an avid Pokémon gamer and am looking forward to X and Y. I'm currently playing White 2 and am looking to complete my dex, so if anyone is at all interested, you can probably PM me or something...

PS, I have already read the forum's FAQ and rules ;p

Hey there Tony, and welcome to PC! I'm Zach, and it's a pleasure to meet you! {:3}

Ah, the good days of Generation 1.. <3 if you ever wanna discuss it, just look over in our Metal & Color Generation Gaming (http://www.pokecommunity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=36) section here, where you can discuss the old classics! Also, if you're interested in being in the know of X and Y, be sure to head on over to our X and Y (http://www.pokecommunity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=256) section as well! :]

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate in asking anyone around on staff (users with the bold usernames), and they'd be glad to help you out at any time! :D

Hope you enjoy your stay here at PC! Feel free to send me a private message or a visitor message if you ever wanna chat! ^_^

Hey there and welcome to PC!

I have also been a fan of Pokemon since the good old days of Red and Blue. In fact, I got my Red Version the day it came out! Good times. I agree that the older Pokemon designs are so much better than the newer ones, but I still enjoy the new ones as well. Actually, the designs for the new X and Y Pokemon are looking quite good! Really an improvement from the designs in the previous games. Speaking of X and Y (http://www.pokecommunity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=256), check out our new section dedicated to it! There you can chat and speculate about the games.

We also have sections dedicated to all the games over in the General Pokemon Gaming (http://www.pokecommunity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=10), from Red/Blue/Yellow to White and Black 2. You can chat about your favorites, post your teams, keep a travel journal if your replaying them, and so much more! Defintely recommend checking it out, especially since the old games are included in there.

If you need anything, dont hesitate to ask (:

Hello Tony, welcome to the community!

It's not often we get people from South Africa, or even Africans in general. But at least PC has loads of cultural diversity which is why the community is very interactive and like one big family. Toshiro and Zach have already shown you around sections you may like, but I'll add my bit in too. The X & Y section is definitely the one you should check out if you are interested in discussing the new games, and also since I heard you want to "complete the Pokedex" maybe you might be interested in Trade Corner (http://www.pokecommunity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=161) as well?

I'm happy you read the rules because it's always important to follow them because I don't want to see new members getting in trouble for breaking even the simplest of rules. Also, as Zach advised you can always ask a mod if you need help because part of their job is to help those who need assistance. I'm always here if you need someone to talk to, just pop by my profile and leave a VM!
