Pokemon Hoso are usually reruns from various episodes. Sometimes episodes called Hoso Specials are aired. These episodes are side stories of various characters. They take place after Ash left to the Houen region and outside the general story plot of Ash and co. They show what is going on in other places while Ash is in the Houen region. The plots are IMO better than an average episode you'll see in general. A lot of characters made their re-appearence in the Hoso specials, like Casey, Casidy and Butch, Tracey, Richie etc. Currently there are 12 Hoso Specials. they are:
- Brock Save the Pewter gym
(Brock saves the Pewter gym from his water-Pokemon-loving mother)
- Revenge Battle at Cerulean gym
(Misty tame a run wild Gyarados at the Cerulean Gym and the Fighting Brothers are taking revenge on Misty)

(Jesse, James and Meowth saves a small village)
- Epic Battle at Oak's Lab!
(Tracey, Delia and prof. Oak prevents Casidy and Butch from robbing Oak's lab)
- The Pichu Brothers
- Misty! Find the Cascade Badges!
(Tracey, Misty and Sakura are making some new Cascadebadges)
- Pok?mon Investigation! Professor Oak is missing!
(Tracey and Richie are investigating the disappearence of prof. Oak)
- Calling Great Detective Meowth. Is Niece Azurill in Great Trouble!?!
(Two Pichu shorts in one)
- The seriousness of Misty's Match! Risking A Life?
(Misty and Casey meets a shy boy who wrote a love letter to Misty)
- Love and the Origin of Youth!
(a flashback how Jesse, James and Meowth met each other --back in the days when they were still the tough guys--)
- Another Legend of Celebi!
(Richie meet Celebi who takes him back in time to change an event in the past.)
- Pallet Town, The Setting Off of the Pok?mon Trainer
(A new trainer is recieving his first Pokemon from prof. Oak. But this doesn't go as smooth as it should...)
