Wings split apart..

It seems like yesterday,
I lifted with wings.
Attached to my back,
sewed in like strings.

By the end of the day,
I started to land,
for my wings slit apart,
I was left to stand.

It seemed like today,
the weather was cold.
I loved it this way,
not bright, nor bold.

I grew my wings again,
and this time they stayed.
They weren't spilt apart,
They didn't fade.

I noticed you're mad.
Is it me? Is it me?
No, I'm glad.
And I'm glad you can see..

That second, it seemed,
the strings started to break.
But they came back together,
My wings stayed in place.

By the end of the day,
tears trickled down my face,
for my wings split apart,
but this time, with grace...

(Okay, on this, it may not seem to make sence, but, oh well!)
