Well, after the Family Movie Night (Monsters vs Aliens) I decided to extend it to Misheard Whisper's Anime Night. As such, the schedule is as follows, unless interrupted by nosy family members.
10.05 pm - Current time
10.35 pm - Princess Mononoke (abridged XP)
11.30 pm - Sky Crawlers
Princess Mononoke, I saw for the first time last week and fell in love with immediately. I'm going to skip the hour or so of exposition etc and get into the action this time, though, because that's what anime's all about, right?
And Sky Crawlers is the new film from the director of Ghost in the Shell, so it ought to be good. Looks really interesting, too.
So, it'll be about one am by the time I'm done, then I'm just gonna read manga until I drop. It's a Friday night, after all, so there's no need to worry about getting up early. I think I deserve a break, anyway, after the fiasco that the last week and a half turned out to be.
Oh, and I'm also reading three manga at the same time as all this.
NG Life - a love comedy about a Roman gladiator reincarnated in the 21st century. His wife is reincarnated as a guy, and his best friend (male) comes back as a cute girl with a crush on him. I'm enjoying it so far, it's really well done. The scanlation quality drops after a few chapters, though.
Fairy Tail - Uh . . . does this even need an introduction? Suffice it to say that I'm liking it, which is kinda surpising as I'm not usually into the whole fantasy/shounen/action thing.
Dou Danjo!? - A boy and a girl swap bodies after banging into each other, and must live each others' lives while they work out how to change back. Seen it a million times before, but usually just as a filler chapter in one of the multitude of harem comedies I read. It's fun so far.
So, yeah, if you're flying over Hamilton tonight, and you get shot out of the sky by beams of geeky otaku power, you'll know where it's coming from.
(Did I mention I'm also wearing my Triforce T-shirt?)
