  • It has been a while.

Am I back at PC? I don't know. Most of you are probably racking your brains right now, trying to figure out who the hell this 2,500+ poster is and why you can't seem to remember him. XD It's fine, I don't mind. I'm forgettable.

The thing is, if I come back to PC, what am I gonna do? I haven't written any fanfiction or made any graphics (useless as they were) in ages, and I don't have much interest in discussing the games, manga or anime. Maybe I should take up ROM hacking? jk, I'll leave that to the experts.

Actually, now I think about it, I haven't written anything for a couple of months, let alone fanfiction. I just haven't got the spark on at the moment. I can feel it coming, though. Any day now, the floodgates will open, and the words will just pour through the keyboard. Bad metaphor? Yes. True? Hopefully.

    My anime collection (legal + physical, that is) is now officially underway with Takahata's Grave of the Fireflies. It's a beautiful movie, and I recommend it to anyone with a strong stomach. Not that it's violent or anything, just so, so sad. ;_;

VOCALOIDS are still awesome, and Hayley Williams is still the best thing to happen to music since . . . well, music. Paramore are coming back to New Zealand later this year, and I might just be able to go. That would be amazing; twice in one year! They were damn good the last time.

I got on the scales yesterday, just out of interest, and it seems I've lost 7 kilos since March. I never considered myself fat, just 'slightly above a comfortable size'. Must be because I'm playing badminton two evenings a week now, instead of one like earlier this year or none, like last year.

I was kinda big last year. Relatively speaking.

It's really cold here right now. The holidays are coming up after just one more week of school, and I'm spending the first week in Blenheim, which is gonna be . . . even colder. Ugh. Plus I have a shedload of homework over the two-week break, most of which I'll have to take away with me in order to get done. WHAT SORT OF BULL IS THAT? D:< Holidays should be for holidaying, not frigging studying.

The school diary has a helpful little note in it on next week's page. It says 'Discounting the weekend, you have about 50 hours of free time this week! If you spend just half of this time studying, you'll be well on your way to academic success!' Or something like that.

THE BASTARDS. They want me to do five hours of study a day! That's the same amount I do at school during term! What's the point of even having a holiday if that's the attitude they want us to take?

And another blog careens off into schoolwork territory. How boring. I do this every time. Anyway, I've been reading lots of manga lately. It's a steady attraction for me. If only I could make a living reading manga. It's the only thing in my life that I really enjoy doing right now. Maybe I could go work for that anime/manga/comic store in town. Yeah. That'd be nice.

I haven't even played any video games in a long time. My DS hasn't moved from its spot on the nightstand for weeks. What I have been doing is watching Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. Now, before you start laughing, listen. A few weeks ago, I marathoned my way through Yu-Gi-Oh! The Abridged Series. Unfortunately, it seemed to spark an interest. Now I'm stuck. I chose GX to watch because it's easy to mock, which is my real motive. Sure, 5D's would have been easier still, but who wants to watch card games on motorcycles, right?

So every night I download an episode or two of GX and then watch them the next day at school during breaks with friends (on an iPod nano with a mini-speaker XD) We call ourselves the Taking The Piss Out Of Bad Anime Club, but naturally we're unofficial. Imagine trying to get that name approved by the admin squad, sheesh. Seriously, GX doesn't even need to be Abridged because it makes fun of itself at every episode.

Hmm, I just had dinner, and that potato tasted like peanut for just one bite . . . how strange. Potato =/= peanut, as far as I'm aware.

Whee, still downloading lots of Vocaloid music. <3 Hatsune Miku forever.

    That was weird.

Classical Studies is fun, but making a newspaper set in Ancient Greece is not. Especially when you have to do it over the holidays. Especially when you didn't actually have to do it over the holidays because it was given to you several months ago and you just ignored it, and therefore it is your fault entirely and you know it. :( sadface.

Yes, I have a terrible work ethic, contrary to what my Spanish teacher said in my report. Maybe I just try hard at Spanish without even noticing? Hmm.

I feel philosophical. What is the meaning of life? Right now, I don't seem to have much purpose. I'm drifting. No, no, bad word choice. That's so negative. I'm not drifting, I'm cruising. Which makes me sound like a lazy bastard, which . . . I am, I guess. My inherent laziness is my biggest personality flaw, besides almost total antisociality, but let's not go there today. I didn't come here for sympathy.

    Or did I? I don't know myself.

I'd better go extract some files or something. Looking forward to listening to my new album. TTFN.

  • On a very slightly related note, I discovered an 18-inch plastic Obelisk the Tormentor in my wardrobe today. How strange.

It's glaring at me from across the room. Quite frightening, really. Or it would be, if my sister didn't seem to have developed a crush on it.

  • Yerse, she does. They include Pete Wentz, the guy from Tokio Hotel and Adam Lambert. Obelisk aside, I'm starting to see a pattern.
