As I've said before, I'v become a moderator on a Yu-Gi-Oh site that uses Flash, called Dueling Network. I'm Hydreigoon, btw.
Since it uses Flash, previous conversations and sometimes even previous chats will slowly fade away, or go away. When you log out, it's reset to zero.
Now I have sucky internet.
You know where I'm going with this.
Anyway, so I get 10+ messages via PM (which is 10x faster than here) per minute, and so some users get ignored.
Sometimes, it's a simple ruling, or they need some help in a duel, like cheating per say. So I go in, straighten things out, or just kick that user.
Other times, I get spammers, users who use vulgarities against me, etc. Sometimes they even threaten to kill me! But it's cool.
So, even though I've been a Mod for 2 days, I've decided DN is full of 3 people:
People who know what they're doing - 10%
Noobs who are learning - 20%
The Douchebags - 110%
Douchebags also include idiots who try to tell me something that I already know, or try to correct me. They don't know their place.
However, one particular incident happened today...
So earlier today, I was doing my rounds, helping peopleout, etc., when this guy came in with a report that a user was harassing him. He had a screenshot, which was vital, and so I looked at said user's history (the offender), and banned him for 7 days.
Now things start getting weird.
Said Offender's friend and himself confronted me. They told me the other guy was lying. I told them to stop lying, and then they told me he used Photoshop.
At first I didn't believe them.
They showed me the original screenshot. Which was obviously legit. I looked at the reporter's screenshot, and realized he used Photoshop.
Now I was pissed.
I confronted him, and it pretty much played out like this:
Hydreigoon: You're a real piece of work.
Hydreigoon: You really thought you could pull one over me, huh?
Hydreigoon: Newsflash. I wasn't born yesterday.
TheDouchebag: what
TheDouchebag: dude they're lying
Hydreigooon: Oh really?
Hydreigoon: Explain this

TheDouchebag: UM HELLO THAT'S SHOPPED DUH, THOSE GUYS ARE LYING LITTLE *************
Hydreigoon: It looks like your true colors are coming out.
Hydreigoon: Listen little boy. I don't know what they teach you in ******* land
Hydreigoon: But you don't pull that kind of stuff over me.
Hydreigoon: You lied, you spammed, you harassed, you lied to me
Hydreigoon: Do I look like a dumbass?
TheDouchebag: No
TheDouchebag: No

So yeah, I can't believe what sort of crazy **** happened today. I unbanned the other guy's account, stayed on Admin duty for a 2 more hours and logged out.
And that's that.
