If you know me, you know I'm a very obsessed Owl City fan and just a fan of Adam Young's musical projects in general. But mostly Owl City since it's his main project.
So when I heard a few weeks ago, he was releasing a new track, , of course I got excited. Then Adam revealed the artwork and title of the track on his Instagram and my excitement got so much bigger. Then finally came the previews and my hype grew even more!! Now today at midnight he finally released it on iTunes and for free on Owl City's website.
And it's called "Beautiful Times" and it has famous Youtube violinist Lindsey Stirling doing strings and I just
I LOVE IT SO MUCH. I CAN'T HANDLE IT. I've replayed at least 6 or 7 times tonight. It reminds me of Owl City's old style, but also combines a bit of his style from the Midsummer Station, his last album. And Lindsey Stirling, the best violinist on Youtube does the string arrangement in the song so wonderfully. Making Owl City + Lindsey Stirling the perfect combination for me.
The song is currently free to download on his website, but it's also on iTunes and I bought it immediately cause I just love supporting him and giving him the money he deserves for such a wonderful song. No regrets because this song was definitely worth wasting a $1.29 on. :3
According Owl City's website, Adam's doing something he's never done before and release several EPs (extended plays, you know those really short records with 1-6 ish songs on them) throughout the year. Based on how "Beautiful Times" sounds, I'm definitely looking forward to the rest of 2014! :D
Okay now excuse me while I fanboy over Owl City again.. :P
