  • . . . I see the newspaper headline next to me reads 'ROCK FALL TRAGEDY' and the first thing that pops into my head is 'ROCK FALLS, EVERYONE DIES'?

. . . I'm walking through town, glancing sideways at the long-haired louts with their cigarettes and cans of V, and legitimately feeling justified in believing that I am a better person because my jeans don't have holes in them, my lungs aren't going to kill me before I turn 40, and I have a Ray Bradbury book tucked under my arm?

. . . I'm giving the noisy jerkasses a few metres away my best evil glare for not shutting the hell up in the library? And again, feeling like a superior human being because I'm sitting here quietly with my laptop and my little pile of books?

. . . All of these actually happened in the last day or so. *sigh*

You seem to recognize and question all of that about yourself. Don't see how that makes you a bad person. Having confidence is good. xD Maybe having too much is iffy, but oh well.

  • OK, well, maybe not the last one so much. That just makes me feel like a stupid person, because they were all big guys who looked like they'd pound you if you so much as looked at them funny.

But the first two make me feel like kind of a dick, especially the second. More of a dick than usual, for sure. Caliban will vouch for how much of an ass I am day-to-day.

  • First one don't worry, I would think the same. XD I'll feel sorry that person has died, but I don't think it's a tragedy. Many people die from rock falls.

The second one all I'm going to say is I don't like Ray Bradbury. :P

The third one oi, I hate it when people won't shut up in libraries. -_-

Well I read Fahrenheit 451 a while ago and I didn't like it for some reason. D: Maybe it's because not too many things happened. I MIGHT give it a second read, though, and see if I'll like it better this time.

  • I read that for the first time a week or so ago, actually, and I thought it was brilliant, myself. Of course, I tend to like those sorts of dystopian things . . .
