I'm still excited! I've wanted to write this since I plotted it out. :D I've wanted to write something that I've pretty much forbidden myself to become angsty for awhile. Last years NaNo novel started that way... it was so nice. Then I ruined the mood. That's what I get for putting it in such an troubled world. T_T
Sadly, progress seems to be a bit slower than last year. Part of it might be because I knew more of what I was doing. I knew the characters and setting a bit better than I do now... then again, that's the challenge this year: do something I haven't done before. Granted, it's not completely true (I'm doing it in the same part of the galaxy as the untitled [p-r] story), but it's true enough that it'll take time. I'm also challenging myself by writing in first person present instead of third person past like I usually do. I still have to get used to that. XD;
For NaNo, I have two goals this year:
1. Hit 50k, obviously.
2. Complete at least 3/4ths of the story at least. I don't know if what I'll write will be good enough for me to go back to or not. So, I'd like it mostly done.
Who knows -- maybe I'll finish it, start seriously editing it, and try posting it on my neglected story LJ. :D Okay, so I still use the story LJ for personal use (random posts no one else would care about, plot ideas, and writing progress which would get lost in my normal LJ)... but there's no public posts.
But yeah... just wanted to update my blog, really. XD Wish it was about PC, but eh. I don't really have much to say on that front.
