I couldn't wait till 5,000 posts..
My name is Francis: you can call me Francis, Frants, Dlanijer, Jin, whatever :D
I'll be blogging about some of my adventures in Kalos as well as my personal feelings with the current (sixth) generation of Pocket Monsters! So let's get started with a little bit about me:
Quick snapshot: California born and raised, loves to eat and climb walls and watch anime, advocate for a cure for psoriasis, and a loving parent to a puppy pup. As my welcome thread stated, I'm a bit older (and I act before thinking). I'm in my late 20's, which relatively isn't older but I believe a majority of this forum and blogs are going to be the younger crowd. But that shouldn't stop anyone from playing this game!
It's got everything for everyone - a story to follow with creatures that you will befriend and forever cherish even after the Elite Four! And if you want to compete, you're covered with battles against other people and the metagame! Even within the metagame, you want to be a master breeder? Learn the mechanics and trade people for some awesome Monsters that you will see (hopefully) compete in the near future.
Ahem.. aside from the little advertising up there.. back to me! For those that are wondering, I have both X and Y - benefits of working a full-time job. I will be playing Pokemon Y first, and then afterwards I'll finish up X. My goal is to create a somewhat competitive team for the metagame, specifically the Video Game Championships (VGC). Although trades from Black 2 & White 2 will be here sooner than people think.. I'm starting completely fresh. I won't buy Black 2 & White 2 in order to RNG monsters (too lazy to learn everything about it) and I personally find more fun looking and breeding for my monsters the 'difficult' way. I know there are tons of disputes for this, but I won't take sides. I just want to see how far I, personally, can get with the way I play the game. I also wish to be known as the only VGC player older than 7 who uses a 2DS ;)
For now, the blog will be focused on the main game and my thoughts on current issues within the sixth generation. As such.. let's start it off with the teammates!
Mostly Comprised of just monsters I like at this time, most likely not my future competitive team (though I wish some of them would be on it). I've gotten them somewhat over-leveled.. since I've only just beaten the second gym and gone through that Reflection cave thingie-ma-bob. I'm slow, I'm trying to catch all the monsters that are in an area (sans water.. for now..)
