Update on my Dad

  • Well, I should give a new update on how my Dad's doing these days.

    In a nutshell, he's back to what he was before they discovered his leukemia. He's nearly back to full strength and doesn't need me to do certain things for him. The good news is that he's driving again. He "passed" a driving test when he drove with me and my Mom to an appointment with his cancer doctor, seeing if he can drive without problems.

    Right now, they are going to do monthly chemo treatments on him, just to make sure it doesn't come back on us in the near future. His cancer doctor was amazed by the rate of his recovery so far. So that's good news for all of us.

    His birthday was around 2 weeks ago and I gave him a Wal-Mart gift card so he can go buy some new Hillbilly music for himself. God, I hate that crap so much.

  • I'm really glad to hear your dad's okay. :D

    I'm sorry to say I snorted when you mentioned hillbilly music, though. XD;

  • Hillbilly music is what I call Country music. I hated it ever since middle school when they would just play that stuff in the mornings. That's the last thing I wanted to hear in the mornings. All Country music is about dogs, hunting, love, death, guns, alcohol, pickup trucks and being all depressed!

    THAT'S IT!

    I am so glad your Dad is doing so much better. That was a total scare...man having cancer is no laughing matter. I was glad they caught it early. Lol, Hillbilly music! I think I will join you on that. I don't like country either. There is no beat so you can't dance to it. I love to listen to music that has a beat.
