    • Right, so reading Mr Cat Dog's latest entry, I've been kind of wondering what you guys want to see in Pokemon General. I mean suuuure, right now its become a discussion-about-pokemon-franchise board but, you know; I'm kind of wishing it'll be more than that, you know? Because it kind of is!

    So anyway, got any suggestions for PG?
    Or...how to improve it?

    • Well personally, I'd like to see a little more of myself in PG, so I should work on that. Other than that, more Starfox general discussion. Maybe a discussion topic of the week like OVP do?

    • I liked the idea for Who's that Pokemon and having contests in there. It would be a good idea to have some good debate threads there but then again we do have the Pokemon vs Pokemon so that can count for it. I do think the Manga section inside the PG does need more activity.

    Seriously, though, if PG has any issues, it's that it doesn't have a clear focus about what 'should' be posted in there. The description makes it clear that it's essentially a free-for-all for anything that doesn't belong in another section. While that's slightly inevitable of a board with 'General' in its title, I think a little focus shifting to what YOU want PG to be about would certainly encourage people to start making those sorts of threads.

    And emblem contests. They're always a winner. People go nutso over emblems for some reason!

    "Who's that Pokémon?" could probably work. Maybe you show a silhouette of a Pokémon and first person to get the post in with the correct answer wins and gets a point. The person with the most points at the end is the winner and gets the emblem.

    Other than that, you could have a Pokédex contest (sort of expanded from the Pokémon Trivia version), where users sign up, then randomly get assigned another user in the list. They then have to write a detailed (one or two paragraphs minimun) Pokédex entry for that user. Judges would decide a winner and runners up for emblems. :)

    • The problem with "Who's that Pokemon" is that what is someone keeps guessing the right Pokemon correctly every-time? I do like the idea of a Pokedex contest though. Either way a contest is a good idea and I'd like to help if needed.

    I could help with Pokemon Crossword. ^o^

    And I pretty much agree with Cat Dog Mr here. Make it clear of what kind of Pokemon related threads that should be posted there. And contests and emblems and stuff. I COULD HELP WITH CONTESTS.
