  • 2016 may be the one of the most fucked up years in my life, but quite honestly, I'm actually excited for October, November, and December coming up. These next three months, I will be busy, busy!

The month of September wasn't all too bad, so to speak. Things in my end are definitely looking up for the better. At the beginning of the month, I got a job as a tech supporter at a shop. Surely, they do not pay more than my previous job, but at least it'll give me *some* income for me to save up and spend gas money on. As much as I appreciate both my boyfriend Roy, and his mom, I really do need to start doing my own thing. And that's probably going to be my agenda for 2017.

I am now considered a college graduate. September 23rd was my last day, and man, what a ride. This past quarter was probably the most stressful. I was taking Art Appreciation as an elective (needed three electives to graduate), and man, that class was a pain. I got a professor who was extremely paranoid when it comes to plagiarism. She wanted all of our assignments to be genuine and authentic. I struggled so much with it. I'll admit, I do tend to copy and paste some stuff, but I do paraphrase quotes and stuff. But my biggest habit is that I tend to forget to cite them properly, which resulted in getting valuable points off. The final term paper came around, and I was in a wreck. My paper was rejected twice because my plagiarism rating was higher than it should be (she won't accept papers that have a rating higher than 25%). Roy offered to help me out, and you can't imagine how grateful I was that he was able to explain a few terms clearly with me. I even almost pulled an all nighter working on that stupid paper, and got very little sleep the next day. It worried both Roy and his mom as I had so much anxiety at the time. When I finally submitted the paper the third time, the score came back positive…with an 8% rating. I literally cried to the floor. It was the most daunting assignment of my life.

Quite honestly, I would do it again. Well, maybe not.

What's next, you may ask? Now that I'm going to be getting my paper degree soon, at this time I'm taking a short break. I'm already considering going back to school, but not the same school I was attending. You see, my IT certifications expired a couple months ago, and I am in need of renewing them. I need to go back and retake the exams so I can either get a pay raise at my current job, or get a much better job either here in Galveston, or in Houston. Again, I may want to wait until January in order for me to do that. But I am planning right now.

I'm really sad that the Pokemon GO craze has finally died down. Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for Generation 2 to come up. I do play occasionally, but not as much as I used to back in July and August. Roy and I do occasionally go to Downtown Houston, and Galveston Island to play, as those are the two current hot spots out there. I am also proud to say that I finally have a higher CP Scyther. All that buddy walking was so worth it.

Outlook for October looks pretty cool, and pretty busy. This coming weekend, I'll be attending Austin City Limits music festival with Roy and his two siblings. I was honored to be invited, as it's going to be my first ever music festival! It might be as big as Coachella, quite honestly! Then the following weekend, it's going to be my second year attending the Texas Renaissance Festival. Hoping this time we would camp out, as we weren't able to do so because Roy didn't feel well at the time, so we only had to attend for a day. Then, HALLOWEEN. I'm not sure what plans are with our group of friends..and I haven't prepared my costume yet! More likely I may be an Inkling this year. Now, where's my gear?
