Recently got Battlefield 3 for the XB360. Been watching different versions of the game via YouTube videos weeks before. Mostly xcalizorz' Battlefield 1945 live commentaries. I really wanted to experience that almost open-world type of game, so I bought it to do just that.
Anyway, it's so much better than any Call of Duty in atmosphere. Both games have there things and I like both of them for those things.
But in BF3 you feel like you're in a warzone. Jets fly overhead, the sound of helicopter rudders are in the distance. The sounds of the weapons are so much more realistic and the will to survive feels much more pertinent than in Call of Duty. It's like in CoD you're willing to through your character life away because you have less of an attachment to him. But in BF, dying seems like the very last thing you want to do, you're more careful and aware.
The maps are gigantic and beautiful. I'm just very pleased all around. This game is awesome.
Just wanted to share what I've been doing in the video game sector.
