Have I ever told you how much I suck at romantic scenes?

Anyway.

So, here I am, writing my NaNo novel, and I'm getting to the interesting part, the one that's been playing out in my head since I decided that, in this part of the story, the female main character's going to propose to the guy.

But I am so STUCK.

I can hardly write "and then they kissed" without having a freakout. I can't do proposal scenes! It took me three paragraphs of spam to have Ash go "Misty, will you marry me" freshman year of high school. T_T (I wish I still had that. Alas, the files were lost many a year ago.)

...I kind of want to read a good Pokeshipping fic now. How weird.

Anyway, I think I'm going back to the spamming method until something good comes out. Worse comes to worse, I can edit it later.

To think I was looking forward to writing this!

Awe! don't feel bad, I suck at writing all together, especially romance scenes. you are way better than I and I know you can write that scene!

I'm a sucker for mushy romance fics. The more WAFF they are, the more I like them. I'm thinking about adding a lot of that in my NaNo project.

I seem to seep romance into everything I write. Although at least the relationships are a bit... different, most of the time. Or, at least, it is out of what I've written. There's quite a bit of marriage as "you scratch my back I scratch yours" kind of thing. The wording I want has escaped me.

I haven't had any pure, fluffy romance in ages. I don't think for most of my stories, it fits in. Well, except my NaNo. Needs moar fluff, though. Bit too much angst.

Sadly, the story doesn't call for a lot of lovey-dovey stuff right now. :( Woe.

I love fluff. The more fluffy, the better I say.

Go into romantic details! <3 Like, what's teh setting? being proposed to is a magical moment for a girl, it's like, one of the best parts of life. :3

Maybe ask some married women, if you know any, what their proposal was like. <3 Most women can tell you exactly how and when it happened and what was going on around them. You can pick and chose what you like and use it as inspiration.

So, what happens when it's the girl that's proposing? Does that make it even more magical? :D

Honestly, half of the fun of the scene, I think, is that it's awkward. It has its romantic moments, but the first part? The actual popping of the question? Oh goodness no.

If I want romantic proposals, I'll play with another story. XD
